Laung had been watching the kennels ever since the evening and had seen Selina run out. Slowly he decended the stairs and walked out into the court yard, watching her from a distance. He didn't make a sound as he walked

Selina had pulled the dog against her, trying to keep it warm . . . and trying to keep herself warm as well . . . she didn't even have a blanket . . . and the night only got colder . . . The dog didn't seem as cold as before, but Selina was having a hard time keeping from shivering. She didn't even notice Laung. She was too worried about the cold . . . and the dog.

Laung walked forwards and stepped inside the cage, kneeling down next to Selina. He threw his cloak off and wrapped it around Selina, before waking his dog up "come on boy, time to go" he said as the dog wagged its tail "you can sleep on the bed tonight" he whispered. He then picked Selina up and carried her to his bedroom, laying her gently on the bed. He sat back in a chair and let his dog, Alex, curl up on Selina's feet after Laung had pulled the blanket over Selina

Selina was on the verge of unconsiousness when Laung had entered. So when he picked her up, she didn't stir, thinking it to only be a dream . . . it was a dream that Laung had taken her out of the cage and had taken her to his bed, letting her sleep on it . . . and oddly . . . she believed it to only be a dream . . . Soon enough, she drifted into deeper unconsciousness, having no more dreams that night.

Laung watched Selina as the morning sun was raised from its sleeping slumber and well into the morning skies. It was streaming in over Selina. By the time she would awaken Laung had gone to do this duties but the dog was still there and now was licking Selina's face

Selina giggled a bit as she felt the dog lick her face. "Stop it . . ." she mumbled as she pushed at the dog as she sat up, pushing the blanket off of her. Wait a minute . . . A blanket?! Selina gasped as she sat up, opening her eyes. "So it wasn't a dream?" she mumbled softly, exceedingly confused. The dog nuzzled against Selina's hand, wanting attention. Selina petted it absentmindedly as she looked around the room in wonder. She didn't understand. Why would Laung take care of her like that . . . After the way he treated her yesterday when he gave her the order to sleep in the cage . . . she didn't understand him at all . . .

Laung was returning to his room and step in looking at her, "So your awake now" he said not looking at her but at the papers in his hand. He walked across to his desk and placed the papers on the desk "so you can sign this" he said holding out a quill for Selina.

Selina blinked, completely confused. "What's that?" she asked softly, not knowing what she was going to be signing.

Laung frowned "its papers for your freedom" he said still holding out the quill "now sign!" he said shaking it at her. "You can read it unless you can't even read" he said, Liava had cornered him this morning and pushed him into doing this

Selina's eyes widened considerably and she started to tremble, her hands going down to grip the blanket tightly. "M-my f-freedom?" she asked, her voice breaking slightly as tears welled up in her eyes. She snatched the papers from Laung and started to go over them, reading the papers thouroughly for any sort of trick. When she saw none, her breathing hitched and the tears spilled over as she grabbed the pen and hastily signed her name, hardly able to believe that she was gaining her freedom. Once she was done signing, she looked up at Laung, the tears continuing to pour from her eyes. "Thank you . . ." she whispered softly, her voice showing just how thankful she was for her freedom.

Laung picked up the papers, looking at his own name on the written line "thank Liava" he said softly and then gave them to Selina "she was the one who asked me for your freedom" he said. He couldn't believe it but ... she had the chance to go now ... was he able to ...

Selina scrambled out of the bed and wrapped her arms around Laung, unable to keep the happy feelings to herself. "But you didn't have to . . . Thank you so much . . ." she sobbed out against him.

Laung staggered back, his arms open with surprise and then carefully he wrapped his arm, he hadn’t received or given a hug in many years so this was something, almost new to him “its fine” he said softly. Of course it didn’t feel fine … but Liava somehow managed to hit a weak spot. Pulling himself out of the hug he handed the papers to Selina “go and thank Liava”

Selina smiled as she took the papers. "Thank you!" she said again and rushed out of the room to go find Liava.

Laung watched her go and sighed heavily looking out of the window. He then closed the door slowly, as the dog scampered out of the room following Selina. He sank down next to the bed and pulled the covers around him ... how cowardly was he ... everything hurt inside of him ... everything that shouldn't did plus everything that did normally hurt
Liava was walking about the castle trying to find Selina ... what had Laung done with her? If he had hurt her or not kept to the promise then Liava would kill him slowly ... "Selina!" she called out again
