ive tried a few times to read a book but ive never found one that i could actually read past 5 without dying of boredom.

currently reading Angela Carter's fairy tales. I studied a book by her at college this year..The blood chamber..thought it was great and thought it would be cool to read some more by her. That's never actually happened before...liking a book I studied so much I want to read more. lol

EndlessDark currently reading Angela Carter's fairy tales. I studied a book by her at college this year..The blood chamber..thought it was great and thought it would be cool to read some more by her. That's never actually happened before...liking a book I studied so much I want to read more. lol

o.O;sorry for the typo there, not used to this keyboard...I meant The Bloody Chamber. it's a collection of short stories based on original fairy tales but manipulated. it's very gothic and very well written. similar to Anne Rice. it's fantastic.

Thank you...XDDno problemo, I think you will like it. I could tell you loads about it but I don'y want to spoil it for you. Almost all the short stories in it however, concern feminist issues. Carter was a strong feminist. I wrote an essay on her portrayal of women.

currently reading : Diary- Chuck Palahniuk
i just finished Invisible Monsters (thanks to Panic at the disco's song about it) and LOVED it. he also wrote Fight Club which i will probably read next. heart his style is just so different from everything else i've read. i'm usually a fantasy/occult type of girl so i'm excited to find a new author i like. anyone else read his stuff?
