*Hopian nods, and transforms, curling up in a patch of sunlight*

Tam decides it is time to teach the cub the music he will need to play for the temple services and tells him to fetch his instruments.

Tam starts to ask him where is harp is, then bites his tongue. Telling the cub to warm up, he climbs to his room and fetches the repaired harp. Hiding it behind his back, he walks up to where Kero is sitting and places it before him without a word.

Tam hugs him back and tell him to wait there while he fetches the music. The morning greeting is a rather light airy piece, designed to ease the listener into a sense of peaceful meditation. Lauds is more somber and although it appears on first glance to be harder, Tam shows him how in truth is is far easier to play than it looks.
"Follow the priests' lead in this one, dear heart. They've been chanting this since they were babe's in their mothers' womb most likely. But you'll need the harp for it, I fear. The pipe simply won't do."

Tam kneels behind him and reaching around him, guides his paws through the passage. Then without moving he pulls his hands away and requests the cub attempt it on his own once again, watching him closely to see where the problem might lie.

Tam looks at his claws and realizes they are too long. "Kero, I've told you, haven't I that you will need to keep them shorter to play the strings?" He asks in confusion. "A harpist cannot grow them to such ungodly lengths. Sharpen them by all means, but shorten the length before you do so. I suspect that may be your problem and if it is not, we will work it through, but whatever you do, never ever throw that harp again. The problem most likely lies with you, not it. It is but a glorified tool in your hands, used to move the music that is here and here..." he points to the cub's head and then his heart, then moves his finger to his own ear, "to the ear of the listener."

*Kero nods, chastened, and retrieves it, then solves the problem by simply biting off his claw to the proper length*

Tam shakes his head and hands him a sturdy metal file to smooth them down. Over from his vantage point in the sun, Hopian gives a sarcastic chuckle, but says nothing. He really doesn't have to.

Tam blushes beet red and darts for the garden, leaving Hopian to deal with his brother. Once there he finds more gifts left by Bez the night before. Startled, he sees the entire bed has been replanted with all sorts of rare blooming plants, most of which he cannot even begin to identify. He falls to knees on the ground laughing hysterically.

*It sounds like Hopian is reading Kero the riot act...which he is...berating the cub for calling him that, and threatening him with a three day time out if he does it again*
