Tam chuckles with wry amusement. "Kero I told you yesterday three days and you can leave the house... and Shar has told you that until you can walk to and from the temple without getting winded you are not to return. So you tell me when you will start? Wait... I have an idea... Hope, how long does that venom of yours last? When will it start wearing off?"

Depends on how big I make the dose...the one he's got should last him eight hours....and it's as large as I can go without causing pain...

It should wear off in about...half an hour, or so...maybe an hour...

Tam begins to clear off the table with a nod. "Very well, don't give him anymore tonight. I'm going to wear him out on purpose. He's out of danger now, Shar said so herself. But I know for a fact he's still far weaker than he thinks he is. That venom of your is giving him a false sense of security."
Then he turns to Kero and suggests they get the kitchen cleaned up and go over his music in the meantime. "I want to hear you play it start to finish, if you make a mistake, keep going, don't stop. You won't be able to do that during a service. OK?"

Tam is elbow deep in sudsy water. "Nice, Taro... now the pipe piece... please..." He wiped the sweat from his forehead and leaves a streak of suds running through his hair but doesn't seem to notice it.

Tam dries his hands on the apron he is wearing and comes over to see what the matter could be. "Show me how you are fingering the notes. Yer claws really shouldn't matter here." He watches in silence for a bit then nods. Ah, that's it. You need to use the pads of yer paws a bit more... like this and morphing one hand into a fox's paw, he shows Kero how to finger the notes with a bit more accuracy.

They swear to vent frustration, to show anger, to insult and yes... strange as it sounds to show affection. It's crazy, I know but people do it. It is like when Hope and I insult each other.
