Smiling, Kero watches, holding Luna as Lyssan greets the new students, welcoming them to another year of classes and learning. Some of the mundane students are yawning at her words, and one group of boys is prodding each other, pointing at her tails and snickering behind their hands.

As Agro flies out, Lyssan catches him, smiling, and tells him to go back to his Daddy, because it is time for class to begin. Instead of giving him a chance to refuse, she walks over to Kero and hands the tiny dragon off to him, then disappears in a cloud of smoke, causing Ame to roll his eyes at his mate's theatrics.

Smiling, a man walks up, calling for the first year students to come and follow him. His long, blonde hair, clearly dyed...there is a smidge of brown at the bottom...waves as he leads the way back to a brightly painted classroom, one which seems designed to delight magical and mundane child alike. An overflowing toy chest sits next to a large bookshelf, so large Kero is smiling to himself. Cubbys line the wall near the door, each one unmarked. Near the Teacher's desk is a long strip of strange material, which reveals itself to be velcro, upon closer inspection. Divided into five colored strips, there are covered words towards the top of each section. A three by three square of small desks sit in front of the teacher's. This last is overflowing with little whirlygigs and bits and bobs...apparently Mr Parguntin, as the nameplate reads, is a bit of an inventor.

Though his desk is disorganized, there is one detail that catches everyone's eye. In a place of honor is a large ball, made of some unknown material. It seems almost like a giant die, because there are words emblazoned upon each of its faces. The topmost one reads "Circle Time." Kero himself is confused by this, but senses something else off. Somewhere in the building is a note of sadness...of loneliness. Promising himself he will volunteer to find it, should the opportunity arise.

Shi returned to the desk shi was at and sighed as shi silently started to cry. Shi was alone, no parents, no one in the room. Shi didn't pick hir crayon back up. Shi just sat there silently crying, tears rolled down hir cheeks.

See's everyone beginning to sit in the middle of the room and crawls out with a large dinosaur covering him up as he sits next to Luna and stays under it not wanting others to see him, nor did he want to be seen by the teacher for he looked kinda scary to him.

Suddenly, she finds herself enfolded in a pair of arms, comforting ones, skinny as they are. Looking back, she sees a face, one lined and pale, but with kindness in his lavender eyes, one that bespeaks a gentle soul.

"Child, come now, why are you crying? Here, sit with me and tell me your troubles."

"Well, then, Kiddo, why don't you come with me. It just so happens I know Headmaster Ame quite well, and I'll be perfectly happy to introduce you. But you know, I might need to know your name first. I'm Kero, or Kerobian, if you want to be fancy."

Hugging her close, he gently wipes her tears on his magical robe, one that, to Asu's amazement, glitters with the starry sky of the night.

And so Kero simply wraps her in the folds of his cloak, letting the starry sky envelop her and soothe her and he hugs her close, letting her feel the vast love he keeps close to his heart for all creatures.

"It's okay, Little One, Asuna. I am here. Go ahead and cry...cry until you can cry no more. Let those painful thoughts flow away on your tears."

Looking down, Kero sees the collar, becoming instantly disgusted.

"Child, why do you wear such a thing? There is no need for you to be collared. You are a sentient, sapient being. Why are you collared like someone's pet?"
