i'm actually taking a weekend off. i think part of my problem is the amount of overtime i've been working coupled with the morons i've been stuck with. i've talked to my boss and told him that i don't think the new guy is working out. he begged me to give the guy a week to redeem himself then if he doesn't grasp the concept, he's gone and they'll do their best to get someone competent to work with me. but for now, i think i need to take a couple days to relax and cuddle up with my fiancee.

well, today was a disaster. i was at my friend's wedding rehearsal. i'm the best man. and since we're all wiccans, it's a hand fasting ceremony. everything went fine, perfect in fact. the entire rehearsal went off without a hitch. then there was the dinner which was excellent. then the drama hit like an atomic bomb. it seems the groom, whose entire family is christian, got a phone call from his sister, whose daughters were supposed to be the flower girls. she told him that she didn't want her kids participating in the ceremony because it was against their religion. this totally threw the maid of honor into a completely pissed off frenzy. and the bride totally broke down. it took me, my friend, and my fiancee about 4 hours to try and calm everyone down. once things settled, and rational thought came back to everyone, i got congradulated on being so level-headed. so, in need of a flower girl to dress up as a faery, i need to convince my ex to let our 5 year old daughter participate in a ceremony. this will probably be easier said than done because my ex is completely against wicca, or any other religion aside from christianity. after all, that was the biggest problem in my relationship with her. she kept trying to convert me back to it. so... we'll see how all this goes. and hopefully i will be able to get pics from the wedding. a rare site indeed... me wearing something other than blue jeans and a t-shirt...

it's odd... halloween is my favorite holiday and i've done nothing for it. no costume or anything. i was invited to a party on saturday that i didn't attend because i just didn't have a costume.this is horrible.
