Tam picks him up and carries him inside. "Out of the way, rug..." he growls good naturedly at the white lion who is plopped down in the sun right inside the door. "This kid isn't getting any lighter ye know."

Tam carries him to his room and tucks him in, then kisses him on the forehead. May the angels guard yer dreams, little one, while the stars in the heavens guide yer way. Sleep as long as you wish, Taro. We'll work on your music some more when you get up." He ruffles Kero's fur and goes out into the main room shutting the door quietly behind him.

*Kero sleeps through the afternoon, waking to Hopian standing by his bed, holding a small crystal and eying Kero suspiciously*
Kiddo...this opal was in my pack when I last visited you guys...and when I left, it wasn't...did you take it?

Tam looks into the room. "Oh, he's up. I'll start dinner." Then he pauses and gives the two d. miners' an odd look. "Is something wrong?"

"No reason... none what so ever." says Tam quietly in a sad tired voice. When Kero again shakes his head he turns and leaves the room. "Hope, it was your gem and you found it. I'll let you handle it this time." and he goes to make dinner, but there is a heaviness in his step that shows he's been severely disappointed.

Tam nods but the sadness he feels doesn't dissipate in the least. "He only had to ask" he says at last. I have two such gems to me name and you've given me both of them. I would have shared." He looks up with a lopsided grin. "I don't really need them to reach ye, ye know."
