Ai gives him a troubled look. "Yer not the voidmage yet, kiddo... and still highly vunerable, though yer less so these days than you were as a cub. What you were and what you will be are not what you are at the present time... just so you remember that. Think of this as a hiatus... a break in the pattern... and as such you have a vunerability you wouldn't have otherwise."

She walks over and nuzzles him fondly. "And I appreciate the effort you are putting into it, but that is a vow between us and no one else... got it? Only a select few in Silver Falls know what you are and they are all sworn to secrecy... for a very good reason. If you go about saying that... the least that will happen is that people will laugh at you, not understanding and believing you have your head stuck in the clouds pretending... the worse... let's just I don't want to think of the worse... your imagination is far better than mine... I'm pretty sure you can figure it out."

She nods sadly. "Needless to say, you have managed to cultivate a rather notorious reputation over time, which has only managed to grow beyond all understanding as the years go by. People fear you... or, in truth, they fear what you are to become.... I'm sorry, dulcha, but only a few knew you well enough to truly love you and call you friend. Which, I'm afraid to say... was something you purposefully sought. There was a time when you thought that feeling anything was something you could ill afford. And because of it, your emotions were so bottled up that when you did get angry, you were... well, out of control. I pray this is no longer so. As I pray I will always be your friend."

Ai sighs heavily. "I was your friend before you chose me to do this, Kerobian... at least I felt I was a friend... and I truly do love you... for simply the fact that you are you... I am proud you chose me as well, for that means you trusted me... with your very life in many ways. It is not a trust to be taken lightly... but for all that I am presently your sira... and very happy to be so... I would far rather be your friend when this is over... I know that right now this may not mean all that much to you... but it means a great deal to me."

She nuzzles him back and goes to check on Andra, who is still sound asleep. Returning to the kitchen, she climbs onto her bench, chuckling to herself. "Young men are very much like young lions... give them a bed and no responsibilities and they sleep thier lives away... but then he probably needs this right now... how's dinner going, dulcha?"

She simply sits there and watches him finish dinner, looking pensive and sad, though she does her best to hide the fact that something is bothering her.

Ai blinks and shakes herself. "Wrong? Nothing's wrong, Kero. Why do you ask?" she replies softly.

Ai hangs her head and sighs. "I looked all over the village and I couldn't find him, Kero... no where..." she whispers softly in a troubled voice. "Couldn't find him... can't feel him.. he's gone... well and honestly gone..."
