Hisashi would heartily thank his hosts the next morning (with perhaps the exception of Lord Kaiu, were he being drunk and reclusive from the incident the night before) and prepare himself to move on towards the Twilight Mountains. The group had a job to do, and as nice as the rest was they needed to move on.

Unless something came up during his morning prep or someone didn't show up to leave, he would continue on as normal. Of course with this crew he could never tell what might happen in the course of a morning...

At this point, it only looks like Ujina Denbe will be the only one losing his ancestor bonus for the first Chapter! Though, he has the right to act on it retro-actively if he mentions so in his next post (and next post only).

Kaiu Hana would bow in respect to the Jade Wardens. "I wish you luck in your journies, Wardens. Please, do take care to watch after my son; he can be so stubborn and opinionated sometimes. But he doesn't mean ill by it." She would turn and gesture to one of the servants, who came forth with a wrapped bundle. "I've had my cook prepare some food for you for your travels. By foot, you should get to Kuwagatamushi Mura with some time to spare before nightfall, if you keep a strong pace."

Kagae, Kojiro, Denbe, Miyako, Zanzen, and Hisashi can add 2 days' worth of rations to their sheets (though you may be using 1 day's up immediately without clever rolling).

In addition to any last-minute objectives any of you wish to accomplish, please give me TN 15 Stamina/Athletics Rolls! Your target arrival time is 1 hour before dusk; every player that succeeds beyond the first will reduce the arrival time by 30 minutes. Every player that fails delays the arrival time by 1 hour. Raises can be called for additional successes.

Be mindful which of you still have earth-related penalties.

Another sigh escaped Miyako, it seemed the young man was rather resigned to his mother machinations. If she hadn't felt like she'd lose more from not acting according to the agreement with her father than taking the chance of being pushed into marriage, she might have argued harder. But she knew she could convince her father, if need be, away from that course of action. She was the apple of his eye.

Passing the bottle to the Crab, she drank when she could and only hoped she wouldn't feel it in the morning.

As the party gathered to head out, one of them was particularly late- or ahead of the game?

As all gathered there things to leave the town off on their journey again, the Hare whom had vanished before anyone else had time to rise hurried, panting a little already under the heat, to catch up before they quit the town without him. The early rising had given him time to run to the temple and offer a bit of prayer to his ancestors to watch over him in this important time (what, being his first task as among the Empire's first Jade Warden's and all) he hadn't seemed to rest off the bone deep fatigue from their initial journey.

Or come back in time to catch their host's farewell so he wouldn't feel completely rude and out of place.

"Umm," he looked back and forth at the pleasantries he'd missed, hoping someone had properly thanked their hosts in his absence. Or maybe that his going missing hadn't been noted, perhaps. The Hare had, in a fit of nervousness perhaps not helped by his breakdown the previous night (not followed by any swelling up, fortunately) prayed to every ancestor he could think of, sans the living ones, in sequence; the Scorpion arrived back from his own prayers not long after he did.

At least he had already packed what little he had to go.

Zanzen bowed before leaving, heading off to wait at the inn while waiting on the rest of the group. He left the bamboo poles behind at the Kaiu residence, having no use for them on the road.

Kagae would try to keep as calm as possible almost assuming a robotic routine of drinking. Drinking his drink, waiting for miyako to finish hers, refill cups and repeat until the bottle was empty. Hopefully the sake wasn't that strong...
