Tam shakes his head. "No, not all things done, which are wrong, are done out of mischief or malice. I am certain your reasoning is sound. I'm just wondering where all this is going to lead us, that's all. With Kero it never seems to end." The he chuckles ruefully. "I guess I was never really cut out to be a parent. But I'm doing my best, Hope. And he is such a dear. I love him truly as though he was my own."

"So, you left the gem with him, right? I have an idea, a way he can kind of keep you with him when you're not. How good are you at metal crafting? I'm a fair hand but it would mean more coming from you. A circlet or an armlet with it at it's center, I'd say a pendant, but he already wears mine, the one I gave him as an adult and rarely takes it off except to bathe." He thinks for a bit and nods. "The stone's not over large. If you keep it simple, no one will think it odd of him to wear one. They will think he is merely attempting to emulate his former caregiver. Too fancy and he'll be the target of thieves."

Tam nods and agrees. "Might work better actually. Then we wouldn't have to worry about him losing it. Thanks, Hope. I'm sure it will make him feel a little better when you go back... and we both know that is going to happen. I'm not so sure he does though. He's still young enough to be a live for the moment individual. He thinks in past present and future, but his emotions are all in the "now". Perhaps that is why he's always getting in trouble. The emotion side is still rather dominant. He hasn't learned how to control them very well."

"Like hell it will... stop it, Hope. I'm not going to do that no matter how much I'm pushed. He is past that stage." So... how do you want your fish, I'm going over to the market to buy a few trout... if the monger has any left that is... It is getting rather late and he'll be closing shop soon."

Tam growls deep in his throat, startling a neighbor passing by and rolls his eyes at the way the person scurries out of his way. Chuckling softly to himself, he stomps into the town square seeking the fish monger who often times has a small tent off to one side. To his surprise the man still has fish... no trout as he had hoped, but several large bass, still alive, swimming in the large wooden tank he uses to hold his catch during the day. As they are all that remains of the man's wares, he buys them all and waits patiently while he scoops them out and cleans them on the spot. Then taking his package he go to the herbalist and buys several packets of freshly cut herbs. Sighing, wishing Bez hadn't got so creative. Tam trudges back home, wondering what he will find when he gets there. Life with the cub was anything but boring and that is why he enjoyed it so much, but it also had a down side. He never really knew what was going to happen from one moment to the next.

Tam picks himself up, brushes off his pants and looks at whatever it was that tripped him.

Tam sighs and dismantles the trap, then joins the cub in the kitchen. You're lucky I didn't break my neck. Was that why you were watching, to make sure I didn't fall the wrong way?"
