She smiled again, "Names are simply tools we give other people, or sometimes, tools other people make for themselves. They tend to mean exactly as much as we let them. The fact that you have chosen to give 'Sweet Freak' as the assemblage of sounds you recognize as belonging to you means that you must have some use for a name. Even if it is just to answer the question 'What should I call you?'"

She wrapped her arm around Sweet Freak's conversationally, "You could stop answering the question, but people would make names for you, and inevitably you would probably want to respond to one of those people who called to you using the name they made for you. I think, when you dig all the way down to it, the people who truly have no use for a name, any sort of name (even one like 'Sweet Freak') are the ones who want to make sure they are forgotten.
Which, again I think, is not you. When I see you out and about, you always seem aching to be noticed and remembered, or so it seems. Although you think you are unworthy of such, but it is not for you to decided for other people what they are willing to do for you, yes?
Nor is it up to them to decided what you are willing to do for them. Else this whole anoning thing might never have gotten off the ground.
Any ways and up, I believe you do have some use for a name. At least what a name does."
