Scarlett really wished she was so unfamiliar with this sport, but then again she really couldn't complain when she picked it for their next little game, knowing full well that she had never really played and that Zak was probably an expert. It was really putting her out of her comfort zone to honestly ask for Zak's help, especially when she was still angry at him, but accepting his help would get her to actually playing against him sooner, rather than wasting time and energy on trying to figure it all out on her own. Being willful and stubborn here wouldn't do her any favors, so she swallowed her pride and asked for assistance. Zak seemed to take a moment to consider her plea, rubbing his neck and giving her a lazy stare before agreeing and moving closer. Though, the first thing he mentioned was the presence of her freckles. Scarlett blinked, feeling heat starting to pool into her cheeks. "Yeah... What about 'em...? There's no point in puttin' on makeup b'fare a workout." She suggested with a frown and a shrug. She wasn't sure what made him feel compelled to mention them. Sure, they had been covered up before, but... She supposed she didn't think he'd care all that much if he noticed, or at least not enough to point it out.
Regardless, he moved behind her to help position her hand properly. Feeling him over her was mildly distracting though, annoyingly so. She didn't want to think about his body or proximity, she wanted to focus, learn, and do everything in her power to score a basket on him. Was she really this easy? Arceus it pissed her off, and motivated her to concentrate more on what Zak was saying. She especially tried to pay attention to the way he had her dribble, committing it to muscle memory. Using just her fingers to bounce the ball was an interesting idea. One would think that the more surface area your hand had on the ball, the more control you would have over it, but Scarlett would follow Zak's advice. She also noted that she needed to learn how to give the ball some spin by bouncing it forward. "Alright." Scarlett nodded, feeling a bit better now that she had some instruction and direction on what to practice.
When he moved back around, Scarlett started attempting to dribble just using her fingertips. Admittedly, it did feel more natural just using her fingertips, and the ball moved smoothly from her hand to the ground and back. With that established, she tilted her hand at an angler to push the ball forward slightly, but pulled her hand back as the ball left it to give it some backspin. It wasn't perfect, but as Zak said, she would need to just keep practicing to get any better. She had known that going in, but now that she had better technique, she would probably improve faster. Once she grew comfortable, she looked up at Zak, though her gaze moved through him, since she was only looking up to practice not looking at the ball while dribbling. All of her focus was directed at feeling the ball in her hand, predicting with muscle memory where it would move when it bounced back up so that she could meet it with her hand. Occasionally she would glance down to check in when she felt the ball getting away from her, but she was doing a lot better than before.
She paused, shifting her stance and picking the ball up again in both hands before starting to practice with her opposite hand. It was a rough start, given that it was her less dominant hand, but eventually she was able to retain some control over the ball in it without looking, and then she practiced switching back and forth mid bounce until she was somewhat satisfied. "Alright.... What do ya think? Next subject traenálaí?" She asked with a light smile. She hadn't really realized it, given her focus and determination, but she was actually rather enjoying this. It had been a while since she had learned something significantly new, and threw all herself into the deep end so to speak. It was exciting and interesting, though Zak was a good motivator, given how badly she wanted to score a basket on him and win their bet.

Vandal smirked as Mila insisted that he shouldn't call her doll. "Why not?" He asked with an amused tilt of his head. "It's supposed to be a compliment ya know." He explained, along with his point of view went as far as not paying attention to a battle, even if he didn't need too. Mila seemed to agree to his point, but Vandal submitted and allowed her to at least explain her issue, not wanting to outright deny a lady in distress. She explained that she was lost, so Vandal told her what little he did know; they were in Castelia City, Unova, but pointed out that was the extension of his knowledge of the city. The news seemed to disappoint Mila, her ears drooping as she made to move on, but Vandal couldn't allow that. He felt bad enough not being able to really help the delphox, he couldn't just let her wander off on her own in such a sad state, so he offered to accompany her when the battle was over, if she was willing to wait for him. He was happy she agreed at least, and much more determined now to get this battle over with. Isaac was quickly and thoroughly trounced, but the boy had expected it going in. He just wanted to get a chance to see Vandal's, or rather unknowingly Scarlett's, pokemon in action. "Thanks mister! That was awesome!" Isaac beamed. "Oh, heh. You're welcome kid. Thanks for the battle." Vandal nodded, watching the boy run off to the pokemon center before moving towards Mila. "So missy, was there somethin' in particular you were looking for...?" He asked curiously, one arm at his side while the other gripped it sheepishly.

"Just an observation, Mishka," Zak drawled back casually to her retort to his comment on her freckles. It was weird, definitely struck him as such, but it wasn't something he was trying to make a fuss over. Just something that slipped out absently. Basketball had that effect on him-- well actually, it had a lot of effects on him. It was like a thousand drugs mixed in one, with each reaction as a possibility. It could make him calm, relaxed.... almost blissful. It could make him amped up, competitive, aggressive, cocky, arrogant, loud, or laid back, snarky, smart, and passive. Which was also probably part of why he was so compliant with helping Scarlett out and giving her a demonstration without any additional hassle or grief over it. He wanted to play, though seeing how much of a beginner she was, he could feel his expectations dropping. Not so much that he would drop his guard completely, but enough that he wasn't going to be expecting, or hoping, to get started immediately, or have a hard challenge right off the bat. With a sheepish smile Apollo extended a hand out to take his winnings, only to have them swiped away from him by an agitated |20+0|/| who peered at the TM and badge curiously before he tossed both back at the man. "Useless..." he muttered, his words, of course, lost to the human. |20+0|/| looked up sharply from there, his eyes narrowing on Apollo. "Fleshy, I thought I told you that I would be handling this battle alone." Apollo, who had only just now managed to collect the items haphazardly thrown in his direction, flinched; even if his words were lost in translation, his anger certainly wasn't, and he just couldn't ignore the fact that the air around them was getting alarmingly warm.
Before Apollo had the misfortune to find out what would happen if he continued to simply stand there, Sylvia introduced herself; or more accurately, she introduced her tail directly to |20+0|/|'s face. With a hiss she coiled her body protectively around her trainer's, her eyes nothing more than angry, red slits as she peered down at |20+0|/|. "I don't know what you think you were going to get away with, but try that again and I'll kick your a**-- I don't care if I no longer have the legs to do it." |20+0|/|, disorientated, shook himself before he shot a heated glare at Sylvia. He didn't speak, however, and held his tongue before abruptly turning around and making his way back to the gym's entrance.
"I..." Apollo, at a loss for words, could only look up at his starter in bewilderment before he hesitantly reached a hand up to stroke her head; he could understand the gist of what had just happened. "..Thanks, Sylvia." Well wasn't this new, being saved by his starter from one of his other pokemon. The Serperior bowed her head, allowing the petting to continue for a few more seconds, before she uncoiled herself from around Apollo. "Let's.. head out, get you healed," he suggested, clearing his throat before he began walking back, hopefully |20+0|/| hadn't gotten too far ahead...

"I know what it's supposed to be," Mila insisted, but quickly averted her gaze. "I just don't care for it, if you are to call me anything it shall be my name." Leaving it at that she allowed her attention to shift back to Vandal's battle, he'd made a good point when he said that it was rude not to give an opponent your full attention; she admitted as much, but she didn't immediately clam up either. Revealing that she was actually lost, Mila couldn't help but to despair when all that could be told to her was that she was in Castelia, Vandal didn't know much more than that. It was... fine, she'd just have to find someone else who was more well-informed, that would just take a bit more time and a little more wandering on her part. Before she got the chance, however, Vandal offered to escort her around the city after his battle. Despite her surprise she quickly agreed, settling down quietly in the background--which was rare in itself--until he finished. "Well aren't you good with children," she mused, once the young boy had walked away. Mila tilted her head to the left, and then to the right; something she was... looking for. "Hm," she gave a mirthless laugh. "I'm looking for a lot of things. Right now, I'm just looking for my trainer."

Scarlett quirked an eyebrow as Zak insisted that he had just been making an observation, but shrugged it off. She didn't really care, she just hadn't really expected him to make a remark. Still, their attention focused on more important things, like the proper dribbling technique. Once Zak had showed her how, Scarlett was able to practice enough to the point where she believed she could move on, asking Zak what to try next. When he suggested shooting, she nodded, eyeing the hoop behind him, though when he suggested that she shouldn't worry about traveling, Scarlett frowned lightly. "If I practice it wrong here, I'm gonna do it wrong when it actually matters." She commented, struggling not to mimic his accent again. The intense look he'd given her before when she nearly slipped up was enough to motivate her not to do it here, but hearing it and conversing with him made it really difficult. It wasn't like she could ask him to stop though, that would probably get her just as much guff if she'd accidentally said something in a russian accent.
Dribbling over to the basket, Scarlett picked up the ball and paused. She had seen players shoot, they had a specific form; the shooting hand rested on the bottom half of the ball while the other hand rested on the side, almost to guide the ball before it was pushed up and away at the target, following through afterwards with the shooting hand drooping down, probably due to putting slight spin on it as Zak had suggested earlier. It was the same thing she had imitated with her wastebasket shooting, except now it was the real thing, with a much larger ball and a higher target. As she adjusted her stance to match what she'd seen, she muttered to herself and paused, glancing at Zak. "Didn't ya say you could speak in a brittish accent?" She asked curiously, low key looking for a way to change his accent before she slipped out of her own.
Well, that and she was honestly interested to see if he could pull it off, and what it sounded like. Aiming for the basket, Scarlett made her shot. It hit the rim, swiveled around, and eventually went in. She didn't use the backboard, mostly because she was treating her shooting just the same as the wastebasket shots, but given all the changes, she was surprised she'd made her first shot. She was certain that she wouldn't be able to replicate it yet though, at least not until she got better at shooting. Even so, she felt a bit proud and turned to Zak with a small smile that she wasn't even aware she had. "How was that?" She asked curiously. She wasn't fishing for compliments, which would have been surprising under normal circumstances, but Scarlett was more than aware of the difference in their skill, so she wasn't about to go boasting some lucky shot to Zak. She honestly just wanted to know how she'd done, and how she could improve, if Zak had any tips.

Once it was agreed she would wait for him to finish the battle so he could escort her, Vandal focused on the match at hand and quickly finished fighting with Isaac, watching as the little boy ran off after thanking him for the match with a little smile. Even Mila commented on how he seemed good with children. "Heh~ Yeah, I suppose. I'd like to think it's because I'm a bit of a child myself, at heart anyways." Vandal admitted with a light laugh before asking if there was anything Mila was looking for specifically so that he knew what he should keep an eye out for. He joined Mila's mirthless laugh when she suggested that she was looking for a lot of things. "Aren't we all...." He nodded, though she soon admitted more to the point that she was looking for her trainer. "Alright... What do they look like? Do you know anything specific, like a name, age, height, weight?" He asked, sticking his hands in his illusionary pockets and walking alongside the Delphox to start moving down the street.

Scarlett ignored Zak's eye roll with mild success as she dribbled slowly past him. It irked her, but she was focused on practicing for their match, and she wouldn't allow herself to get distracted. She didn't want him going easy on her with training. If she made a mistake, she wanted him to tell her, so that she would make note of it and correct it. The frustration of doing it wrong would work as motivation to do it correctly. Once she got close enough to the basket, she took some time to figure out her posture, and decided to pass the time by bringing up the British accent he had claimed to be able to pull off. Not only would it provide some measure of entertainment, but it would also help her stop thinking about his Russian accent. Of course, Zak called her out on that fact immediately.
As angry as he had seemed for her near slip up before, he certainly seemed amused by her current struggle. "I wouldn't put it that way. I like your accent. I like accents in general, so I've studied them and practiced them in my free time. Because of that though, I tend to mimic the accents around me, and I've been spendin' a lot of time with you lately a stór.... Given my experience last time I did it though, I assumed you didn't want me mimicking you..." She commented, glancing his way for a moment as he tossed her the ball back. She caught it, nodding as he instructed her to try using the backboard more. "Eef you're so amused by my deestraction, zen maybe you don't mind as much as I sought.... Hm?" She suggested, watching him to gauge his reaction. She didn't want to taunt or provoke him, but that cocky smirk got the better of her.
She shot the ball again, trying to use the backboard by hitting the center of the painted square as she had seen players do, but she was too forceful, probably due to her irritation levels, and the ball bounced back off of the rim and away from the basket. Scarlett cursed under her breath and jogged to retrieve the ball before attempting to dribble back to the key and set herself up for another shot again.

Vandal gave Mila an amused grin as she fumed, quite literally, when he pointed out that she still hadn't given her name. "Mila? What a pretty name." He mused contently, chuckling as she insisted that it was only fair now that he return the favor. "Of course, of course. The name's Vandal. Nice to meet ya~" He grinned, throwing his arms behind his head. He was rather proud that she'd thought he worked well with children, but the zoroark was modest, insisting that the cause was probably due to being a child at heart himself. He hadn't expected Mila to offer candy as a reward for a job well done though. "E-eh? Ya mean it lady?" Vandal asked, eyes wide with interest. "I'm a real sucker for sweets~ Heh~" He grinned at his little pun, tail wagging happily behind him, not that it was visible with his illusion. Of course, in order to actually help Mila, he needed a better description of her trainer. Mila gave a few details, it was pretty vague, and Mila looked a bit distraught though. "H-hey, chin up.... Don't worry about it. Female, brown hair, that's somethin' to work off of at least." He offered with a small smile. "Oh," Vandal snapped his illusionary fingers as an idea popped into his head. "You're a psychic type, so why don't you project her image into my brain? You can do that, right?" He asked brightly. Even if her memories were hazy, every little bit helped.

Zak frowned a little bit as Scarlett explained, and though to most he might look annoyed, those who knew him well -- like his pokemon -- could tell he was just processing what she said. So she mimicked? That kind of made sense, actually. She seemed like an adaptive woman; he was pretty sure she'd make a good under cover agent, actually, if she were to ever get into that sort of thing. He wasn't sure she was really the 'employment' sort, though. If he had to guess, he would say she probably preferred to do things her own way, for herself, but... might be persuaded into a job if she could essentially do that, but get paid for it, too. Probably not Imperium material, but something to keep in mind, maybe prod into later. It never hurt to get more information on a person, factual, or psychological.
That frowning, concentrating expression quickly darkened when Scarlett shifted to using his accent. An expression that read very clearly, 'Wrong choice'. His eyes narrowed, and for a moment, it seemed he was more intent to glare at her, than watch as she shot, but, in a swift, fluid, and surprisingly fast movement, he suddenly turned, bolted to the basket, and jumped up. He caught the ball as he rebounded, twisted slightly, and slammed it in, hanging onto the rim a moment before dropping down. He landed at an angle, and threw her a side look, one less amused, but less irritated, than the ones he'd been giving her before. "Just get ze ball, Mishka," he replied in a low drawl. He turned, heading back to his things, and reaching up to rub his neck as he did. He really wished she hadn't done that. He didn't like it, no matter how playfully she might have intended it. And he wanted to enjoy his basketball.
Grabbing his water, he turned back, looking at the basket in a way that seemed more analytical than it ought to be, given there wasn't much going on with it. "..... How long do you sink you vill need to get ze hang of things?" he asked, lowering his water bottle and wiping his mouth, still not looking at her, even though he was clearly addressing her with his question.

Scarlett noted the frown on Zak's face, but she knew he wasn't upset by her words. She had seen him irritated, annoyed, or at least mildly angry. This look didn't have any hostility, it was more thoughtful, as if he were really thinking over her words. She didn't mind though. She wanted him to be aware of her ability with accents, especially after their first meeting when he seemed to suggest that her unique Scottish Irish accent was something he could use to track her down. She wanted him to know that she was a like a kecleon, that she could blend in to her surroundings and completely disappear if she needed to. She was still annoyed with him though, for a variety of justified reasons, and his smugness he dared to show about her getting distracted by not mimicking his accent was enough to push her over the edge. So she decided to stop holding back. After all, he clearly wasn't appreciating how hard she was struggling to not offend him, so why bother giving him the courtesy?
Hearing her talk in his accent though, Zak's expression quickly darkened, and Scarlett's heart jumped in excitement. Arceus, such a dangerous look. He even pulled some fast flashy move to rebound her missed shot and dunk it into the basket. Though he was possibly trying to be intimidating, Scarlett only felt giddy, giving an impressed whistle at his maneuver. That only earned her a look and orders to get the ball. "Yessir." She said obediently, moving to retrieve the ball as requested, though when she was turned away from Zak, she allowed herself the wide grin that she'd been holding back. Now that she had gotten to push Zak's buttons a bit, she felt a lot better. Really, it was justified, but she didn't want to overdo it. If she pushed too far, Zak would kick her off the court or leave, and she didn't want that. She would have to do some damage control now, but it was worth it in her eyes. "Why do you hate that so much? I thought imitation was the highest form of flattery." She asked honestly. It wasn't like she was trying to mock him when she spoke in his accent. She'd even admitted earlier that she was very fond of them, so she didn't get why he cared. She knew that he probably wouldn't answer, but in the off chance he would, she wanted to ask.
While he went to get some water, she threw up a few practice shots to get used to using the backboard until she found the right amount of strength to shoot with. Afterwards, the still shots became child's play. Zak asked how long she needed, and Scarlett gave the question some serious thought. She knew he was anxious to play, and frankly, she was too, but she couldn't waste this warm up time, especially after seeing the beast she would be going up against. Not that she was scared. It was exciting to see how impressive Zak was, impossible odds was what made things more challenging and fun. All her practice with shooting guns and messing around with wastebaskets had given her good aim, she just needed to get used to shooting with a basketball. That, and dribbling. She was certain that shooting would be more difficult under Zak's pressure, but she was used to shooting under pressure, just not with a basketball into a hoop. "Practice with me." She spoke up. "Run though a few slow one on one sets in different positions so that I can feel what gameplay will go like, but don't go all out just yet if you can help it." She shot him a grin. It wasn't meant to be a sarcastic or taunting look, rather she was just happy. She was going to get frustrated, she was going to be at a disadvantage. It was so.... Thrilling. She would need to give this her all, and even then, she was probably going to get crushed. Yet she was grinning from ear to ear at the thought. The slower pace would allow her to get a better feel of dribbling during the action, and help her better understand what was happening in full speed. That way, when they started, and Zak inevitably made her head spin the first few times, she would actually be able to see and analyze what he was doing. Plus, at a slower pace, she would be able to conserve energy and focus on what she was doing. Practicing in real time was ideal, but since she only had to score one basket on Zak, so technically, she had an infinite number of real time practices with him, as long as she had the energy to go on.

As… huffy as she was being, there was a part of her that appreciated the fact that Vandal was being a gentleman with all his remarks. He didn't seem like a bad guy, he’d even managed to leave on a good note with the kid he’d been battling, despite the fact that his Pokemon had been thoroughly trounced. The Delphox had been joking when, in response to Vandal admitting that he was a kid inside, she’d suggested she’d give him a piece of candy after helping her. But he had taken her seriously. “Ah… sure.” Mila looked away, avoiding the joyful look Vandal obtained at this news. “Do you have a favorite type?” Up until a few minutes ago she hadn’t even known what city she was in! How was she supposed to find a candy store?!
Thankfully, she was saved from her minor predicament by the depressing fact that she hardly remembered anything about her trainer, this revelation coming about when Vandal requested a few details on the woman. “It’s nothing…” she argued, gritting her teeth in light frustration at her own lack of memory. How could she not remember her own trainer?! She’d been with her since she’d been a Fennekin! Ha-hadn’t she? “I can only imagine how many women with brown hair are in this city alone!” Why did she think she could ever find her? Mila, growing noticeably upset, looked up at Vandal when he snapped his fingers then suggested a solution. Which was definitely better than nothing. “O-of course I can!” Rather than verbally defend herself Mila simply chose to show Vandal what she could do, narrowing her eyes at him in concentration before honing on her abilities, gathering the fuzzy details of her trainer into a single thought before she transformed it into an image and projected it directly into Vandal’s mind. The picture started off as just a figure, but soon it morphed into a woman with brunette hair and blue eyes, a definitive facial structure appearing next. ”Can you see it?” Mila asked after several moments had passed, her teeth grit with concentration.

Scarlett gave an inward sigh as Zak didn't seem to have an answer her question. She hadn't expected him to, either because he outright wouldn't answer or didn't have one, but it was still a bit disappointing. She really did wish he didn't take such offense to it, since it sure would make things easier on her to just slip into a russian accent around him without ruining his mood. Not to mention she was curious as to what made him hate it so much. The fact that he couldn't really give her a real answer only made it more interesting. Scarlett needed to focus on practicing however, so she forced herself to stop thinking about it for now, shooting a couple practice shots at the backboard until she got a better feel for it. When Zak asked how long she thought she needed before they could actually play though, Scarlett had to give some thought before properly answering. He seemed confused at first, before eventually accepting her terms, if that was what she wanted. Scarlett nodded lightly, confirming even though it was unnecessary. This was the best option for both of them right now, since Scarlett needed exposure to normal gameplay, and Zak was clearly itching to do something, if his flashy move earlier had said anything. Not that Scarlett could blame him. She wanted to start their match as soon as possible as well, but she needed to take this practice time and put it to good use.
Scarlett watched, ball at her side as Zak positioned himself between her and the basket, then she readied herself as well. Before the practice started though, Zak smirked and commented that he wasn't sure if he knew how to move slowly. Scarlett might have missed the vague innuendo due to her concentration, if it weren't for the sultry, purring tone it was delivered in. Flirting? Now? Scarlett couldn't help but wonder what his angle was. It seemed like such a 180 from his earlier attitude, but she would take it. How could she not? "Don't worry, it's quite easy... You just calm down, and enjoy the ride..." Scarlett suggested with a sly smile and a leering gaze, before starting to dribble the ball, making sure to keep herself between it and Zak. "Once you find a steady rhythm, then you can pick up the pace." With that flirtatious exchange out of the way, Scarlett faked forward, then swiveled around in the other direction before attempting to pass Zak and bolt towards the basket. If he managed to see through her fake movement and block her way again, she could back up and try to figure something else out, if Zak actually allowed it.

Vandal's grin only widened as Mila thanked him but suggested that the pleasure of meeting him was only half mutual. "Aw come on~ Don't be like that...." Vandal chuckled lightly. "I'm doin' my best here, at least give me a fighting chance." He suggested with a nervous laugh. He was rather happy with the idea of being rewarded with candy after all of this, more than he would have liked to admit. "Favorite type? Hm... I like suckers~ They last the longest, especially if they're big. I keep seeing these really huge colorful ones, as big and round as a seedot~" There was a bit of a dreamy look in the zoroarks eyes as he described the confectionary treat, but first they needed to focus on finding Mila's trainer. Candy would come later.
After asking and receiving a vague description of Mila's trainer, Vandal came up with the brilliant idea of the delphox planting the image of her trainer in his head. When he asked about it though, Mila got more defensive about it than Vandal expected, and the zoroark raised his illusionary arms in his own defense. "E-easy.... I wasn't questioning yer ability or nothin', I just didn't want to assume. I don't know how psychic powers work an' all, and I don't like stereotypes.... Just didn't want to offend ya miss Mila...." He simpered. After explaining himself, he cleared his mind and allowed her to implant her trainers image, nodding when the delphox asked if he could see it. "Yeah, that's a much clearer image than I had before, thanks...." He burned the image into his mind, but then thought of another helpful idea. "Oh, what about her scent?" Vandal asked, without giving much thought to the fact that scent was not something a normal human would ask for. He only realized this moments too late of course. "I-I mean, that way maybe one of my pokemon can.... Oh, screw it." He sighed, glancing at Mila with a sullen gaze. "You already know what I am, don't you?" There was really no point in trying to cast illusions around a psychic.

Zak placed himself a little closer to the net than to Scarlett as he got ready to 'defend' it. He was trying hard not to underestimate her or let his guard down, but he was pretty sure he couldn't expect professional movements just yet. He made his little comment and raised an eyebrow with a smirk when she responded, but couldn't help but roll his eyes a little after. "Have some subtly, Mishka, really," he faux-chided, straightening up and tilting his head to give her a more laid back smirk. He hadn't even actually meant it like that-- his innuendo had been for something much lighter. He didn't tend to take relationships slow, or at least, that was the joke. Still, he wasn't surprised she took it to be a much dirtier comment. If he wasn't in such a good mood, he might have actually felt she took it a little too far, but he was getting to play basketball, and so amusement was the more prominent reaction he had.
"Focus on ze ball you actually have your hands on for now, yeah?" he added teasingly, lowering back to get ready. He watched her as she moved, raising an eyebrow when she faked. He didn't really move to block her, though; he shifted in that direction, but he seemed to be waiting for her to shoot-- mostly so he could jump up, and block it. He was more interested in letting her get all the practice on the ground that she could, and he was confident that he could move fast enough to stop a shot once the ball actually left her arms, so long as he watched his footing, and his distance.

"Hmm." Mila considered Vandal when he suggested that he receive a 'fighting chance', and after a moment she gave a lofty shrug. "I suppose I at least owe you that..." she conceded. The fox listened intently when the other began to describe his favorite type of candy, memorizing the details so that, later, she'd be able to keep an eye out for that specific kind. "Big suckers, alright. I'll keep that in mind." It was interesting to see Vandal so rapt in the mere description of a piece of candy. It was cute, if you were into that sort of thing-- which she definitely wasn't. There were more important matters to intend to, however, and Mila turned her focus to those. The Delphox became hot--pun intended--at Vandal's question. It was innocent enough, but she couldn't help but feel the need to jump at the male when he asked if she could psychically transfer the image of her trainer into Vandal's mind.
Crossing her arms Mila listened as Vandal tried to explain himself, her face falling after a moment. He really was... a decent person, and it was obvious that he was trying. If she wanted to continue to employ his help, it would've been in her best interest to back off of the male. "No.. it's fine. I'm... sorry for overreacting." Apologies were always hardest for the Delphox, so... hopefully he appreciated it! Once calming herself down Mila concentrated on projecting the image of her trainer into Vandal's mind, her shoulders falling afterwards in an attempt to relax. "I'm glad it helped." With her description out of the way the two were... somewhat closer to locating Mila's trainer, now as to how close they were, she was unsure. But, this was better than nothing. Her ears perked up at Vandal's next question, a dubious look crossing her face at the next sense he went to; it didn't take long for the other to realize the fault in question however. With a smirk Mila couldn't help but to giggle, one hand coming up to cover her mouth. "I do," she confirmed. "I was wondering how long you were going to keep up the whole 'human' guise," she admitted and then laughed once more.
