"What the hell happened? I was attacked by a rabid zombie RACCOON. Well anyway, the good news is, the oil is spread out and I killed a possible threat. The bad news, I have zombie blood all over me, and the corpse of that raccoon will probably draw attention."

"Can I go wash my hands... or like.. Take a shower or something? I have raccoon zombie blood on me and I don't wan't to infect or get infected."

Well, I think I took one step forward and two steps back with this one... I tried to prove my usefulness, and ended up getting in the way but getting something done.

Thomas made a mental sigh.

"Yeah that thing was a ******** monster. I think I would have had an easier time fighting a human zombie..."

As Thomas freaked out in front of her, and she was paying complete attention to him, Nina heard a foreign language in the background of Thomas's speech. It sounded angry and French. Nina tried to drown it out because Thomas's words seemed more important at the moment than anything else. It involved all of their safety.

"Yeah! You go freakin' wash your hand! Go take a shower if you want I don't care you just better get your hands clean!" Nina said wide-eyed and serious. She was breathing heavily. After a while she calmed herself down, tucking strands of her hair behind her ear, and just took one last calming breath. "Thank you for a job well done." she finally said with nod of thanks. "Now go." She said clamly pointing to the window leading to her room. Nina wanted to laugh at his last comment but stopped herself. It would be rude to him. she thought. But that's why Sargent Phillips sneered at him... She thought humorously.
"Someone... Get rid of the corpse in garbage can or something." Nina said with a wave of her hands. Fellow infected don't attrac fellow infected... At least of what I know She thought, thinking it not a big deal. Nina didn't know about the bodily smells the infected gae off. There was nothing like that in her book or research.
She looked down the back of the house and noticed Garath getting to work with the barbed wire. Sticks with the plan... Thank you so much. she thanked Garath in her mind. I'll have to remember to thank him when he gets back.

After she was through with him Nina turned her attention in the direction she heard the French coming from. Suprisingly she found it was Reshion. He's Japanese... and Black. Yet he is speaking French. What. The. ********> she thought confused. She only spokeand understood English and Spanish. "What is it Reshion?" She finally asked him. She noticed him holding barbed wire and his hand was cut. Nina could do the math. "Why didn't you just get the gloves I brought out here?" Nina asked frowning. She was still mad at him. It made her more angry to know that he thought she was angry at him for breaking the table. How ignorant... she thoight icily. She got up from her spot on the platform and ran up all the way to her room. "Stay here..." She said boredly over her shoulder. He's an attention seeker... Wouldn't suprise me if he did it on purpose. How emo. She thought with a mental sneer. She didn't hate emos like Kalila did, but she did dislike some of their habits. She got into her room and went straight out the door, through the house, to the kitchen, and opened the cabinet with the medical supplies inside. She took out medical tape and went all the way back to the fire escape. She stood in front of Reshion and snatched his hand. "You're lucky this isn't enough blood to attract anything infected." She mumbled while wrapping his hand with the medical tape. She brought the edge of it up to her mouth when she was done and cut it with a bite. She finished with one last wrap. She hung the gloves in front of his face, holding them by the tips of her thumb and index finger. "If you want to continue... You have to use these." She said matter-of-factly.

Thomas walked through the house trying to find the bathroom, making sure he didn't touch anything.

He finally found it, he walked in and locked the door behind him, and took off his cloths. they were stained with blood, the parts that were clean he put on his hands to turn on the shower.

He stayed in for about 10 minutes, making sure he got all the blood off.

This day has been so strange. So many new people. I wonder what's going to happen tommorow...

After he was done with the shower he dried himself off and put on some new cloths. He decided to use his more casual clothiong. A Black T-shirt with white horizantal stripes, and some black jeans.

He walked out of the bathroom and headed towards. Ninas room and the others. He found Nina talking to reshion, he waited for her to finish her discussion.

"Alright, I'll get rid of the demonic racoon." He said dully. Terry climbed down the ladder and hopped onto the asphalt beneath him. Once he found the garbage can that was described to him by Thomas, he grabbed it, and took it about a mile away in his chevy with the gabage can in the bed of the truck, from the oil spilt house. Perfect. He thought as he spyed a horde of zombies that feasted on the bloodied corpses of a group of tourists, by the look of the clothes at least. He pulled the safety pin off the grenade with his bare teeth, stuffed it into the can along with the infected racoon and kicked it down the paved road. Eh, go to hell... he thought as they disintigrated in the flames of the explosion. I guess I better go back and help out....

"Thanks." Reshion said, taking the gloves. "Nina, I am sorry for what happened. The whole table and me running off with Garath thing. I am sorry, and I don't want you to think that I am an Emo...It's just, what happened earlier with my mother...I...I killed her..." He said, trailing off, thinking that he was saying too much. "Essayez et faites des excuses à elle et regardez ce qui se produit ! ? Vous avez coupé votre fichue main et toute cette merde. Jésus, vous êtes un scatterbrain foutu ! Assurez-vous qu'elle sait que vous êtes désolé, et alors vous devriez être dans l'espace libre ! Meh. Vous êtes Ren vraiment stupide..." He said, trailing off. "Oh. My mother tought me French. One of the only things she's done for me. Except become a zombie." He said, again trailing off.

Mizuki had stared at the door frowning.
Without meaning to do it, his nsotrils were twitching. He could, however, pick up nothing through the heavy air tight fire escape door.
He frowned and shifted the shotgun in his hands.
Thinking back to what Kalila had notioned about stopping for food when they came to the next stop he found himself becoming increasingly worried.
He couldn't play cat and mouse forever. Sooner or later he was pound to ******** up or do something that the ever vigilant Dr.David would pick up on.
An idea came into his mind. He could always kill David off.
To his horror, the idea was not met by any repulsion as such - more a sort of immediate sense of urgency.
The sooner the better.
It would be so easy to do in such conditions too. If he could create a jump that would be impossible and insist that David go first only to have him fall to his death only to feel 'really bad' and call off the mission to go back to 'grieve'.
No.
That would be too suspicious. What he needed was darkness and a few Crazies.
Both of them would be simple enough. Night was fast approaching at their heels and the city was rife with Crazies. All he'd need to do woud be to shoot David then. Blame it on the confusion of the dark.
Hell, if it really was that dark - three other people had guns - who to say that it couldn't have been them?
A manical little grin played across his lips.
Hell a little frantic voice piped up in the back of his mind, Lead him off when you feel the change coming. Tear him open!

Mizuki was expelled roughly from these thoughts as there was a sharp thudding clang behind him that sent tremors up his legs. He whipped round immediately with his gun hefted for a head shot only to see Kalila and Nicholas grinning nervously at him.
Mizuki actually burst out laughing at them, all sinister thoughts of a few moments before completely and utterly forgotten.
"Jesus guys!" He said lowering his gun. "I thought all hell had fallen down about my ears." He shook his head, having trouble silencing his chuckles.
Looking over at the gap between here and the ladder where Alex and his Dad had just turned up he frowned.
It didn't seem like much of a jump to him, a baby one in all fairness to get them started. Maybe it was just the awkwardnedd of it.
He frowned slightly and looked at the two seriously.
"On a serious note for a second, if you think it's going to be too dificult, or you have doubts about making it - let me know. There is always a way around it. You just gotta keep your eyes open for oppurtunities."
He smiled at the two in an affectionate manner before turning his attention back on the door.

He watched heard Alex land and looked absently over his shoulder just in time to see David's impressive little roll in the confined space.
He grinned. Shock absorbing roll. One that he used on greater falls. The same he had instructed Kalila and Nicholas to do. He gazed at them both quickly to check if they had been paying attention.
They were both facing the door, aiming weapons at it so wether they had noticed and took mental not or not reamined a mystery to Mizuki.
He rolled his shoulders and got ready to make a quip about David's roll when the man himself drew level.
What now?
Mizuki opened his mouth slightly to respond but was cut off as something else was muttered to him - only to him.
His mouth snapped shut in an instant, a frown covering his features.
Inside his skull thoughts of doing away with David came rushing back with renewed conviction.
No! Mizuki thought, suddenly horrified by what he was speculating. It neededn't come to that yet. I can keep him stringing along. Only when I am positive that he knows and would tell the others will I leap to that cause of action.
He rolled his shoulders, altering his frown slightly to make it one of befuddlement.
Anyway, who is to say that what he is talking about and what I think he is talking about are the same thing? That or he could be trying to worm a confession out of me. Clever.
He cleared his throat in what he hoped would be an awkward and confused manner.
"I'm not sure I know what you are talking about, David." He muttered back equally as quiet.

Without allowing David the time to reply he cleared his throat loudly to get eveyone's attention.
"There doesn't seem to be an immediate way up on to this roof." He said loudly, and true enough the wall they were facing was blank and flat. A sheer fall impossible to climb without grappling hooks or the powers of a radioactive spider.
"Therefore we are going to have to enter this building. It could go one of two ways. We could exit via the windows and work our way across the fire escape balcony and ladder system - if there is one. Or we cold find the steps or elevator up to the roof exit once we are inside. Problem there in lies the fact that there could be Crazies inside. Another problem is that the electricity is probably on the fritz if it isn't completely dead and we have no means of lighting the way. We need to stay on guard."
The vicious voice revisted him.
You could kill him in here! No one would know. Eve if there are no Crazies, slit his throat. No one will see. You'll be safeee.
Mizuki shunned the voice with a grunt and shook his head.
"Ready?" He warned the rest.
He was half tempted to boot the door open hardcore style like out of the movies, but that might not be neccessary.
Shifting the gun to one hand, finger still on the trigger he reache dout and pushed down the heavy metal bar. There was a click and the door slowly swung inwards, dissappearing into the pitch black beyond.

Mizuki answered david, equally as quite.
Hmm... This kid is a really good liar. Or maybe he really isn't infected. I'll just have to wait and see.
"Sure you don't." He said to himself, apperently mizuki didn't hear him. Then mizuki opened the door to the building.
"Ahh man, i was hoping one of us would have to kick it down..." He said jokingly
"Dad... be seriouse." Alex said, david not listening.
David was now rummaging through his bag. "Here they are." he said, putting his uzies in the side of his pants, and he pulled two flashlights out of his bag.
"When did you pack those?"
"I packed them when you weren't paying attention. Clearly" He said, handing one to mizuki and one to kalila. "You all need these more then we do. My son and I can see really well in the dark," Alex knodded his head in agreement " and we wouldn't want anyone to get lost from the rest of the group. Actually, kalila, you might wanna let nicholas have that... I have some ducktape if he wants to put it on his gun." He said pulling out a roll of ducktape.
"Plus with flashlights their is less of a chance of confusind eachother for infected." He said without knowing anything mizuki was thinking.
You all stay in front, my son and I will cover the rear." He said, pulling the uzies out of his pockets and turning on a laser sight.
"My dad has had many modifacations done to his uzies." Alex said, not sure if anyone was listening. "Infact I think Nicholas's rifle has one to, but im sure you'd rather use the flashlight." Alex continued, pulling out his smith and wesson. "So what are we waiting for?" David said, eager to try and win the bet. When all of a sudden an infected rushed out of the darkness. David, startled, fell backwards. The zombie clawed at him, and scratched him on the nose. David who was now on the ground, kicked the zombie in the stomach, causing him to fly backward. Then david got up and shot rapid-fire into the darkness, making sure at least some of his shots hit the zombie. You could hear the sound of the zombies skull shattering, and brains flying out. David sighed and said "15 to 15." glancing back at alex.

When the siblings had landed Mizuki was seriously caught off guard and had his shotgun pointed at them in no time at all. There... He did it again... Wandering into his thoughts like that and being completely unaware of what's going on... Kalila thought as she gave him a nervous grin. Sh*t we could have died if he was freaked out enough to pull the trigger! Nicholas thought, on the other hand, when he gave Mizuki his nervous grin. They both smiled as Mizuki explained himself. He also comforted them with another way around if jumps got too tough. Which was nice of him, and they both appreciated, though it hurt Nicholas's pride a little.
When the other two made it down both siblings moved out of the way. Indeed they both did register the roll with a mental sigh. It was the same kind of feeling as when you miss one question on a test you know you knew.

Nicholas watched as Mizuki and David had an exchange. He couldn't hear them, but afterwards Mizuki seemed to be a little upset. They're probably discussing plans... he thought to himself, his eyes still darting from the older man to the younger one. Maybe Mizuki disagrees... Wouldn't be the first time... he thought with a mental laugh. The situation of when they had to knock Mizuki out will always have been funny the first few seconds before it became serious.
Kalila had her complete attention on the door though. If he wants us to go in... I really have a bad feeling about this. She thought cautiously. Usually she was right about these things. It was some type of intuition. The habit was instilled into her brother by Kalila, but only when he was alert. She had noticed the conversation between David and Mizuki and she realized she couldn't her it. But, Ssince she had a subconcious security with David and a concious one with Mizuki, it really didn't bother her.

Mizuki announced his plans and Kalila was taken aback. Nicholas on the other hand was slightly delighted. He tried to push the feeling away, but he couldn't help it. He ws only 13. Kalila darted her eyes to each member of their group to see if anyone would disagree with Mizuki's idea. The door was already open... and mocking her. To her horror instead David and Alex agreed and were prepared for the situation with items. Even if she could get Nicholas to agree with her, but she doubted it from his facial expression, majority would still win.
Alex and David gave them flashlights and ducktape. They continues speaking. Nicholas looked at Kalila with an unspoken question and Kalila answered by unrolling the ducktape. Nicholas held out his rifle as Kalila taped the flshlight on to it. As she finished and turned the flashlight on for him. An infected clawed it's way out of the darkness. Nicholas let out a curse while Kalila, thought caught off guard, was in stance and ready to attack in less than a second. But it seemed Alex's father had already taken care of it with a hardy word too.

"The smell with attract them to the door." Kalila blurted out. "The smell the onion bomb gave off down there," She said pointing down behind her in a general direction. "and the smell we are giving off..." She said, bending lower into her stance. She didn't want to get caught off guard again. "All I have to say is good luck. "I have a bad feeling about this... But this is the only way.... Go." She said taking her hand off the hilt of the katan for a little bit to present the area beyond the door with a swish of her hand.
In Kalila and Nicholas's mind this situation reminded them too much of the video game Doom, but they were lucky enough to have duck tape.

Though the concious Mizuki was outwardly elated at having the added bonus of torches, the inner - darker - side of his thoughts was muttering its curses at David and promising swift and painful retribution swift enough.
Mizuki grinned and nodded his head deeply in thanks to David for being so helpful and promptly slid the loop cord at th base of the flash light on top his wrist. He did not what the flashlight taped on tape of the shotgun to get in the way of his target sighting. Perhaps when they finally got the arms store he might procure himself a powerful enough pistol. That way firing wouldn't take up too hands like it did with his shot gun.
Oh sure, you could fire a shot gun one handed, but the recoil was ******** painful without a shoulder absorb it and block the bucking of the butt.
He flicked the flash light on and shone it into the darkness.

The moment the beam hit the thick wall of darkness it played across a body. Mizuki instantly shouldered the shot gun but before he could take his shot, Dr. David darted in the way.
Cursing out loud, Mizuki pulled his gun out of the way, letting his finger off the trigger just in time to avoid a fired shot.
He then noted what David was doing and despite the nasty little voice in his head's displeasure, he had to mentally applaud the man.
It was a wise move.
Still, Mizuki felt like he'd just been ducted a couple of Man-Points for being beaten to the punch by an old man.
He did not vocalise these opinions however.
Chest heaving as heavy amounts of adrenaline surged into his blood stream, he took in a deep breath through his nostrils.
That's when he picked it up.
The scent of Death.
His pupils shrunk to meer pin pricks.
Not wishing David to hear especially, lest the Doctor formed more suspicions, Mizuki leant in to Kalila and Nicholas.
"There's corpses in there. God knows what state they'll be having been locked up with that thing. Just be braced yeah?"
The further the others came in, the stronger the scent would be. Rotted meat and old, coagulated blood.
He nodded firmly and raised his head, taking a few experimental steps into the darkness.
"Kalila is right. . . They'll be drawn by the new smells. I'll check the view from the window. If there is no visible exit routes, then we head to the roof and try from there. Be on guard."

Taking up the flashlight in one hand and holding the shotgun, finger on the trigger, he started across the room towards the windows which had been covered with what looked to be, in the torch light, patterned venitian blinds.
Glass crunched ominously beneath his feet on the floor boards.
As he came closer to the window he realised that it wasn't patterns, but dark splattered stains that could only be one thing.
Looking around the room he spotted them almost straight away, huddled in the corner that they'd obviosuly run to hide in.
Gore was smeared all over the walls. There was the occassional buzz of a fly and though Mizuki dared not shine his torch directly on to the mess, he could see the distinct shape of rib bones poking out of the mess that lay in a heap only a few foot away.
Summarising it with a quick sweep of his eyes he could tell that there were two bodies. That of an adult, and a much smaller - more fragile body.
He frowned.
His inital feelings were revulsion - but not far behind came a simple pang of hunger, followed shortly by a sharper stab of blood lust.
He rubbed his rose against his shoulder in a subconcious attempt to dispell these strong scents that were threatening to work him over the edge.

The next series of events happened in such quick succession of each other, Mizuki wondered how on earth he'd been as quick to act as he was.
He managed to tear his eyes free of the mess in the corner and took a step forwards. The floorboard beneath his weight creaked painfully loud in the tense silence. As if waiting for such a cue the door only a few foot to his right swung open, slamming off the wall with a loud, gut wrenching crack that drowned out the half grunt, half screech of the figure charging out from the room beyond.
Mizuki let out a startled yelp and threw himself backwards, slidding on the profuse amounts of sticky blood on floor and landing on his arse.
In that moment the dark figure had jetted out of the shadows of the other room. Blocked from sight by the others who were still lagging back by the fire door Mizuki realised, in split second horror, they wouldn't get a clear shot until it was upon him.
Forcing his horror down, he raised the gun and taking very quick aim, he squeezed off the trigger. Riding the recoil back, he dug his heels into the floor and pushed himself backwards across the floor to avoid the spray.
The heavy Shotgun shell had hit the Crazie in the top right temple. It was not a pin point accurate shot, but the effect was the same down to the sheer density of the shotgun shells.
It tore a ferocious chunk out of the Crazie's head.
The Crazie, reeled and slammed into the side of the door, falling in a tangle of limbs on the floor.
Chest heaving, Mizuki raised his torch to check if it was dead. He immediately regretted it.
The form on the floor had ironically landed so it was facing him over it's spindly legs.
A little girl, who's black ringlets were now clumped with blood any flecks of meat. The one eye left intact stared blankly at him with a sort of deep remorse.
Her hands were tiny. She looked so pathetic just lying there. Like a broken doll. Mizuki bit his tongue to stop himself making any noise and got to his feet without a word. Reaching up with a hand that remarkably was steady, he shut the door, using his foot to shove the limp lifeless corpse into the next room out of sight.

He was in mild shock. He didn't say a word to anyone. Normally he revelled in the chance to blast a few of the Crazy ********. But there was something just so wrong about seeing a child in that state. He couldn;t help but feel as though it was him that had killed her, despite the fact she was long gone by the time he'd put her out of her misery.
He reached up, more alert this time and pulled on the ring at the bottom of the blinds. It immediatel shot up out of the way and the room was illuminated with a kind of dim light from the night sky outside.
He looked outside and saw that there was a balcony the floor above.
Pressing his forehead against the window he could see the plastic casing of some form of electrics on the left side of the window. If they could climb out on to that and onto the balcony they could take the steps across and be within easy reach of the balconies of the next building and after that it was pretty much a few steps to the DIY store as memory served.

Clearing his throat he looked over his shoulder to the others. His eyes had an odd sheen to them. "I think I see a way out, Kalila, Nick, I need you to tell me if you can manage this one."

((Jupiter... How would your character respond to any of those things? They were Nina's thought...))

"Yeah you better be sorry." Nina mumbled under her breath. "Ok... 1) Just so you know... No one here understands French." Nina said massaging her temples. "2) Everyone here's been through a lot. I haven't seen my dad in weeks. He's off in Seattle somewhere. It's not as bad as you, but I'm sure others here have went through worse. Just calm down. Think about. Pray to God for thanks since you are alive. Your mother was a zombie... It was your only option. You can't let that kind of this cloud your judgement ever again." She said with a pat to his back. She felt like she was helping a poor lost child. "Oh... 3)... You won't have to do anything to the fire escape. Christian's plan from earlier gave me an idea." she said with a grin. "Now go work on that barbed wire. Or help me with my plan." She said waving him off and walking up the stairs. She felt unsafe more than eer out here since Terry wasn't here anymore. She felt really safe when he was here, because he reminded Nina of her father and he was a marine. The Marine are the best of the best after all... She thought.

She was back in her room when she saw Thomas standing there. He looked completely different. He was wearing casual clothes. She looked at his hands and face to make sure he wasn't paler than normal. She examined his eyes to make sure there were no tale-tell signs of infection. The blood wasgona and his eyes were normal. "Can I help you Thomas?" She asked satisfied with the cleaning. She walked to her desk and picked up the wire looking towards her bathroom. The door was open and no steam was filtering out. Well... I guess he didn't use my bathroom. The guest one I suppose... she thought with some relief. She didn't want any possibility of infection in her bathroom. "I was going to do a little something to the fire escape with this..." She said with a mischievious grin, holding up the eletrical wire. It wasn't normal electrical wire. It was a plug with a long wire attached. The end of it was cut off revealing a frayed arrangment of copper wire.

[[Sorry for missing out, my mom is being wierd.]]

Crimson ran up, but then in a moment of extreme klutziness, tripped and hit her head on the wall, knocking her out for a good chunk of time. She woke up, groaning, and gasped, not knowing what had happened it the time she was out.

Geez, that was reaally stupid. I wonder whether Nina will yell at me...

She ran around the house, looking for Christian.

Where the hell is he?

Then she saw Nina run by, and decided to follow her back.

Kalila and Nicholas nodded their heads in compliance to brace themselves in a form of obedience. They hadn't conciously realized it, but they were very loyal to Mizuki. As Mizuki continued to speak Kalila and Nicholas again was on guard. Kalila felt a slight relief as Mizuki agreed with her. The less they were inside this building, the better. Nicholas held up his gun stiffly against his shoulder and Kalila was in stance. She never kept her sword drawn because it would take away the power in it given to it when pulled straight out of the sheath. Tenpu-Kosai-Ryu Kai, her fighting style, it's basic stance envolves a lot of straight-from-the-sheath attacks.

Kalila and Nicholas stuck close together and entered the building, but stayed far behind Mizuki. First of all, Nicholas saw the way he almost pulled the trigger on David because of his jump in front of Mizuki. Second, Nicholas was much to scared to not have his older sister near him. The flashlight on his gun illuminated everything, and it seemed to them, especially things they didn't want to see. Blood stained window panes were easily seen. There was a corpse ripped open at the stomach and hollowed out through that. The only thing left was a concaved shell of something that was once human. Kalila couldn't even tell the once human's gender anymore. She silently gagged and gripped her brother's shoulder as she looked away from the god-forsaken mess, Trying hard not to start sobbing. Nicholas angled the gun away towards the opposite direction attempting to erase the image from his mind completely.
As they took a few moments to take filter breathes through the necks of their clothing raised over their noses they heard a floorboard creak up ahead. Nicholas gripped the rifle tighter, as Kalila went back into stance. They couldn't see anything, but they heard it. They heard a sqeak of shoes through liquid and a thud of something or someone falling. They heard shotgun shots, cracking of bone, another thud, and finally breathing. Zombies don't really breathe too much, I'm going to assume Mizuki lived through that... Kalila thought and Nicholas thought something along the same line. Kalila wanted to, more than anything, ask if Mizuki was ok, but knew if she made anymore noise that it might attract more things. So instead Kalila and Nicholas stepped forward a little bit, going in a very slow pace to make sure they themselves didn't hit any squeaky floorboards.

Kalila jolted and Nicholas gripped his older sister's arm when the room was suddenly alight. Under a millisecond they established what happened and calmed down. Kalila judged from what they saw earlier under the light of the flashlight looking around would not be a good idea. She stuck to looking straight ahead and saw Mizuki with his forehead against the glass, Nicholas, in a sense, luckd out. He had been looking behind himself when the room went brightened. At first he was calmed as he figured out what happened looking to the window, but as he looked back behind him he held his gun with perfectly. There was an infected man hunched over a figure of... Nicholas couldn't tell anymore. All he knew is the corpse the infected was eating was once a fat person. It was so busy with gorging itself it didn't hear the fire fight from earlier, the siblings walk right past it, or the windows open. As well it shouldn't have. The infected had a feast in front of him, that's how obese the figure he chowed on was. The light difference was so little to infected vision that it didn't matter to it.
"What's wrong?" Kalila asked looking back at her brother when he had paused in place and gripped her arm so tightly the blood circulation was cut off. But that was it. She saw it, she spoke too loud for being so close, and it looked up with red tinged eyes.
It let out a gurgled roar and right when it did Nicholas let a burst of bullets in its face. To follow up on it, sense it continued to twitched towards them despit the facial damage, Kalila with one swift motion ran past her brother, unsheathed the katana, and slices the head of it clean off. She continued to run forward so the blood didn't get on her and Nicholas ran backwards a few feet. But unlike a living person, whose blood would have sprayed out, the infecteds blood oozed out and the body fell limply forward into the chuck of fatty flesh it had been eating a few moments ago. Kalila looked at the blade of the katana and was suprised to see no blood on it. Apparently the blood had been so thickened inside the body it didn't not flow as freely as normal. As she wiped it off on a corner of wall anyway, to get rid of the rotting flesh, Nicholas shot rounds next to Kalila's feet. Kalila jumped back and glared at her brother.
"No... No, look down." Nicholas said in a "no you oh me" manner.
Kalila looked down and spasmed once. Next to her there was a splash of liquid where the head had landed and a foot from there there was the head it's self, shot until it couldn't be recognized anymore. "It was about to bite you." he said with a crack in his voice of someone on the verge of crying. "Well... I learned that you have to absolutely destry the brain. Chopping it's head off isn't good enough." He said bitterly, reloading his weapon.
"Thank you..." Kalila said after she took a gulp of air. She jogged to her brother, sheathed the katana, and pecked his cheek. "Don't cry... It's ok... Nothing happened." she cooed.
"Yeah, Yeah I know..." He said swallowing. He grabbed his older sister's hand tightly and walked over to Mizuki, he was only a few feet ahead.

They finally made it to Mizuki and to Kalila's relief he was fine. Mizuki spoke with a weird shine to his eyes. Kalila frowned in confusion but went on with what he was talking about. Kalila looked out the window, pressin her face up against as well to get a better look.
"We can do that." Kalila said with a nod. Actually she was't completely sure if she was tall enough for this, but she just wanted to get out of this building as fast as possible. She was slightly jittery, her body twitching every now and then from the situation they were just in. Not just the attack, but the corpses and gore as well.
"I learned something new." Nicholas repeated, not sure if Mizuki had witnessed what just happened. "You have to destroy the brain completely, chopping the head clean off isn't an option." He said calmly this time. He almost grinned, in hysteria, but managed to wipe his sweaty hand across his face instead, calming him down. His palms were sweat from his grip on the gun.

"Yeah, uh I guess I can help. I was just waiting for you to finish your conversation. I didn't want to interupt."

Thomas knew what Nina was up to, and had a bit of an amused look on his face.

Everybody else was up to something, so Thomas was up for anything.

"So, were should I begin...? I could wrap the wires around the ladder or... Whatever."

Thomas fealt a little unusual wearing the casual clothing in front of other people. Thomas only used his casual clothing for cloths to sleep in. He had never worn casual clothing in front of other people, accept for his parents. Which, were probably dead or infected.

"So what were you talking about with Reshion and Terry...? Or was it a private conversation...?"

Earlier, thomas would never ask a question like this. He wouldn't have the nerve to say it to a stranger. But now he fealt kind of close to Nina, close enough to be comfortable around her. He talked with more confidence around her.

Alex and david, stood still closing their eyes adjusting them to the darkness inside. David trying to recover from the infected attacking him. He'd seen infected before, just never that close. Then, with his eyes still closed, felt where the infected had cut his face, and said, "Damnit, he got me..." They both opened their eyes in unisin, when they did, they heard a screech and saw mizuki shoot an infected childs head partially off.
Alex walked in first, david following. They could see every gory detail, trying not to look into the flashlights, which would make them unable to see in the dark for a while. It got slightly brighter in the room, but not a major difference. They saw an infectedon the side of the room who was too busy eating to notice they had even walked in, or shot. Then kalila said something, david was too busy watching and mocking the infected to notice. Alex, was watching mizuki, who now had a slight shine to his eyes, which made him think of a cat.
The infecyted kinda snarled and lunged himself toward kalila and nicholas, nicholas fired a few shots and kalila chopped his head off. David watched as they worked together, and thought Why can't me and alex fight like that.. He heard as nicholas shot the final gunshots that killed the infected and almost started crying because it nearly got kalila. She went over to the window and talked to mizuki, and david looked around and saw, 3 doors in the room, 1 of which already opened and had a zombie come out of it. Then david said, "Well done nicholas, good shooting." Then one of the doors started jerking and there were snarls behind it, David held up his guns and pointed them toward the door and backed toward the window. He tried to look out it, but couldn't get a good veiw since he was not willing to take his eyes off the door.
Alex said, "wouldn't it be easier just to open the window." opening the window, as soon as he opened the window, the smell of the onion bomb filled the room. Uh-oh David thought, as sweat running from his forhead mixed with the blood coming out of the cut on his face.
The infected on the other side of the door broke through the wood, which was soft from the blood it had soaked into it. the infected ripped their way through the door, 4 or 5 infected came through the door, rushing toward everyone, at one point they scattared, apperently knowing that if they each killed one they would eat more.
One of them ran for david, he smiled and said, "Burn in hell."
David pulled the trigger on his uzies. Click, click, click. Uh-oh... David needed to reload. The infected swung his hands at david knocking his gun across the room. David grabbed the infected arms, to keep them from cutting him up anymore. It started biting at him, he fell backward, landing on his back with the infected on top of him. Alex, who was fighting off his own infected shot a bullit into the head of the one on top of david. David kicked the zombie off of him and out the now open window. David, not letting alex get all of the credit, went over to the infected alex was fighting and kicked it, causing it to fall over. Then before it could get back up david stompped on its head, crushing its skull under his boots. They both looked at eachother and both thought 16 to 16, then david ran to the corner of the room that his guns were in, picked up his guns and quickly reloaded them.
