The spear that Aurelia had chosen was fairly large. Just about the size of her father. Of course, there was no way she could hold this realiably, she even almost fell over trying to hold the damned thing. Her father must have seen this and made some adjustments, cutting off most of the handle until it was a more proper length for somebody of her age. The student gave it a quick few swings around to try it out for herself and was pleased with the results. The shark woman had selected a weapon of her own, some longer polearm with sound kind of blade on it. It wasn't like any type of spear she had ever seen. [1/3]
"I'm Mako and I'll spar you any time you'd like, Akasame."
"I'm Aurelia. It's a pleasure to meet you." The girl said to the sharky woman. She continued twirling around her soear like her father had done numerous times, an emulation of his style but without knowing the instructions and outs of what made it collectively tick. Instead, Aurelia nearly smacked herself in the face with the hilt of her spear. [2/3]
Now managing to more carefully hold her spear after being moved to a more suitable room for their training, Aurelia would practice the motions that her mother had taught her long ago. She kept both hands in a fixed position, keeping the spear low. This was so that, as her father said, she could raise it to any angle and strike that way. All in all, not a bad training session. During this time of remembering her mother, Aurelia had a faint sad look on her face. She missed her dearly. [3/3 l Homework Completed!]
While the woman would be getting ready, Aurelia decided to try her hand at getting more familiar with her scorch chakra. She felt a warmth on her head, her father splitting into a clone and then proceeding to go elsewhere. Her hands came together and began to create the scorch chakra that her father had taught her since she was younger and continue to hold it. A few fireballs came into being and she had them dance around her small frame. [1/2]
Aurelia had the fireball grow larger and larger, smaller ones being fused into it until it was decent size, maybe the same as a desk. She then would focus on breaking it into smaller ones. The ball of flame and wind chakra would split once, then twice, three times and then four. Each ball slower lessening in size until all that was left was a splinter of what was once a larger orb. Content with her practice, she called the technique off. Aurelia smiled back at her father's clone. [2/2 l Practical Work Completed]
"Mako, I hereby declare us rivals. Shall we participate in a friendly spar?" She called to her fishy friend? It was a little funny that a girl probably twice her age was being declared a rival but Aurelia didn't think anything less of it. All was fair in this world. She had learned that the hard way.

SHIONxxxxxMORI To say Shion's entrance into the meditation chambers of the academy was noticeable would be an understatement. The rocking of the door being slammed open would immediately be followed by several heavy footsteps, each punctuated by a flash of heat and quick spark of blueish-black flames. With little care for those immediately around her, Shion would storm her way into her own little corner of the room and drop into a seated stance. After a few moments, the girl began to steady her breathing in an attempt to calm her nerves, but this would prove to little effect.
Her intent was to contact the Nibi, the demon dwelling within her body; this would, however, prove as fruitless as every other attempt. She hadnt actually even managed to speak to the beast since it was initially sealed within her, but it did more than its job at making its presence known. While not sending her into a lethargic spiral that nearly drained every ounce of energy she had, the beast was wracking her with migraines and aches of all sorts, and it was starting to take its toll. Shion had always been a little hot-tempered and rash, but now her angst was turning into rage. She knew how dangerous this could be, so she set out to hopefully strike up a deal with the beast to at least pacify its vindictive attacks on her body.
As was previously stated though, all of this would be for nothing. After several minutes of... mostly quiet... introspection, Shion failed to contact the Nibi once again. Her anger boiled to the surface once again, erupting from her hands in the form of a radial blast of black-blue fire; the noise of the explosion being the only thing to block out her angered scream. Her breathing became ragged and heavy once again as she stood to her feet. There she would stand, softly illuminated by the dwindling sparks leftover from her outburst.
Belamos sat cross-legged on the mat, viewing the village below him with his new Golden Eyes. He could see the ambient chakra of the world- a dull green that pulsated and flowed. The living world...definite proof that they were all connected through chakra to one another. It had a will of its own, an all-powerful force that permeated every living thing in this world. It was, in all honesty, quite beautiful. However, the peaceful feeling was disturbed. He could see turmoil and anger approaching him- a powerful uneasy feeling accompanying another demon. He could not tell which for the source of the chakra was deeply sealed, but the signature of an approaching Jinchuriki was unmistakable. Belamos kept his position on the mat despite the potential danger; seemingly in meditation but very accutely aware of what was going on due to Son Goku
When the door burst open, Belamos twitched but otherwise made no move to indicate his fear nor surprise. The heat nor the flames had any effect on him- Belamos was flame incarnate after all. "Blue Flames, Belamos...that's the Two Tails" Indeed it was so. Now that the source was closer, and with the Yonbi's help, Belamos could feel the wild cat pulling against the bonds it was forced into. Expanding his senses, he delved into the mind of the mysterious Kunoichi in the room with him. An experienced Jinchuriki would undoubtedly be able to detect the mental intrusion...but her? She would probably not realize he was there with all the mental annoyance she currently seemed to be suffering from.
As the minutes passed Belamos was able to tell what she was trying to do- make the most basic form of contact with the Nibi. It seemed to be giving her great difficulty. He could feel her frustration growing, and in turn, the resentment of the demon rose in connection. When it finally came to a head, the anger she felt was palpable. The woman stood up, seemingly unintentionally releasing a wave of blue-black flames into the meditation chamber. Belamos, simply, raised a hand in response. While the flames spread out, they bent, twisted, and collected into a point near him- compressing until the fire seemed to wink out of existence.
The Konin opened his eyes now, staring at Shion with red pupils ringed in gold "You won't give far like that, girl" Suddenly the world around them shifted and faded- like a watercolor painting being wiped away and replaced with a blank canvas. They stood in a white void. A vast nothingness expanded in every direction. Belamos remained seated while Shion, no doubt confused, stood nearby raggedly breathing due to anger. At this point the Sun King stood, placing his hands in his pockets and looking around "I'm Belamos...and I think I can help you"
SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion was not in the mood to be dealing with people right now, she was not in the mood to be lectured at, and she certainly was not in the mood to be talked down to like some child. Her fists would slam shut, releasing two small blasts of nibi chakra-laced bakuton; it was a quirk of hers from even before the cat was put into her. Shion had a way of stumbling into awesome powers and she always had a way of bringing them to bare; this was no exception.
Shion would turn to face the man addressing her, revealing a pair of glowing eyes. One a pale yellow, the other a vivid green, and both a clear sign that she had entered the first stage of her demonic cloak. She'd scan the surrounding area, taking a quick note of the immediate change in scenery. "Genjutsu? Must be. Coward," she'd think to herself as the man introduced himself. Belemos; it was a name she'd heard a few times in passing. Some rogue with a heart of gold and an ego the size of the sun. Of course a rogue would resort to illusions. Through a half-lidded stare, Shion would glare at the man as she addressed his offer. "Help yourself and get bent, boy," she sneered, mimicking the man's earlier tone.

Mako followed the two down the hall to another training area, her heavy footsteps in line with the pitter patter of Aurelia's own lighter steps. When they arrived in the training hall, Belamos created a shadow clone to oversee their training. Wanting to get acquainted with her weapon of choice, Mako moved away from the two.
Having lived in a fishing village, Mako was familiar with the long oars that were used to help guide the boats. The guan dao was not too dissimilar, the length of the pole was roughly the same height of her torso. The wide blade, was designed for more of a slashing motion than a thrust as the spear Aurelia had chosen was. However with sufficient force, the sharpened tip could still be use to thrust with devastating effectiveness.
Mako stretched out her back and shoulders and let the shaft of the guan dao roll along her shoulder blades. As Belamos had said regarding the shorter polearms that they had chosen, the guan dao and spear were mid-ranged weapons used to keep an opponent at distance. The heavier blade at the end of Mako's weapon let her build up a greater momentum as it lacked a heavy counterbalance.
Taking a hold of the shaft, she let its base rest upon the floor. Kicking the end, she spun the weapon around and gripped near the head of the blade. Mako thrust forward before withdrawing. While pulling it back, she let the head fall low and by rotating the base forward, she brought the blade back up to crash down on the invisible target.
Widening her grip, she blocked outwards towards her left. Spinning the shaft in place, she reversed the blade and spun the whole weapon backwards in an upwards slash. The base swung under her arm and around her neck, where Mako griped it. Stepping forward with her left foot, Mako swung the guan dao around her head while reversing it so the blade slashed out in a decapitating motion.
Feeling a little more comfortable with her weapon of choice, she glanced over to see how Akasame was doing. While the little girl worked with a little more finesse, Mako noted that her father had trimmed the length of the shaft. While it made it so Aurelia could easily wield the spear it also shortened its over all length. Mako was sure she would have the reach advantage and general strength as well.
However, the longer Mako watched, the more she observed Aurelia's technique. It was certainly designed for a spear with its concentration on thrusts, but the lighter end also made the weapon sway more. its whipping motion allowed it to almost weave its away around an opposing force.
Mako focused back in on her own training for the next few moments. When suddenly she heard a small voice call out her name. Glancing over to Aurelia she just caught her declaration in time. Turning to face the child, Mako replied, "A spar so soon, Akasame? Very well, I'll oblige."
Her black eyes shifted over to the Belamos clone, "With your permission, of course." She almost growled through her teeth. Her anger towards him still hadn't abated, but his daughter had impressed her. She would abide as long as it proved interesting.

The words of the woman, and the attitude they carried echoed in the void in which they currently stood. Shifting his attention back to her he took a deep breath in- inhaling through his nose and exhaling between pursed lips. 'No,No. It's alright. She's just...not in control' Or at least that was the rationalization he gave himself in order to keep his temper in check. He was new to the whole 'being a better person' thing and it seemed like this woman was going to push him. Best to n** this in the bud right now. A deep, booming voice from a source yet unidentified would roll out from across the land like thunder above a plain
'Can I?'
Belamos chuckled but otherwise remained focused on Shion "You may" As he said the words lava began to pour out from the ground behind himself, rising and coalescing into full detail until, at last, the entirety of the Yonbi formed behind him. The Monkey King leaned down, placing his chin nearly onto the ground and casting two larges eyes onto Shion
"Hmm..." He spoke allowed, that same deep voice reverberating from his barrel chest "You're a small one- no wonder Matatabi is so angry! He's got nowhere to stretch his legs" He straightened himself back up to his full height, waiting to see what happened next. It was obvious neither the Yonbi nor Belamos feared the girl nor her little explosions. It wasn't as if they were even real to begin with- this was all transpiring in their heads!
Despite this, Belamos crossed his arms- obviously not amused by the threats "Look, I'm trying to be...nicer, alright? And I can tell you are new to the whole Jinchuriki thing, so, do you want the help or not?" A little curt, perhaps bordering on rude, but still leaues better than he was used to being. The fact that Shion was even still concious was testament to his drive to become a more calm and peaceful person. Still, old habits died hard.
The clone, meanwhile, merely gestured to Mako and Aurelia to proceed. He was keenly invested in the outcome of this. He wasn't expecting much, but then again he would love to be dissapointed.
SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion's hand shot to the side of her head and her jaw tightened as another twang of pain raced through her head. An audible groan escaped her lips, much to the girl's dismay. She'd really hoped not to show any hints of weakness to her would-be attacker, but looks like that couldnt be avoided now. The only thing keeping her mind off the immediate idea of lashing out at Belemos was the sudden appearance of a large, four-tailed ape. Hmm, large beast with multiple tails? Maybe this guy was like her... or maybe it was another illusion. You cant trust rogues; it's in their nature to deceive others to benefit themselves.
The way the beast spoke about her only drove Shion further into the embrace of rage. Girl. Little. Would they stop talking to her like a damn child? The girl's hand slowly lowered from the side of her head as inky black-blue flames poured over her body, forming into a single tailed cloak. Belemos, being a fully mastered host would be able to tell this was all of her own volition and not a result of the girl losing control; clearly she had been making progress in training on her own.
Shion's glowing eyes pierced through the veil of dark flames surrounding her body and right into Belemos. Her mouth opened to reply, creating an opening in the shape of eerily large grin in the flames around her mouth. "Will you just spit it out already?" She snapped midway through his statement. It was clear from her demeanor that the headache was only getting worse, now taking an even greater toll on per patience. "How are you gonna help? Huh? Keep insulting me? Cause I'll let you in on a little secret... it's not working!"
As a full tailed cloak formed, Belamos cocked an eyebrow at the newest development. So, it appeared she had at least a modicum of control over the beast. Interesting. The Konin shifted his weight and gave the girl a long look before taking his hands out of his pockets at last. Perhaps letting her blow off some steam would be beneficial? If it came to it, he was confident he could best her...but without hurting her? Now that would be a challenge. Best to keep things calm until there was no other route to take "You have the two tailed demon sealed into you. I have the four tailed. The Twins have the eight tailed. We are all alike, us three. You need to learn how to work with the Nibi...for starters, why don't you try talking with it" If she rejected him here, fought back as she continued to do, he doubted there would be much more helping her. He had helped Sandayu control his demon now Shion would also learn the ability. Just as well, with the knowledge of the Two Tails' Host, Belamos had personally encountered every demon save the five-tails and the one tailed. An interesting bit of knowledge to be sure

Aurelia was confused by the name that the woman seemed to continue to call her but she would allow it. Seeing as how she had gotten on good terms with Mako, she assumed that it was something nice. If not, there was always another chance to correct her nicknaming process. They looked to her father who had already given his approval for their upcoming spar. Aurelia was a little excited for her first ever fight. She turned to face Mako again and began. Her spar was held with both hands, pointed at a directional angle at the floor as her father had instructed previously. Aurelia hesitated but came towards Mako with her spear drawn, raising to to take a shot at thrusting at her side.

Mako laughed as the red head charged forward. She hesitated for a moment which gave Mako the time to bring her Guandao around from behind her back. Aurelia thrust and Mako met it with a swing of her blade. Rotating the shaft, she turned the edge upwards and raised the head in a swift stroke. If Aurelia wasn't cautious with her forward momentum it would be a rough day for the both of them.

You are able to discover the type of technique that is about to be active (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, etc.), even specifics such as Bloodline type and rank. At body ranks D and C users of this discipline able to sense their enemy’s ninjutsu attacks and their composition, which grants a -1 rank deduction to dodging with the dodge mechanic X-ranked skill if you know the technique that was used. With some time passing a Raven haired girl entered the doors of the academy. Returning to finish what she was tasked to do by the police captain Kenshin. Freya's orbs glanced about in their dormant state. Before the sudden evacuation the Uchiha was speaking to Kagerou about becoming an official shinobi of the village. If she could find Kagerou not busy that would be great! The thought lingering in her head as strides moved her through the building; a sudden explosion alarming the Uchiha. Emerald hues being dyed in crimson her sharingan darted in the direction of the loud boom, her hand gripped her blade and her pace halted. Her nerves set ablaze not knowing what was bout to happen next. A moment passes and then another with nothing following. Eyes sharpening at the direction the loud sound came from, she'd eye a particular door. One that lead to the meditation chamber.
Training? The thought passed through her mind as her hand lowered from her great sword. Approaching the door slowly she'd only crack it open while two ruby lenses peered in. A huge man and a girl could be seen siting and meditating. Though her sharingan wasn't fully developed she could still see something dangerous was going on here. The girl expression painful with her chakra control all a mess, she'd seem to get worse every moment. Her chakra entangled with another's Freya knew what was going on here. Being one in a thousand years to be able to wield Uzamaki bloodline techniques from blood buried deep in her Uchiha main branch, she'd frown and keep watching. Was the man trying to help the woman suppress her demon? If this kept going no mater what kind of link they were sharing would be broken soon and the the demon inside would rampage.

Mako back peddled from the thrust to create distance. Her guandao resting in her right palm and against the back of her arm. She spun it around and caught the edge of the shaft. Mako struck back, cutting down from the top right to the lower left in a diagonal strike.

Belamos's clone watched the exchange between Aurelia and Mako with great interest. Of course, he wanted his daughter to win, but he also wanted her to be properly challenged. While he training was of paramount importance to him he would not always be around to oversee it- he needed to instill in her the discipline to rise to ever higher goals. A good way to do that was by finding a rival...a role that this Mako girl may play adeptly. Regardless of the outcome, Belamos would not allow injuries to befall either student. Should the get too serious he would step in and end the match
Meanwhile, the real Belamos continued his mental conversation with the woman. While this all happened unseen and unheard, Belamos remained acutely aware of the real world around him. When the door cracked open, he was hardly caught unaware. Looking over his shoulder, one Golden Eye met the gaze of the two Crimson that stared back at him 'Sharingan' He thought to himself. Belamos spoke out to the newcomer "Are you here to join me?" He asked solumnly.
It was lilely Shion, a new initiate to the Jinchuriki ways, would be so engrossed in the mental construct Belamos had brought her into that her real body would not even register the audible noise the real Belamos had just made. No, he suspected she would be much too focused on both the pain of the Nibi and the stress of containing it within herself. This left him free to addres the younger Shinobi while also helping Shion inside of his mind.
Something took Sheva off guard with the sudden appearance of people in the Academy, she thought that this would be a good time to test the progression of her training in her sensory techniques. She used a one handed seal and placed her hand on the wall, her chakra surged through the wall and she was able to have a semi-clear picture of what was going on in the next room. There were three people in the room next to her and one was exceedingly powerful. She began to hone in on the strongest one, there was something different about him then the rest of the shinobi. She continued to pick up a duel chakra nature from him, it felt like the massive chakra presence that she felt earlier only contained. She removed her hand and poked her head out of the room to have an actual look at the shinobi.
