Well, I can't sew. I'll start by saying this. Also, my sewing machine is in transit somehwere i believe it was going to be given to my grandmother but I have no clue where it is at the moment, so I did all this by hand. anywhoo, This is the bow that I made for my friend Laura. It is alittle lopsided, but not unwearable. Very simple, and no lace because as adorable as my friend is she isn't loli. just adorable. here is it worn to give you a better image of the bow's size. Comments?

I like it. Very crisp looking, and the pattern keeps it from being too plain, needs no lace. Not bad at all for hand sewing, or machine sewing for that matter. Okay, I know, it's a bug. But it goes with a lolita outfit I'm ordering, I swear. I wanted a cool, largish charm to place on a gold chain to go with a brown, white and gold skirt and blouse I'm ordering. So I made a polymer clay lampyridae in a bottle! Complete with glowing butt! biggrin Weird, I know... T^T

Every time I see anything posted by you it stuns me from the beauty of it. I love all the pieces you did with the roses in them *_*

Drop me an e-mail whenever. Health's been crashing repeatedly this semester, and my progress on anything with a sewing machine's been almost non-existent (seriously, all the items in the post were finished last year, save one pair of earrings). Thankfully, with an actual diagnosis now, and the new diet, things are fina-friggin-ly settling a little. Classes are over on the 7th (next Fri), Finals over on the 18th. After that, I'm wrapping up all my pending items. In short: JSK just needs topstitching and other little meticulous details for finishing out. Fabric was a pain for that vest, even when winter fabrics rolled in. I finally caved in on matching the exact wale. It's a bit finer (21W instead of 16W), but it's a good color match and I think it makes it a bit softer looking, and definitely makes it lighter weight. So, a bit more appropriate for Texas weather. It's cut and partially sewn. Blue skirt to go with vest is entirely done, as are a couple matching head pieces. Antiquey Sailboat Fabric skirt is cut and outer layer's about half-together. Nixed the chain I'd originally bought for it for this, which is 100% natural brass, instead of just plated. It's also a better size, proportionally.

(PS. Kate. When my current orders are done, I'm shifting focus to whip out a few fairly simple premade skirts with the embroidery machine this summer. Among the designs I've snagged to play with are this/ this, and this/ this. Plus classical floral border prints. ♥ Thoughts on fabric colors? Obviously, I can play with thread colors for the designs themselves. )

Yeah, I know you've been ill. I didn't want to pester, but I realized seeing your post how long it had been since I'd commissioned those things! haha
Also. Dude. I will commission a brown, cream-trimmed vest from you with those apples embroidered on the lapel in green and gold if you're able to do it. And possibly a matching high-waisted cream skirt?
As for the anchor ones, I'd say go with navy for the first try and put on the anchor in silver with bright gold stars and muted gold rope. Navy's classic sailor, after all.
Also, I can't remember. I think I paid you for the antique-boat-sailor fabric, but not the labor? I know the necklace trade counted towards that, but I can't remember what the rest was supposed to be. I half-think it may have been just the vest fabric I paid you for when I finished the JSK's payments, and the trade with the necklace was later. I'll have to dig up the old invoices and figure it out.
Also, I'll be putting up jewelry soon in gothic themes, so if you want to further the trade-relationship, let me know. :p

Oooh. I think that those apples on lapels could work really nice. It would be interesting to play with how to position them for it, but I like the image. I shall play with this in my mind for a bit.
You have not paid anything on the Antique Sailor Set. I went back through my timeline of things, and your last payment was almost 2 months prior to my posting the fabric image and sketches for it. But yeah, the necklace trade counted toward it, and I will be more than happy to peek through gothic themed items to possibly add to that.

For International Lolita day I made two matching music note Jsk sets. The sets were: jsk, shoe bows, bodice bows, and wristcuffs.

I made this dress and band to wear to my friend's wedding. Sadly, this is the best picture of it.

I made this dress and the head bow! I was so happy because I got compliments on them and the fress isn't done yet... the sleeves need ruffles. Sorry for the shirt underneath. I had to add it because of a fashion Malfunction. I wore this for the lolita tea party at a con and I had a blast!
