"No problem..." laughs Mica wisely. "books of music are not my cup of tea in any way, so it might as well go to someone who'd appreciate it. Now if you please. Help me skim through these volumes. You don't necessarily need to read them through, but scan for protective spells and hidden scripts. Your eyes are sharp. Far sharper than mine. We'll make three piles. One of interest to me... one of interest to Shar... and a discard. If it's drivel... we definitely do not even wish to take up space in the archives with it."

*Kero nods*
On one condition...I get my pick of the drivel, if you're going to get rid of it. Always should be on the lookout for new additions to the library.

"I suppose I could allow that... just remember it will be expensive drivel... the cost of each volume here is well beyond the reach of the average individual." warns Mica picking up a small slendar volume, written in tiny concise script. "Hmmm... this might prove interesting, let's check it out."

Dawnlord Mica, a moment of business before we begin.

Mica looks up at the serious tone of Kerobian's voice. Seeing his eyes, he sighs. "Yes Voidmaster, what do you wish of me?"

Simply to ask you to hold on to whatever books we choose, until we can access our library and funds, that's all.
*Kero drops the seriousness*
Dawnlord, we can't get in right now, but Kero doesn't know that. We are, of course, willing to pay for what he picks, but you will have to wait until Kero turns twenty.

Mica sighs. "The temple doesn't have that much free cash on hand, to extend such a loan. Might he be able to pay through... some of his mining, perhaps? I'll gladly hold the books for him, but pay for them... I'm afraid that I cannot do."

*Kero shakes his head*
You misunderstand me, Mica. I was asking you simply to hold them until he turns Twenty. At that point, we can access our hoard and pay for the books. We merely wish to be certain what we choose stays chosen. We aren't asking you to pay for them for us...not on your life.

"And you, my fine furry mage, have misunderstood my reply. I need to pay for whatever book I keep back from this shipment within the month... not years from now. The sell of a single book here may be what keeps some people from losing their home or helps pay for medical treatment. Not all the books I receive are brought to the dealer by people with nefarious backgrounds, some are carefully culled from some home's personal library in hopes that it might be the means by which the families can survive. Such a thing is not the common source, true, but it has happened often enough that I do not wish to withhold payment. And unfortunately, that is the source of most of the drivel, I fear. A book is cherished long after it's usefulness, merely because Aunt Gertrude once said it was valuable... and it was valuable because she paid a fortune for her favorite novella to be leather bound in paper trimmed in gold leaf." sighs Mica sadly.

*Kero nods*
Very well. Let me confer and see what we can do.

Mica shudders and looks away. "I hate it when he does that..." he mutters under his breath. Then he opens the book and begins to skim it's contents.

*Kero nods*
Very well. I see the best possible solution is for me to simply do this.
*He reaches into the Void and pulls forth a bag of coins*
Good thing Number IV remembered he left his purse in the storeroom after repairing it. There should be a substantial amount here.
*Hands it to Mica*
Will that aid in covering things?
**Given that it's stuffed with platinum coins....**

Mica groans. "Aye... if I can find someone willing to exhange it for the coin of the realm. That is providing the king doesn't decide the temple needs taxing when he hears of it. In all my life I've seen but one of those such coins and that was in the Emperor of Avelon's private collection. Where in the Dawn Lord's name did you come up with all of that?"

From my private stores...I may have some of the currency of this realm in there, if you can wait a few moments.

Mica hands the pouch back relunctantly, thinking of all the good he could do with the money, if only he could get it in the proper coinage. Sighing, he laughs. "This is far too much anyway."
