i don't mean to be mean, but most of the things in this thread are tacky oneliners, obnoxious attempts at 'wisdom', and bullshit wordplay passed as understanding.
i'll be the first to admit that i quote people all the time. music, books, holy texts, and what not, even the occasional lecture, but goddamn. like i said, i'm absolutely no better, but doesn't anyone else feel the dirt and kitsche just suffocating us here?

Milk and Holy Water i don't mean to be mean, but most of the things in this thread are tacky oneliners, obnoxious attempts at 'wisdom', and bullshit wordplay passed as understanding. i'll be the first to admit that i quote people all the time. music, books, holy texts, and what not, even the occasional lecture, but goddamn. like i said, i'm absolutely no better, but doesn't anyone else feel the dirt and kitsche just suffocating us here? It's very true... but then again, those may be the very reasons that people *like* them. *shrug* It's asking for "favorite quotes", not "quotes to change the world"... smile
