Tinosku zz1000zz Actually, you can refuse to accept legal tender for payment under most circumstances. In this case i would simply have to sue you and ask the judge to specify what form of payment would be used. You can't refuse Legal Tender. <_<; In many instances, it is a non-issue. For example, a grocery store can refuse to sell you food if you are paying in pennies. Of course, they can refuse you service for almost any reason. For a more formal situation, say a payment ordered by the court (for instance, child support), you are allowed to reject a form of payment. In that case, you can go before a judge and state your case. Generally he will side with you.
