Larkanna placed a delicate hand on his shoudler before saying, "If it means undoing that curse, then I'd run around telling people that the world is flat and then find the edge to prove it to them." She couldn't believe that he hadn't known his real mother and he'd grown up his entire life with Lillet raising him. How he managed to survive... I may never know. "If she revives herself, then she'll be at her weakest the moment that she comes back into the physical world and into a body. If she tries to fully revive herself, we can simply kill her again."

He stared at her " Both true and false depending on the spirit your dealing with." he said " This is a dragon were talking about and one who has had ample time to perfect magic." he said " Anyway you should get ready since you seemed determined to go to the meet." he said " We can worry about it afterwords and you still have a little girl to save.' he said and summoned his golden staff over to him which now seemed dormant and silent.

Standing, Larkanna nodded, "I'll be back in a couple of minutes." Then she summoned another portal, using the newfound magic that they'd just uncovered, and entered it. Changing into a tunic that was charmed to help withstand any and all types of weather and landforms, she braided her hair back to keep it out of her face. Before re-entering the portal she ran into one of her many hidden rooms that would only open at the sound of her voice, she entered a room filled with weapons, many that were simply artifacts that she had for the sake of their magical properties, and chose a long sword. Magic appears to be only a part of what she sends at you... many of the most successful had weapons on them.

Then she reappeared next to Elkand, looking prepared for an endless battle.

He looked at her and smiled before taking her hand and teleporting them to the tower but they ended up on the outside amongst an immense crowd of couples . The tower was enormous extending beyond the clouds themselves. His mother and father were speaking as they showed up. He nodded " Here we go...I hope yuor ready Larkanna....its gonna be very tough." he whispered to her as his parents continued to give a speech to motivate the wizards.

Larkanna's eyes darted from one couple to the next, wondering whether they had what it took to make it to the top of the tower. But the size of the tower made it look impossible that anyone would ever make it to the highest level in a single lifetime. I wonder how much time it took to build it and come up with a new challenge for each level... But she didn't have any time to ask before many of the couples began entering the tower about one minute after the other, like one giant race. It wasn't just a race, though, it was a test to see who was the strongest and breavest. "I'm just as ready as you are." She assured him.

He nodded and began to walk with her keeping his staff right next to him along with her and as soon as they entered they saw many wizards had already fallen unconscious due to the towers first level challenge. He shook his head " I guess she really did do it." he said and continued walking with Larkanna however it was very slow. This room was small so one would think it was an easy room however in moments as the got to the stairs shadows blocked their way and surrounded them red eyes appearing all around them. as shadowy figures started to step out and make their way to them. His tapped his staff on the ground a circle of light spreading as he did " Begone creatures!" he said in a exceptionally wizard like voice that he normally didn't display. The shadows hid form the light and receded in fear as the path opened once again and Elkand continued " Thats the easiest this tower has to offer too." he said " But most don't know that." he said to Larkanna.

Larkanna gazed around as the shadow creatures hid, staring at them maliciously, craving the blood of their prey. Shuddering a little, she continued down the path, her sword drawn and her mind alert. There wasn't anything that would pop out, these were the only creatures here, and they were already at bay with the light. Her sword glinted in the light, magical runes glowing ever-so-slightly as if warning the monsters that if they dared to tread in their path again, she wouldn't hesitate to cut it down.

Entering the next set of stairs, she was surprised that they were well-lit and welcoming, as if it were a way of saying, "Congratulations, you've made it past the first floor. Don't get too excited, though, since there are more and tougher trials ahead."

He continued up with her up to the second floor and once there they had to stop immediately to avoid walking into the large pool of spirits who were constantly grabbing at them and moaning in agony but it seemed to wanted to pull them in and drown them and cause them to join in agony. This was relatively simple but still dangerous beacuse if one got hold of you there was no chance for you to ever escape. He nodded " Okay... this is simple...just make sure to stay in tune with me and don't let them draw you in.." he said and closed his eyes and held out his hand and a dim light started to spread from their side to the other. He was making a walkway but he couldn't complete it without her help.

Larkanna gazed around nonchallantly at the spirits, showing no emotion and not giving them the pleasure of eating at any fear from her. One grabbed her ankle, but she slashed it in half with her blade while quickly murmuring a charm that would allow the sword to pierce the spirits, even though they should not feel any pain. The one that she'd attacked screeched an earsplitting curse, but none of the others dared grabbing after the fire haired girl with the blade that coudl hurt them. Taking his hand, she listened for the pulse and then added to that light, mkaing it brighter.

He held her hand tight as he stepped onto the bridge and found it was hard enough to walk on. He continued on walking over the pool of death. No one grabbed at him due to the fact he was with Larkanna and he was happy about it as Elkand somehow could never bring himself to hurt the sad spirits the only reason he got away was beacuse of some sympathetic group and it was usually one the 50th floor. They went across very slowly but on there he opened his eyes and let go of her hand and took a deep breath " I'm glad you can scare the dead Larkanna..I can never bring myself to hurt them." he said. He looked at steps which were white " Here we go." he said and stepped on and began to walk up.

"I suppose it's a gift. I tend to scare the living, too." Larkanna said sarcastically as she looked down at her hand. She had to admit, she didn't mind holding his hand at all... it made her feel secure in a way that she had never felt before. Taking a deep breath and pushing the thoughts aside, she followed him up the stairs, "You seem to know what's next.... Might I ask so I may prepare for it?"

Elkand shook his head " I've no clue." he said " I think Lillet is really trying to prevent anyone form reaching the top if that pool was only on the second floor...normally its on the 5oth beacuse were so tired we might fall in." he said " But I would have to guess next was the flame elemental room." he said and continued up until he hit the red door. He frowned and opened the door to see the room on fire with a giant red golem like creature standing there. Elkand sighed " Yeah....yeah I knew it...this is normally on floor number sixty." he said.

Larkanna simply nodded before slowly sliding into the room in front of him, sword raised, "I've heard that those that specialize in Fire magics are less likely to burn in such temperatures.... We both have that kind of magic flowing their our veins, but that doesn't mean that it isn't going to attack the moment we step into--!" At that moment, before she could finish her sentence, the golem screeched, sending flames in the direction of the door. Dashing forward, she slashed at the flames, cutting them in half before they slammed Elkand out of the picture. "The door has an enchantment on door! Either we beat this thing or you figure out the spell to unlock it. Ifirits don't just die when they're pierced by a blade." Most of her Water type magic was weaker than her Earth and Fire magic, making it practically useless in this room with temperatures that could rival hell.

Elkand nodded and slowly walked into the flames and went to the door and began to read the strange writing on it " Recite our names our face the pain of our guardians flames." he said and tried to think of each one " Lumine, Fortitude, Ventus, Flamma, Glacius, Umbra." he said however he was missing one of them and couldn't remember. He saw the golem about to attack Larkanna again and used a quick ice spell to freeze the flames and shatter it however it only made him tired. He then remembered " Creed!" he said and the last symbol started to glow and the door opened just as the flame elemental was about to attack again. Elkand ran over and grabbed her hand and watched as the giant fireball cam flying towards them. He let his staff take the hit however the flames seemed to split and grab onto Elkand's arms and started ot burn him. His mark immediately went dark and started to spread even onto the flames and over to the elemental turning it black as it fill to its knees seemingly screaming and died out. Elkands arm returned to normal and he smiled at her " Finally history comes in handy for more than just spells." he said and led her over to the door and onto the steps.
