She nuzzles back then starts to eat. Halfway through the meal, Andra wanders in, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
"Something smells good." he remarks looking a great deal better than he had when he arrived.

Ai looks at her near empty plate and sighs. "You better eat as well, Kero. You haven't had anything since lunch."

Ai sighs. "Kero, I'm not the one stopping you... not anymore. You are... sorry." she looks nervously at Andra who is watching the two of them with curiosity.
"What powers is he talking about?" asks the young priest.
Ai smiles sheepishly and decides to give him the abbreviated watered down version. "Kero has a very strong gift of magic, but he wasn't mature enough to handle it, so it was locked down on him for a time. Then he got sick and the restraints on him got damaged a bit and began to fall earlier than we had hoped they would. So I tied the blocks to his own maturation process. That way he is his own governing factor. As he matures and gains in strength and understanding, his powers will come on line. He keeps saying I can release him, but actually I can't... only he can..."
"and that's the truth... you elder self is holding the reins..." grumbles Ai testily in reply to Kero's frustration.

Andra laughs. "Kero, take care of that cough... you sound absolutely awful. And yes, I already know how much they like your cooking. Tell Shar she's got a reason to be here for a meal and she's dumping her workload on me..." The young priest winks at them and shakes his head. "As for Master Mica... he simply raves about some of your dishes... the ones that don't have veggies that is..."

That's a good number of them, though I do a mean job on glazed carrots.
**That and my special Alfredo sauce for penne was my contribution to the supper...tge secret is baking the sauce**
