Yes, but Little Chili Lolita Shop also states that the shoes are, most likely cheaper due to, the platform being made of dense foam. Somehow I don't like the idea of walking on dense foam.

The seller you're looking at is selling the same shoes--they're made of foam with a faux wood cover. The auctions even state that this is the case. However, the shoes hold up just fine. I have two pairs of shoes from Ling Lam/Montreal and they both have the very dense foam soles. Nothing's damaged them in the least, not even rain. The reason Ling Lam sells hers for cheaper is that she gets them factory-direct at wholesale prices. The seller you're looking at probably buys them from a Hong Kong retailer and then marks the price up.

If you really want real wood for your soles, you actually are looking at spending much more money than that. Lolita Lola and Double Decker use real wood for their RHS, as does an-ten-na. They cost much more to buy, ship, and also are more prone to flaws and damages. A friend of mine has a pair of shoes from each seller listed above. The Double Decker pair came with a crack in the wood, right down the sole, from having been put together while the wood was still green. The Lolita Lola shoes don't fit one foot because of the fact that they're hand made--they don't all have the same, exact measurements, so her pair is technically mis-matched and can't be worn. The an-ten-na pair is perfectly fine, but cost more than twice what the other two did by themselves.

A user did a review/comparison between Lolita Lola and Montreal on EGL at one point, but I can't find it to give you her personal conclusion on the two brands.

[edit]: I was wrong. The review compared Lolita Lola to Rose Chocolate [a Korean shoe and lolita clothing brand].

...Wow.

Thanks!! I was about to make a big mistake, and I just read through all the page (my impatience previously made me omit that it wasn't real wood).

I'll order from little chili's shop.

Thank you~<3

You're welcome! (:
Most people's rocking horses are from Montreal. The wooden ones are heavy as hell, so shipping costs more or as much as the shoes in the end. They also tend to chip and break quite a bit. Buying a new pair of foam shoes after a few years isn't so pricey. Buying wooden soled shoes, though? Eesh.

The pink cutsew is one I recently bought from Cidsa on EGL. Its amazingly comfortable, though a bit short thanks to my boobs. I'm planning to wear it with the other items in the photo, though I haven't decided on the particular pieces aside from the JSK and the top.

The socks are the ones I bought through the Meta group order a couple of months back, the hairbow and headdress are recent purchases via EGL.

Thank you! biggrin
As Amber has pointed out, the sweet lolitas in my aquaintance are rubbing off. My wardrobe started out black and white with a bit of red, but blues and pinks are creeping in now, too. D'oh.

At least my Apple Print and Windows Print Skirts will balance out the crazy sweet with something a bit more subdued when they get here. <_<;

Honest Dragon China is notorious for their horrible garments. They never manage to get the fit right and often the dress looks nothing like the one they're attempting to replicate. If you want to buy a replica, go with TSSY2005 or Fanplusfriend. Both are far, far more reputable, their quality is much more professional, and they use better materials for their replicas.

I bought this dress last week when I was on vacation in a consignment shop. I'm going to cut off the scratchy tulle on the bottom of the dress sometime today. I don't like it at all. >.< Other than that, the dress looks really cute as a JSK. The only thing is that I have to wear a blouse with it because it's a little low cut.

Whoa! That's an amazing find for a consignment shop. Good job! XD

Seriously!

I always hate buttons on the front like that, though. ><; Every one-piece clothing I had with buttons in the front always popped off. [Read: WOOOOOO TITTIESSSS]

Ha ha ha! When I bought it, one of the buttons had fallen off and was tapped on, so today I sewed it back on as well as cutting off the tulle on the bottom. After I went to try it on and the top button fell off! I ended up sewing that one on and reinforcing the others as well.

I would probably get it altered and have the front sewn up and get a zipper on the side or something. D:>

I was thinking of doing that, but for now I'm going to have to leave it as is.

Edit: Hmmm. I'm not sure if I should alter it at all. If I add a zipper and close up the front, there will be a long seam in the front, and I don't think that would be flattering.
