Keva puts down his pen and glares at Averus. "Veru claims ye were wrong about the spell. That because it was a seeming and not a true morphing, it should not have mattered. That's why we made that dang wheel do ungodly large, so he could fit on it. And the only dog I could think of that was even close to his size was the mastiff."
"Well, it's true... if ye hadn't panicked, I'd still be in the kitchen. Tied up, true.. but I would have figured out a way to slip that chain eventually." laughed Averus with a shake of his mane. He looks at Kerobian. "Master Kero, ye really didn't know it was me did ye? Man... when ye hit me with that spell, I thought all me bones were going to wind up twisted into knots. It was only a prank... and a good one, too."

Kiddo...if it was a seeming, I would have seen you, not a dog...I'm a Voidmage, kiddo...I can see through illusions, and that includes seemings....trust me...what ye were would have corrupted ye...ye'd have been a dog...

"Told ye so..." mutters Keva as he continues to write out his punishment. "If uncle Kero didnt' see ye, I knew ye were in trouble. Why d'ye think I told ye we couldn't go through with it iffin he stayed."

Averus...trust me...transformation spells are very dangerous...and I don't want the two of you playing with magic anymore...so here is my proposal...and by proposal, I mean here is the new way things will happen...you will clear all spells with me...if I approve, go ahead...if not...stay away....I'll even help with some spells....but know this...if I say no...and you do it anyway...I'll strip you both of your powers...Yes, Keva...I can do that...and if you try one without telling me...even a safe one...I will not only strip you two of magic...I'll turn you both over my knee...am I quite clear?

Suddenly Keva thinks of something else, something that has been troubling him. "Uncle Kero, is my shape shifting a form of morphing? I do it all the time and when you started yelling downstairs I kind of got worried. I mean Ma, Dad, sis and heck even Tam shift all the time. Were not in any danger are we?"

Keva shoves over a page and a half, but he is about two inches shy of the mark. ""I'm sorry, uncle, would have had more but well, a certain canine wannabe kept grumbling in me ear."
Averus, on the other hand, has the required 18 inches. "Ye just need to learn to think on yer feet." quips the horse with a throaty chuckle. "It helps to have a magic pen as well. I would have looked rather odd trying to write with a quill clutched between two hooves while balancing on me back legs. He's right though, Master Kerobian, I did kind of talk his ear off. I think ye'll find it under yer chair. Kind of rolled clear out of his reach it did, when ye came in."
