II Little China DoLL II ... it must be because I'm reading only the partial parts, I was completely lost in the beginning. The expressions went over my head completely xDD;;
However, you caught my interest when you said researched how corpses decompose in salt water~~ o 3o It probably will completely lose you, as it was a direct continuation of the scene I was writing for Day 23. XD I skip around a lot when I write, and I'm aware that what I'm posting doesn't make a whole lot of sense out of sequence. Sorry. sweatdrop Ethereal Phantasmagoria Oh god, the corpses of drowning victims are absolutely disgusting. They initially get all bloated and stuff, and when you find one, it just stinks that much worse D; Apparently in colder water the fat beneath the skin turns to soap! (I will stop now, I promise.)

Ew........... That's rather questionable though D; Soap is created through a reaction between oil/fat and a base [KOH is the common one]. I don't see what sort of base the ocean needs to have to do that D; Not that I would ever even go near enough to check >.>

It's called adipocere. I'm willing to believe my source, as it's university lecture notes for a forensics class. XD (I was originally working on this while making lunch, I had to put it aside to give myself time to eat and played Okami instead. XD Much less gross.)

Quick rant:
I really hate it when stock artists request that you ask them before you post anything created with their stock off of DA. I'm sorry, but the people who don't read your rules aren't going to listen to that anyway, and of the people who do, I bet a decent portion decide that your stock is not worth the effort. I'm not going to note you to tell you that I want to post a sketch that I made using your stock as a pose reference on Gaia and Tumblr. rolleyes I will pass up your stock instead.
At least make an exception for people drawing with your photo as reference. I rarely (if ever) use the faces of the people in the picture, anyway.
Just frustrated because I found about 5 images that are what I want, but they are all from the same stock artist who wants noted before you post an image off-site.
I can be kinda a**l about following rules because I believe that photographers get shafted in copywrite abuse situations... And this includes images used as reference. (See Shepard Fairey and the Obama "Hope" poster) I'm not usually following references as closely as in that case, but I still believe in giving credit and listening to the wishes of the stock photographers.

You can't make your own stock or something like that in this case? I know I avoid looking for stock if I don't have to. Usually, when I do find stock, the photographer lets the people use it freely with credit. I don't see the point of making people note them about it though :

Usually, when I do find stock, the photographer lets the people use it freely with credit. I don't see the point of making people note them about it though : Most stock artists do let people use the stock freely, but there are a couple of major ones who don't. It's just frustrating, that's all. I can take my own photos to an extent... but not completely. If I'm looking for musculature I need to find stock. Both my husband and I work out and we're fairly fit, but we also love food and don't have much definition. XD Certain clothes can be a problem (I specifically wanted a patent leather jacket this time, to practice with the way the light hits the material). If I want something quickly (husband is sleeping). I also am a shitty photographer and my husband is worse. XD Oh, and proportions... I have fairly typical proportions, but my husband does NOT. If I traced over a photo of him, all the anatomy-nazis in PP would tell me that people don't look like that. XD Of course, I can fudge any of those things, and I do. (especially if I'm drawing anything adult) I still wish that the stock artists would just, you know, let people use their stock.

Kai_Chi II Little China DoLL II umm sorry is this a new pic for today or an update for an older one ? : 3 Update of an old one. It was my Day 8 theme.
I picked it again to improve on day 29. Sorry that I was unclear sweatdrop
I figured the reason why it wasn't in the Art Collectors Enrolled was because it was incomplete.

Kitten-Tora Here is one of your request. I'm sorry that I am not finished but I'm starting to nod off. But I'll give you the final version later, probably tomorrow if I wake up early enough. Sorry if the skirt seems a little short & anatomy kinda being fail. I zoned out on the sketch and it came back to bite me for it. sweatdrop I need to stop doing that.
