"I totally understand all of that, and I have done a wealth of research into each murder. I know where they have happened, what was done, who the Kunoichi were. I have been reading up on old murder cases that were similar to this, and they all follow a pattern. The killer may only go after female ninja, but they follow a pattern too. Always within a certain area, away from people, and give or take around the same time frame. I don't plan on using anyone as bait, I plan to stalk and find my target. No matter how long it takes, I Hajime, will bring them to justice if you permit, my Lord." He watched as his 'Kage painted, yet entirely focused on their conversation, he waited for him to respond, but did add on. "If you wish for a Kunoichi I understand, I have another I would like to accept if you deny my request. The Red Devil can be my target, if you deem it so."
"Now now, it's not that I think your incompotent. bloop. Were that the case I'd have to call the others who attempted before you just as incopotent...ah, but loosing the ones you love for a quest rooted in vengeance often blinds one to the facts of a matter. Placing his hand on his chin uncertain about a particular detail he'd drawn he'd think of how to correct it. "As for the Red Devil. I will grant you the permissions to leave the village in its pursuits however, I will warn you. From what I have heard it will not hold back its thirst for blood and destruction. Keep that in mind. You very well may die." The man sighed as he looked to the inkwell once more to refresh the brush head. "But of course I suppose every shinobi lives their life fully aware of that don't they." Finishing the drawing Toso looked pleased and then...with a handsign...it appeared next to the desk.
A large er...Unisquorse appeared and neighed while the creator seemed quite amused. "bloo bloo bloo bloo." This certainly put the man in a good mood. He'd finally look at Hajime still waiting for his introduction before he spoke up. "Like I said, your initial request will be very much possible but incredibly time-consuming, the other will likely be insanely dangerous as you won't have the ability to fall back on the village to receive support bloop. Depending on what you decide I'll grant you access to the hospital room where a recent autopsy is taking place or the permissions to leave the village." Suddenly a bolt of lightening would strike the Kage's tower. It would begin to glow...and suddenly the office and the ground began to tremble. "Ah...bloop hold on one moment." The squid would then consult what could be considered the village-wide announcement system as he spoke into it giving an announcement that seemed incredibly HUGE before sitting back down as though nothing happened.

__ The CORE Compound was a short walk from the Spire but he slowed down when he felt the ground shaking. He then came to a stop when he looked up into the sky and felt Arashigakure soar above the clouds. Kenshin knew that Toso was insane with his various schemes and quirky behaviors, but this was beyond the pale. However, it was absolutely necessary to take this action to protect the village from the militant rogue organization beyond the horizon. Once they were settled in the air, Kenshin continued his walk into the glowing Spire. Seeing this building collapse from total destruction and then seeing it now was certainly jarring. He climbed the stairs and eventually entered Toso's office. The captain sat down on the opposite side of the desk and began filling out his report. Once he was done writing, he filed it away and returned to his seat. He allowed himself to rest for now and waited for further instructions.

Hajime cocked his head, listening to the 'Kage as he was finishing up his illustration. He took notes on everything that was said, this new leader of their's seemed to be perfectly suited for his role. When asked for his name he smirked. "I am Hajime Asuhara, apprentice of Belamos Karna." He gave a confident smile and listened ever closer, to what the 'Kage had to say. "I will be honest, I am not that interested in the Red Devil and I do know the danger. And aye, we do, otherwise we could not call ourselves Shinobi." He leaned back, resting against a wall.
The sudden emergence of that Ink Style, had him jump. He pulled both his blades a quarter of the way out, glaring at the crazy beast, till he realized it was entirely the Arashikage's doing. Again the Teen's head tilted, at the strange blooping, totally confused but he went along with it. After putting his listening cap back on, a hand on his chin, the other still on a hilt. "I understand all of that, Lord Arashikage, and I am willing to go after the Kunoichi Killer, I'll report directly to the Hospital." Haji' watched the Squid'Kage stand, and move to the intercom system. He was utterly confused, but that went straight out the window. His gaze did to, WAIT WHERE WE GOING UP!?
The redhead suddenly stumbled back, catching himself with a wall, "Uuuuh, I don't know about all this!?" He got out, moving to a corner, cause he wasn't quite able to wrap his head around the fact he was going up, along with the rest of the city. This is where he would be when Kenshin arrived.
Like an elevator reaching the top floor the village would stop moving. Out the window clouds and clouds as far as the eye could see stretched beyond the horizon. "Well if that is your desire. Now that the village is suspended leaving the village will prove difficult. So be it bloop. Here you are." with a quick signature on a piece of paper pulled from a drawer by one of his tentacles Hajime was given authorizations to enter an otherwise inaccessible hospital room where an autopsy was taking place. As Kenshin wrote down the report of the transpiring events. Toso nodded. Suddenly a man dressed in a bartenders outfit appeared in puff of smoke. "Bonjour moi patron. I've come to deliver this unto you seeing as said individual you tasked with receiving this package from moi had to tend to something urgent." The squid smiled appreciatively wondering what became of Koutetsu and Aurelia. It was more than likely once the village started rising he left asap. If his worries about his village were as strong as they were he likely didn't want to be entrapped in the village in its current state. "Thank-you Trefles bloop." the blue-skinned man then poofed away before Kenshin could wag the finger in regards to his accursed devices.
Then Toso's head turned to the tired Kenshin. "Officer Kosei. Since this target has eluded your police force so long mayhaps you'd be interested in accompanying young Hajime in his pursuit of the Kunoichi Killer? Albeit I realize you may be quite tired bloop." Toso reviewed the document in hand. So far it seemed things were going well...too well. Nevertheless, he made sure to add. "If you do however aid young Hajime you know should we do come under attack in time you know what's expected of you bloop?" Kenshin was likely one who finished the things that he started when in pursuit of delivering the law and justice but Toso would make it known to him that he'd need to leave things to Hajime if worse came to worse so that he may be one of the individuals to lead their forces...less he was completely fine with letting Belamos rule over both...
He'd then look over to the shaken Hajime. "You wouldn't mind having an accompaniment, would you? After all bloop... Toso glasses shifted to reflect the officer. "My advisor is quite the amazing investigator is he not bloop?" Honestly speaking he wanted to get Kenshin out the office...it was likely within the next few hours the flood of complaints would start rushing in. That was something he'd rather not task Kenshin with...unless of course, he scorned him somehow.

__ Kenshin became much more interested in the happenings of the office when he was offered a murder case. He was now tasked with tracking down the kunoichi killer and assisting an orange haired lad named Hajime. The police captain had not been paying much mind to Hajime and Toso as he finished his reports. He stood from his seated position and retrieved a police report with all the information about the Kunoichi Killer case. He then approached Toso and Hajime and bowed at the waist before Toso. "Sir, you have the finest police force the world has ever seen. Justice is in our hands and no man is beyond our reach." He then turned to face Hajime and nodded. "I assume he's a new police cadet? Really the police are the only ones who should be working on this case. It's the law." Kenshin did not recognize Hajime but perhaps he was new to the force. He turned his focus toward Hajime specifically with his pale eyes. "I'm Kenshin Kosei, advisor to the Arashikage, captain of the police force, and the commander of CORE." He proudly exclaimed his titles and then awaited Toso's response to his question.

While he had never walked the stairs of the building himself, almost felt a familiar bond to the tower. After all there was something comfortably predictable about Kage and towers. Crossing the foyer he smiled to the receptionist who bowed quite formally,"Is the Kage in?""Yes my lord, up the stairs and to the left.""Thank you." Ordering his guard to hold here in the Foyer he quickly mounted the stairs and soon reached the office. Though the jingling of the chain on his hip probably announced his arrival before his voice did. Pushing open the door he took in the contents of the room. His good friend Toso, and the burgeoning prodigy Kenshin. Giving a smile he leaned against the door frame,"Well well, there's a sight I've not seen in far too long."

After a minute or two, he sorta calmed down, realizing that no one else was freaking out.The sight of the sky was absolutely breathtaking if not just a little disconcerting. Haji' stepped towards Toso'Kage's desk and took that Authorization form, quickly pocketing it in his back pocket. He cocked his head to the right, hearing the puff. It definitely seemed lively in the office today. He watched the Barkeep and Toso'Kage speak and found himself taking a seat. Hajime was an observer, waiting to be spoken to, for now. When Toso' looked over to him he locked eye contact, responding with. "Of course not, I will gladly take the extra help. Amazing investigator, eh?" He asked, he was looking over the Police Captain. They both locked eyes, Haji had a smile on his face, happy to meet someone he could learn from. "Good to meet you Kenshin-Sama, I am Hajime Asuhara, Nin of Arashikage and Apprentice of Belamos Karna." Haji was giving him a deep bow, a sign of respect, when the door pushed open.

__ Ada bowed respectfully to Shiro to acknowledge the order to remain in the foyer with the other royal guard. She found herself quite impressed with the apparently recent changes done for the ninja village. Honestly, she had considered investigating a means to raise the Lord's Tenraisho castle into the sky as well. 'Perhaps I might get to speak with one of the engineers who worked on that?' She finished thinking to herself while her partner also remained at attention only a couple paces to the rear. Ada took a moment to glance back at him. He caught her curious gaze and quickly pulled down the hood of his cloak to try avoiding it. "Hmmn..." Ada's gaze fell forward again while considering that embarrassed behavior her partner seemed to be expressing often lately.
The majority of her attention remained on her surroundings, trying to satisfy her duties to the high levels of expectation which she held herself to. Still, a small minority of her focus was allowed to wander toward thoughts of changing her post. From the sounds of things, it was likely that Arashigakure might need more help than Lord Shiro might need her service. 'When the Lord has finished his business I may request an audience...' Ada made a mental to-do note for herself while double-checking her attentive posture.
Toso would raise a finger at Kenshin's inquiry of whether or not Hajime was a potential cadet additionally to patch the wound he had just made in his foot by bringing up his apprenticeship to Belamos. "Ah Kenshin Bloop. Always reciting the law. I'm sure you recall article ninteen subsection F of detainment of elusive criminal activity bloop. 'If an elusive target meant for apprehension is met with severe evasion of the law an authorized posting may be produced granting permissions to civilians and available personnel who may or may not be off duty for subjugation should contact be made with the offending perpetrator' bloop. "Ah but listen to me. Reciting the old magics to you when you were there when it was written bloop. While this is typically something expected to be handled by the APD since a posting was notarized Sir Hajime is within his legal right to assist in the subjugation of said criminals bloop...and he realizes that he is to notify the appropriate authorities once the threat is considered neutralized for appropriate procedure correct bloop." Toso's glasses glared at Hajime this was more for him than it was Toso himself to reaffirm he a was law-abiding individual and didn't rile Kenshin. The aforementioned subsection F was likely easily overlooked as knowing Kenshin he doubted any criminal would be elusive enough to evade his forces for long yet one can't be everywhere at once. Kenshin and his force were only human. More so additionally those forces thanks to a certain 'someone' were now significantly less effective than what it once was.
It was at this point that tension would be cut by Shiro's opening of the door whilst Hajime was in his deep bowing posture. The familiar voice heard, one of an old accomplice and friend. A soft smile appearing on the usually stoic squids face as he laughed. "Bloo bloo bloo. I know, is it not majestic? Of course having been at the capital for so long I'd have expected you to see at least one no bloop?" Toso was of course referring to the abomination that was a Unihorsquid next to his desk. "I jest Shiro-nii bloop. Its quite good to see you in these troubling times, although it was to be expected after all since your lovely envoy took residence here I was wondering when you'd arrive. bloop." Toso would stand up, walk towards, and give his old friend a hearty er 'man hug' with one arm. The package on the table his worker delivered. He'd unravel it to reveal what appeared to be some form of cubic device. He'd read the instructions and thanks to his newfound worker mentality absorbed its understanding almost instantaneously. Opening a drawer and unraveling a scroll what appeared was some form of Astrolab that rotated in a mesmerizing fashion. Carefully Toso waited for an ideal time whilst he'd listen to the surrounding conversations that would occur. Like a ship in a bottle, he carefully inserted this cube into the center as the thing lit up. He'd then fiddle with it and through the kage window the clouds that surrounded the village grew denser, they turned black, they began to envelop the outer ring of the village as though it were making a bubble of black clouds. Then through the window what appeared to be electrical currents began to reflect off these clouds despite their distance. Ah, a request Officer Kosei." He'd say assuming that perchance he was getting ready to leave. "Might you use your Byakugan and tell me if you can see through these clouds?" The answer to that would be no once he'd do so but of course Toso needed to affirm this before he turned the thing off.

__ The captain listened to Toso's explanation of article nineteen and its subsection pertaining to the rights of civilians to participate in criminal investigations. At the end of his explanation, Kenshin nodded and was impressed at Toso's memorization of the legal code. "Yes sir, since article nineteen applies here then I'll allow him to accompany me." The key to that legal right is that Kenshin and his police force were the ones to take the case and accept civilian help which he was unsure if Toso wanted to apply in this case. After this, he listened to Hajime's introduction and only glanced over for acknowledgment. "Hopefully he isn't a hothead like his teacher." So far, Hajime seemed polite and collected so Kenshin was unopposed to working with him. Suddenly, the visage of emperor Shiro appeared in the doorway. Immediately, Kenshin unhooked his rapier and took a knee in a highly formal bow. "Lord Shiro!" He yelled in a militaristic acknowledgment for the head of state. His rapier's handle rested under his hands as it was presented in front of him. This would be familiar to Shiro when he assigned Kenshin to the Kumogakure Police Department as a genin all those years ago. He then stood from his knelt position and slightly presented the blade from its sheath to present the cloud shaped carving that he had made with a kunai. "I'm proud to serve your great empire and enforce order in the Storm." The police captain and CORE commander fully sheathed his sword and placed it back on his hip.
The Hyuuga formed a tiger hand seal on Toso's request and felt his ocular veins tense while his byakugan focused. He was unable to see through the black clouds. This was likely their anti-sensory measure to keep the village hidden as Kenshin suggested. "No, Lord Arashikage, I can't." He continued to try looking through it but was still able to see over much of the village. The sensory jammer caused Kenshin's eyes of justice to be unable to see for once which was incredibly unnerving. He then retracted his sight to just the Spire and allowed his perfect vision to quickly glance over the building. When he saw Ada's familiar face among the emperor's elite guard in the foyer he felt his heart rate surge. The captain gasped before regaining his stoic composure as soon as he could. He felt like an idiot because he should have suspected that she would be here. Even from the moment he met her she felt ethereal and otherworldly to him. After the war Kenshin was dedicated to establishing Arashigakure's police while she left the Cloud's police force to serve Shiro. That was her destiny and this was his but it seemed that fate brought them within proximity again. Her dedication to order, law, justice, and her nation matched even that of his own. He remembered when Lord Jay told him that he should consider finding love and starting a family as he had while Lord Toso asked him about love some time ago. Kenshin began to feel tempted, but it was a fundamental distraction from his duty so he fought it viciously, but he could not avert his mind's eye away from her angelic face. "Damn it." Ada preoccupied his thoughts each day but now it was completely beyond his command knowing that she was near. Could he truly love her and protect the village at the same time? Would love kill his sense of duty? What was the point of carrying on the path of righteousness when he could spend that time looking into her celestial eyes? The fact that this was even a distraction now as he stood before the emperor and the Arashikage seemed to prove that it was wrong.
With all of his might, he forced his vision away from her and into the village again. He saw something highly peculiar and then received a voice on his radio. Kenshin answered it and heard the dispatcher state that there was a disturbance of unusual chakra in the village and that he should investigate it. "Copy." He weaved three hand signs together as a shadow clone formed in front of him. "My Lords, please pardon me, duty calls. I'll be back as soon as I can." He then stepped out of the office and faced Ada with a slightly lingering look before exiting the building to investigate the chakra disturbance.

Spending a week or two deep in seclusion inside of the core after its reconstruction. Freya spent her time training after applying to Arashi's police force. Undergoing harsh training given to her by the Corps, Freya was taught many new things. Equipped with the experience she'd be released and ready to better server Arashi in it's time of need.
Orders to report to the spire for her new assignment lead the uchiha to the office. Entering the spire Freya moved with purpose. Police badge pinned over her left breast no one seemed to impede her. Crimson great sword holstered to her small frame. Emerald hues came upon a woman and another man. They didn't seem to just be loitering but guarding the stair way up to the Kage's office. Had it gotten that bad? The thought crossed Freya mind. How annoying. Her's eyes sharpening for only a moment her expression became cheerful. Exchanging a smile between both of the royal guards Freya moved towards the stair way before making her accent.
Climbing her way up to the office the Uchiha found herself walking towards a man encompassing the doorway that lead into the office. Not familiar with the man's face his aura gave off a strong vibe. Coming to the door way Freya knelt on one knee in front of the open door and red head. "Freya Uchiha to report that I'm done with my police force training and is waiting for assignment."Waiting for the best chance she'd announce herself to the room. Both Kenshin and newly appointed kage where here so it was perfect timing for her. killing two birds with one stone.

At first Shiro had quite literally no idea what his squid friend was gesturing to, though he knew, that knowing Toso, he would get an explanation sooner rather than later. Though he brushed it aside and embraced his friend,"Indeed. Hopefully she found a nice place to put a house, or a nice place already." Giving a chuckle he waved his hand,"I mean sure I could have sent word but lets be honest my friend. How often do I actually follow protocol. It was more fun to show up out of the blue. I didn't want people behaving differently if word got out that I was coming here." Though his revelation that he had succeeded the twins took him by surprise. Raising a brow he folded his arms,"I was not aware the twins had passed the hat. Hopefully under peaceful circumstances? They are still very much treasured friends." Though before he could inquire further, a blast from the past took him off guard. He recognized that voice, the young man he had entrusted so very long ago to the police. Taking a knee alongside Kenshin he placed one hand upon the rapier and one hand upon the mans shoulder,"My friend, please rise. You have grown so very much and it fills this old heart with pride to see what you have become." Placing his hand on the bottom of the rapier he rose slowly indicating for Kenshin to do so in kind. However the young girl entering made him smile as he jerked a thumb at Toso with a chuckle,"Your going to have to regale me with what has happened since I was in that chair. Things are so very much more formal. I mean I expected Kenshin to do that cause well, its Kenshin. But now you got kids doing it too." Facing the young female he stepped to the side of the office,"Please, dont let me hold you up."

He would say as jokingly as he could with his tone of voice in regards to Shiro's 'not wanting to make people feel differently' The remaining clone of Kenshin, Hajime, Freya. The office while still having plenty of room was beginning to be suffocating. Especially with the addition of the unsquihorse. He'd dismiss the ~~abomination~~ creation and then state the following. "I congratulate you on your recent promotions through the ranks of the police force miss Uchiha." His gaze shifted to the Kenshin clone and nod. The nod carried the implications of his following request. "I believe I'm certain your officer can come up with something that would require your assistance. bloop. If it is not too much trouble I would like to converse with my old friend in private bloop." Toso was essentially dumping Freya off on Kenshin. Honestly speaking it was 'his' department and was part of 'his' unit primarily so it very much was his responsibility as much his. Essentially Hajime, Kenshin's Clone and Freya would all be shoo'd out of the room if Kenshin's clone did what was expected of him. Ada was free to join only on the grounds of security reasons but Toso would not continue less all in the room had left and it was just these two at most three.

__ He was proud to accept the emperor's praise and would continue conducting his duties diligently and without question. When the Arashikage requested privacy, Kenshin bowed twice, once to Toso and once to Shiro before taking his leave. The shadow clone opened the door and let Freya and Hajime out first before stepping out and closing the door. He gave plenty of time in case the royal guard wanted to step in and monitor the meeting for security purposes. "Freya, you are to join us in apprehending the Kunoichi Killer. He's a dangerous mass murderer who has evaded justice for far too long. The investigation has been extensive, but I'm on the case now and I have a perfect record." The police captain stated once the door was closed behind them and they stood in the foyer with the guards. Their armor looked golden to him and quite extravagant. He turned his attention from Freya to Hajime. "Do you have a lead?" If Hajime knew where to start then that would be immensely helpful.
Kenshin then turned his attention to someone he had not seen since the war, Ada. He heard that she was one of Shiro's elite guards and aided in his rise to power against the tyrannical lightning daimyo from before. The hardest decision he ever made was between the lawful ruler of the land and the leader of his village and his direct commander. These conflicting ideas likely weighed heavily on Ada at the time as well. Regardless, both Kenshin and Ada were highly skilled and ended up in their rightful places in the end. He bowed to her respectfully as he had a deep respect for her sense of duty and figured that he may as well quickly acknowledge her. It seemed unlikely to Kenshin that the emperor would stay long and that Ada would have to leave soon as well so there was no foreseeable harm in speaking with her. "It's been a long time since we ran missions in the KPD together, Ada. It's great to see you still bringing honor to our nation." He chose to mention those memories as opposed to the horrible incidents at Seizan that still haunted him and Selina and likely Ada as well. "I'm the captain of the Arashigakure Police Department and of the village's ANBU organization called CORE. If you need any help from my officers in your security mission with the emperor here then inform me." He extended the offer to help her in any capacity and was eager to do so if necessary. Now he would wait for Ada's response as well as Freya's confirmation and Hajime's lead.
