Okay so did the mini challenge... am just wondering since we are doing this and advertising... these places generally are not suppose to be advertised in... is this something that we should be doing or could this get us in trouble? I know that most of the time advertisments in the art areas are requested to be kept to promotions or your own sig.... Also what happens if we don't get any Critiques just asspats? neutral Linkyhttp://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/picture-post/a-a-guild-challenge-avi-portrait/t.77681917/

The critique forum is pretty much where I usually hang around. a** pats only come from noobs. Certain more experienced artists will give really helpful critique [though a few will rip yours apart if they don't like something about you though that usually only happens to art thieves and people who eyeball]. Just remember not to lash back [which will cause your thread to become a train wreck] at any of them and not act arrogant. The people usually have good intentions.

Well, so far I have two fellow guildie replies...And I already feel like crap... I might back down from this one. ^^
I can't help but feel that the more I think I've improved, the more people tear my heart to shreds...

Just remember not to lash back [which will cause your thread to become a train wreck] at any of them and not act arrogant. The people usually have good intentions. Yea, I thought I noticed you in several threads. Well, and my own. I did reply, and I hope you continue to enjoy your picture post forum. ^^ Arrogance isn't a problem for me in threads like these...I like details in my critiques, and a balance of good and bad. As an aspiring English teacher, I've been taught that it's good to try and point out what they did right when giving them all that they did wrong. It gives them a foundation to stand on, and keeps them encouraged to try harder. Ok, my typing skills are quickly digressing...I need to find something happy to watch, or read, so that I can sleep tonight. xD

lol That would be me XDD Except lately, I haven't had enough time to do anything but a few quick comments OTL There's a lot of critics that will only point out the bad because they assume that you already know your own good points. lol Well, I can't think of anything non-depressing off the top of my head besides initial D and gintama lol Because all of the novels I've been reading are really depressing.

Lol! I understand. Time is hard to find, and so is the inspiration for formulating profound words. ^^ I wish I was as confident as they assumed. I'm not sure how I could ever be able to tell what my good points are. Lol! None of my novels-in-progress are exactly happy either...I think I'll watch some old cartoons. xD

Yea, when looking at some of the other threads, I noticed how hostile the environment becomes when you have too much confidence, lol! ^^

SweetNiar dark pillow II Little China DoLL II dark pillow Thank you very much. :3 Hehe, that bunny is cute. xD I used a ruler on the mic. xD For some reason it's very difficult to make a long and straight line... >.>; Straight lines are very hard to do without a ruler! x___x;;
I can never get them straight without assistance. *Cheats with photoshop* ninja Hahah, same here... How do you use rulers in photoshop??? >o> And if it's in photoshop, even if there is a straight guide line I won't get it straight because my hands are too shaky. xD By putting the rulers on you can click and drag a straight line guide down, then with the pencil/brush tool click where you want to start, hold down your shift key, then click to the other point. (works just the same with the eraser tool) There is also a one pixel selection that makes a straight line and you can change the thickness by going to (Select->Modify->Expand or Contract) then do an Alt+Delete for fill. Though it goes accross the whole drawing area, but you can delete the parts you dont want. Thanks alot! That's really helpful! >w< hehehehe... Now I only have to remember too... ^^;
