Complimenting the young Sally, who hailed from a farm of superstitious grandparents with liberal children, Mr. Parguntin gently takes the ball and throws it in the air, letting it bounce and roll whenever it lands, its delicate brass engravings protected by the foam and carpet set over the floor..

"This, Children, is how I determine what we do next. I roll the ball, and whatever it says when it lands, we do. And it has now stopped on..."

...Singing Time. That means we all sing a song we all know. So what is a song here that Everybody knows?"

Luna giggles. 'I know a dwaggie song, buff ye gots to be a dwagon to sing it."

Asuna's ears folded down in sadness and pain hearing the off key notes. She could not sing, nor did shi know any songs. Shi was never taught song, or anything a normal child did except color

As Mr. Parguntin listens attentively, clearly enraptured by the song, Kero gently sweeps over to Asu, sitting down near her and gently pulling her into his arms. Placing a small harp into her hands, one strung with silver wire, he gently begins guiding her through the process of plucking the strings.

As the soft sound fills the room, burgeoning in the atrophy of Agro's song, Luna and Agro find themselves filled with curiosity....Was this their Daddy playing this...and why was he playing with the little kitty?

Meanwhile, Kero is simply murmuring soft encouragement to Asu, gently letting her own fingers lead the way. The song he has been working with her is a simple one, and his harp is designed to be played by finger or claw, and so cannot be harmed by her paws.

"You're doing really well," he whispers to her, his voice muffled by his billowing cloak, "Don't worry, the harp isn't hard to learn. And I will gladly teach you what I know, if you wish. Music should be for everyone, and I know you love it."

Luna watches in silence as her daddy teaches the kitty girl how to play the tiny harp. Never had she heard anything so pretty but try as she would she simply couldn't seem to follow the music all that close. Sighing heavily she curls up to listen, resting her head on her front paws, wishing she could make music too.

Finally, although he quite clearly does not wish to do so, Mr. Parguntin calls a halt to the lesson Kero is teaching Asu. The Voidmage smiles at her as he gets up, gently patting her head, letting his benevolence flow through his mind and into hers, an instinctive connection that says, quite simply, You can trust me. I will not harm you. I am a friend.

Meanwhile, Kero has also noted Luna's dejection, and is wondering why Luna feels so down...there is nothing wrong with simply enjoying music, and generally, every musician was glad to have a willing audience. Promising himself he would talk to her later, Kero gently goes and sits by her, leaving his harp with Asu and cuddling Luna close, pulling her into his lap for a big hug as Mr. Parguntin continues.

"As we have seen, Singing time, or music time, is when I will teach you all how to sing, or how to play an instrument, whichever you choose. Music is very very important in this world, and even if you just learn how to read music, and appreciate its beauty, you will be better off than before." He says to them all, smiling the whole time as he looks at them. He eyes Kero curiously, but says nothing of his impromptu harp lesson, as it clearly did little Asu a lot of good.

"Now, let us see what we roll up next." he says, gently tossing the ball in the air, watching as it comes down on a...
