Cafe's are so freaking everywhere.. its scary. Its maddening.
And Pachinko! Everywhere I went there was Pachinko!

@Neit- I wouldn't doubt that it would, but it's nothing compared to walking down the streets hearing people speeking...what basicly sounds like giberish while seeing signs filled with kanji you've never seen before in you life. gonk
yeah, the characters in lucky stars talk one thousand miles a minute, the subtitles can barely keep up with them, and it's FULL of japanese slang o.o;

Sounds like living there my junior year's gonna be FUN. xd

And I completely hate Kanji. For the love of GAWD, WHY?! For what possible function do they keep a system of needlessly complicated and archaic symbols in a language with not one, but TWO syllabic alphabets?

At least it's not Chinese, right? I mean, in Japan, if you're about to die and have had your tongue ripped out, you can at least write "Shindeiru yo!" in kana and people would understand you. In China, Without an intimate knowledge at least 2000 characters you'd be boned....

Hm... China sucks.. makes you wonder how much lead / ink that counrty uses every year to write.

Yeah, I don't like Kanji either. Why can't that just stick with Hiragana and Katakana?! gonk

And Kanji are all chinese characters, they are just spoken differently and mean different things. xp

Maintenant, j'étudie le français pour une version anglaise du Baccalauréat, qui s'appelle "A-level". Alors, je dois pratiquer mon français! scream
Et aussi, je dois étudier un roman français cette année qui s'appelle "La Symphonie Pastorale" qui parait très difficile. L'année derniere, j'ai du étudier un roman qui s'appelle "Bonjour Tristesse" qui me s'est énervé beaucoup neutral

The problem of readability would be solved by simply using SPACES between their words. End of story. The Kanji make reading it faster because they don't use spaces and they have a great deal of homonyms. The homonyms aren't such a big deal because you can use context, but reading a solid line of characters without a direct knowledge of where to put spaces is an issue. The Kanji breaks that up. BUt if you add spaces, you don't really NEED the kanji. It's stupid. sad
