"Hanna I know you don't know her well and neither do I. Right now we need to at least talk to her. She may be able to help us. Charlie will be fine here he always has been. No worries Hanna I will put my life on the line to get your brother back." ::Kallman was looking straight into her blue eyes. Kallman saw his reflection in those eyes. His red badana was starting to slip towards his eyes. He carefully tightened it. Then Kallman had an idea. He had no idea how long Hanna would stay with him once her brother was returned to normal. He carefully unwrapped the badanna and handed it to her. "I want you to keep this, just in case."

The huntress started with surprise and let him press the bandana into her hand. In case of what?! she she wanted to ask, but bit it back. Would he truly lay down his life for her brother's humanity? It was a noble gesture, and Hanna shivered when she realized the sincerity of his words.
"I...need to think," she said, looking down at the bandana in her hand. "I'll be back before long, I promise."
Without waiting for a reply, she left both Charlie and Kallman where they stood and slipped away in silence. Even with his sensitive wolf ears, Kallman couldn't hear her go.
It was some time later that Hanna at last knelt beside a clear pool. She draped the bandana across her knee as she cupped her hands together, taking a long drink of the cool liquid. It helped to clear her mind, and she held the banadana again, looking at it while she thought.
Many ideas whirled through her mind, spinning and dancing in and out of focus, but at long last she stood. With careful deliberation she wrapped the cloth around her upper arm, tying the knot with care. Then she turned to face the forest, took a deep, calm breath, and started back to where Kallman and Charlie were waiting.
Time to go and meet the famous Daceria.

::Kallman was stunned by her sudden disappearance but he would not leave without her. Daceria wouldn't have a clue what Kallman was talking about unless Hanna was with him. Kallman had remembered the day he met Daceria. Once on his way to the shop he saw hunters gathered around a wolf girl. Kallman got involved in the fight and took her to his swamp. Then he saw her ears, silver like the moon. Then it hit Kallman like a brick on the head. Kallman had known that the silver wolves were very rare due to the hunters murdering Ace's clan. Ace had been the king. Kallman then noticed that she had long dark brown hair, just like Ace had. "Who are you" he had asked her. She told him she was Daceria and that she was thankful for being rescued and then in a flash she was gone. That was all Kallman found out. Kallman then realized what she had did was magic. Teleporting, it was one skill even he knew but hardly ever used. To use it like that took power. Kallman came back to where he was and looked to Charlie. He went to him and got on his knees in front of the plant. Charlie nudged his head for him to stand. Kallman refused. "Charlie, I know there is a human inside you and I give you not only my word, but my body as well. I will protect you, I will see to it that you and your sister are reunited once more." ::Hanna came rushing up having heard the whole thing and looked straight to the wolf. Kallman stood and went to her. Kallman might just regret what he was about to do. He pulled her close and held her tight in his arms.::

Hanna gasped quietly. Even after everything he'd said, she hadn't expected this! She tried to think what to do and realized that she was holding her breath. She looked up at him, impulsively reaching out to brush the hair from his eyes. She hesitated at the last second, drawing back a little, but then reached out and carefuly swept it aside.

"It's time" ::Kallman lead them carefully through the swamp. As they were walking through the forest Kallman kept looking back to make sure she was following. Then Kallman saw the oak tree. Kallman carefully pulled the branch and a staircase appeared. He yelled down to the tree, "Hey Daceria it's me Kallman can you please come up here." ::Shortly after Daceria appeared before them both. Daceria looked to Kallman then to Hanna then back to Kallman.
"How may I help you?" : biggrin aceria asked as if she knew they wanted something. No one came to her tree just to see her, she was a princess after all, not a normal person and she was a spell caster as well.::

(Yay!)
Hanna stepped forward, cast a galnce at Kallman, then back at Daceria. "I need help," she said quietly. "Can we go somewhere a little more...defensible? I don't like open spaces." She clenched her fists to keep from laying a hand to her knife. As little as she wanted to alarm the only person who might be able to help, she didn't feel safe. The forest was not so dense around the oak tree.

"Sure we can go downstairs and I'll put my barrier up. No human or demons can get through." : biggrin aceria started heading for the tree when the hunters appeared. At least 25 of them. Daceria growled and looked to Hanna. "We must flee."
::Kallman beared his fangs, sharpened his claws and stood in front of the girls.:: "You two get out of here, I'll handle them." ::Suddenly he transformed into wolf form. Daceria took Hanna's hand and they teleported to the swamp. Kallman charged at the hunters. The fight was hard but eventually Keri came down and cast a spell that turned Kallman back to human form. Then the hunters tied his hands behind his back and Kedro came up.
"Who are you and why are you interfering with my capturing the girl?" ::Asked Kedro.
"My name is Kallman and I will not allow any of my kind be captured. And I will always protect the ones I love. He said thinking about Hanna.::
"Then you will pay the price." ::Kedro knocked him out and they handed to the land of the dead. Keri then kissed him with the magical lipstick. "So much for him he was cute." she smiled. "Now let's go get that girl once and for all."

"No!" Hanna shouted as the forest turned into the swamp and Kallman vanaished. "No!" She broke away from Daceria's grasp and looked around helplessly.
The swamp. He would be dead before she could make it back to him.
She bit her tongue to keep from cursing and swung her fist at a tree. She didn't care that her knuckles began to bleed as she struck it again, then kicked it. She vented all of her frustration on it until she couldn't bear the pain.
She pressed her forehead to the cold bark with her palms opened on either side. She stared at the ground and tried to ignore the blood on her hands.
"Why did you take me away?!" she demanded. "I could've done something!"

"The hunters are too dangerous. Plus it was his wish that you were unharmed. That badanna around your arm he gave it to you. It was his life, he never took it off for no one. I know him well if he was captured he will try to escape but if Keri gets to him first he could be..dead." ::Explained Daceria looking at the plant.:: "This is the one?" ::Hanna didn't look at her just kept hitting the tree. Daceria took out her scroll and tried a spell. Suddenly before their eyes a human form appeared in raggy old clothes and blue eyes like the sky.:: "Wow it actually worked!"
"Hanna stop" ::Spoke Charlie taking his sister in his arms.:: "We will go after him together"

"Charlie!" Hanna gasped, throwing her arms around him. It took a second for his words to sink in. "Oh hang it all, Charlie! You're barely clothed! Can you even walk?! You haven't had legs for years!"
For a minute Hanna had forgotten Daceria, but now she turned back and bowed, twisting her hand over her chest and flicking two fingers at the ground. "My thanks," she said, conscious of Charlie repeating the gesture.

"Oh you want me to make clothes?" : biggrin aceria used her magic to dress Charlie in an outfit that made him look like this. (Picture at bottom of post.) "Thank you Mrs. Daceria." ::Charlie said happy to finally be free of his plant body. It had been 10 years since he could walk but he wanted to save the wolf. He knew without that wolf he would not have survived as long as he had. The wolf had saved him and that it was time to return the favor.:: "Okay give me 5 minutes to practice my walking but then were heading for the land of the dead. We must find the wolf boy before it's too late." Note:I gave him green hair since he's been a plant for 10 years and his weapons a bow and arrow. Heh hope you like it. Found it on Photobucket.

(Very dramatic! I like it)
Hanna shook her head in dumbfoundedly. "He's going to get us killed like that. I just hope he hasn't forgotten how to swim."
She looked at Daceria, who watched Charlie practice his walking, and sighed. "What...exactly might we be up against?" Hanna asked, sure that she would not like the answer.
