Scarlet stopped the shock and then got closer. She kissed his chest. "Are you going to behave?" she asked.

"Only... if... you... leave..." grunted Verde through his pain. He knew he couldn't take another shock or he would go unconscious, or worse, die.

Scarlet grabbed his collar and threw him onto his bed. She put the shock on 6.

Verde could not have prepared for it. When the shock at last subsided, he was unconscious on his bed. There was a slight smell of charred flesh.

Scarlet left the room and went to her room. She was furious.

Verde awoke in the middle of the day after. His body was still sore. A slave woman walked into the room and began to put salve on his burns.

Scarlet laid in bed still irrated from last night.

The slave woman smiled down at him. "Glad to see you're awake! Not many would be able to awaken so soon after being shocked that many times!" she said with a smile on her face.
"Who... are-?" rasped Verde, breaking into a coughing fit.
"Shhh! Don't try and talk, your throat will be a little dry, so here is some water." the woman said gently. "I am Aquina." she informed.
That name! It was one of the names used by his people! Was she one of them?

"Are... you...?" attempted Verde, starting to cough again.
"Please, it doesn't help you to talk. Rest and relax, no one is going to make you work until you're healed fully." said the woman, adjusting the blankets of the bed so that Verde could be warm. Smiling at him, she left the room.

Verde moved his arms. Aside from his body being sore, he didn't feel any serious pain. He got out of the bed and stood up. He would not be weak and lie here. He would go work.
