Sharmistra smiles fondly at the cub and moves to her office where she digs out several math primers. "Let's go over these shall we. I wish to guage your abilities for myself. Brother Grayson tends to be a bit blindsided when it comes to various races, he forgets that not all of us see math in the same light. The centaurs are great in figuring the size of a herd to available food sources and such, but don't ask them to build anything. Geometry completely eludes them..."

"Very well... " says Sharmistra putting all but two of the primers away. "I need to talk to Master Talesian before we start, to see what sort of math you might be needing to do in your future. But with these and you helping me around here, figuring out dosages and such... we'll do fine for now. Now is there anything you wish to ask me before you leave?"

Sharmistra shoots him a troubled look. "You want me to lie to Master Talesian?"

Sharmistra thinks about this for a bit then smiles mischievously. "Well... I did hear it from you... so I wouldn't be lying..." Then she gives the cub another hard look. "This won't make him angry now will it?"

"Well, I don't want you to get into trouble either..." says the priest thoughfully, then she shrugs. "But if you think he'll be fine with it, I'll do it. Now is there anything else you need to do around here today?"

His knock is answered by Brother Grayson, who takes one look at him and sighs heftily. "Master Kerobian is here to see you, Dawnlord."

He opens the door to let the cub in then slips outside, warning the cat in a low hiss to be on his best behavior.

Mica is over behind his desk, examining a silver chalice that has been donated to the temple.

"Kerobian... come here, please. Tell me, what quality are these stones. The piece is beautifully made but I would be fearful to use anything too elegant in the temple services. It might attract unwelcomed attention. Not that the Morning Lord does not deserve such accouterments, but we have few if any trained guards here to watch over such things."

The chalice is a simply wrought water cup, but the lines of it are so flowing and smooth it is obviously made by one who understand metal crafting as an art form rather than a mere tool. About it's rim is a riing of brilliant blue sapphires, half of which seem to sparkle with an inner star.
