Sayomi looked up, clearly interested in Willow's find. She stood, staggering at the alcohol in her system and the weight of her wings. The feathery appendages flared to stabilize her. She picked her way through the maze of chairs and tables to Willow's location. Her downward gaze proved her embarrassment over her near-fall.
"What... Did you find?" She murmured, glancing at the article.

The half-angel leaned closer to the articles, her fingers brushing the paper. Her mind ticked, adding this new information to the mass of scattered puzzle pieces of the situation.
"When's it dated?" She asked, casting a swift glance at the door. She looked again at the paper. "What makes you so sure this article has anything to do with..." she indicated to the door. "that, thing?"

Bartheyamus sat shirtless, his muscular body dimly lit by the serenading candlelight. He moved his arms fluidly but in a way that they appeared to be pushing a great weight. His breathing was slow and controlled which allowed him to clear his mind. Things like this were a daily habit for him. He was a deeply spiritual person but he figured that part was best kept a secret. The reputation of his vampirism served him well in most places where no one seemed to bother him. If many started to notice how fiercely his still clung to his human morals and habits, he wasn't so sure that loneliness would be available to him. The candles were arranged in a circle and seemed to flicker in unison with his bodily movements. As he pushed this invisible weight, he felt the tingling power of energy consuming his fingertips and growing larger with each subsequent movement. He visualized the chakric lines of energy linking with one another to form a line of unmovable, yet flexible barriers. As he delved deeper into meditation, he could start to see every detail of the room without opening his eyes. This was his third eye opening, the most deep state of spiritual meditation. He wondered that if he could harness this third eye if he could see even in the darkest of darknesses and perhaps in time, see the auras of others. He remembered an old saying that pertained to that:
"Master yourself before you master others..."
King Valeriu, such a wonderful man. How could he ever get over the grief of his death? And with that thought, he meditation broke as he wept upon the floor still in his ring of candlelight. These were not tears of sorrow this time, but tears of joy. Now it seemed he was putting his teachings to use, he had motivation. He wanted these people to stay with him, stay alive. He lay upon the floor for quite awhile weeping quietly to himself.

Willow frowned. "There's a hole where the date should be. I don't know when it's from." she looked over to the picture of the burning woman. "I have no idea how these two things are linked; I don't really know if this article relates to what we're looking for, but it's the only article that stood out. The rest are about bar fights and such."

"hmm too bad the dates missing but there might be a link to this and your picture like you said, maybe we should investigate the town before it gets dark" Suwako suggested

Willow nodded, "Yes, I suppose that's a pretty good idea, but who says we'll find anything? We don't know when the date of that article was, so the whole mission could be pointless."

"it's the only lead we have, maybe we can uncover something" Suwako replied she thought about it as she talked it's true this could lead to a dead end but she'd have to risk it at some point

Sayomi clenched her fists and unclenched them, thinking intently. A hole... No date. She gazed blankly at the article, seeing possibilities instead of paper. Finally her lavender eyes locked onto Willow, a hint of suspicion flaring within their depths.
"How do you know these two things are linked?" Her voice was not hostile, rather light and curious. "Is it a feeling? A flicker of a memory? How do you know this man is connected with that burning woman, or the happenings of the forest?" She questioned. Sayomi strummed her fingers against the wood of the table. Was she asking the right questions? The vampire might have a better idea. He had seemed intelligent. She frowned slightly. Where was he when they needed him?

Bartheyamus sensed the two leave. He thought that he should perhaps go after them but after the last few stunts he pulled with his anger, he didn't think it wise. He went to the washroom and filled a barrel full of water and powdered cleaner that he bought from a roving merchant back in Denmark. He took his cape, shirt, and pants and delicately washed it, rubbing it against a washboard. The delicate scratching noise of the clothes hitting the board was relaxing to say the least. He then, for the first time in a long while, got to bathe in something other than a stream. Placing his hands in the porcelain tub, he uttered a few command words to heat the porcelain to the desired temperature and filled it with water. Steam filled the room as he relaxed, dozing off for a few moments.

Willow quickly explained what happened to rachel. "I hope you'll come to blackthorn hollow with us, to look for clues."
then she looked to Sayomi, "I don't know if their linked. It's just a hunch."

Cyra leaned back in the chair, halfway listening to the conversation, her thoughts were elsewhere, although she wasn't even sure where. Suddenly snapping out of her trance she glanced at the others, "Looking around in the town? Think a bloodhound would find anything of use?"
