Ai smiles weakly at him and snuggles close, but not too close. She had tried to give her heart to Kero before, only to have it all blow up in her face. She had given it to Bez only to have him run away. Now she'd live an armored life, giving it to no one, but the very thought of living an impossibly long life with no one to truly love her was almost as devastating as what had happened before.

She sighs and shakes her head. "I... I don't know what you are talking about, Kero. Armored?" she hedges worriedly. She goes to pull away, but he stops her from getting too far.

You don't have to deny love, Sira. Just because a few problems came up doesn't mean I don't still love you. I know I have held your heart in my hands. I gave it back. If you want to give it again, I will gladly accept it.

**It was always my intention to have it happen once...chiefly to keep Kero and Tam together...help cement the relationship...etc. There are other reasons as well. Mainly relating to Kero's character in general**

She starts to answer but her stomach growls so loudly it takes them both by surprise. It is a growl befitting a griffin and sounds hilarious coming out of a tiny white lion.

She still a little dazed by the force of that sound. She hasn't had it do that in a long time. Climbing into her seat, she sits there blushing furiously. "I am a tiny bit hungry..." she says in a soft embarrassed voice.
