Rose's portal opened up near the festival.X walked out and saw the glowing roses.
"These are strange." she said kneeling down to one, she touched it, the darkness around her disappeared when she had touched it, but came back as soon as she let it go,.

Reiko grinned. "It's quite sad. Your daughter puts on such a strong face. But deep inside, she's just a scared little girl. All because you let her turn into this." She said, placing a hand on her mother's cheek. "Before I end your life, why don't you go ahead and tell your daughter goodbye." Shadow Reiko continued to frown, though her words betrayed her body's emotion. "You are foolish, just like the rest of those with hearts." She said pointing one of her weaponized hands at Eric. "I'll make sure your body shall be used to raze this world again." She said before rushing towards Eric, thrusting her arm out at him. Alex nodded, remembering a few sights. "Yep! Just like old times! I wonder if Mom and Dad are here."

"a mother would do anything for her child to keep her safe." Reiko's mother said, but unable to say much more. Eric caught the attack barely, he felt the immense darkness immediately calling to his own darkness. "no. You are wrong." he said now fighting his own personal demons inside himself, as well as Shadow Reiko. He twisted her arm, his light starting to spread into Shadow Reiko, in a attempt to hopefully overwhelm the shadow and to help Reiko. He grew his signature blue rose from his hand, it glew with light magic, not only that, heart magic. It cut off the shadow from the keyhole. Alex's mother runs to him "Alex! You've come home!" she said excited and then hugging him when she was close enough Then she saw X "oh....you brought her." "i'll be good, I promise!" X said.Alex's mother sighed and nodded "I suppose its only my motherly instinct to keep my son away from you, from what you did the last time, demon." Rose nodded
"it is, but in case if anything happens, I can stop X if need be."

"And you did such a poor job-" Reiko suddenly held her head, both voices in her head fghting for control as she crumbled to the ground. "(G-Get...out....Mother...)" She grunted at the woman, gritting her teeth. Dark Reiko had her twisted arm covered in light, though now the other arm came to stab at Eric. "No!" The shadow infecting the keyhole was cuted off, Dark Reiko growling and trying to overpower Eric. "Mom!" Alex said, hugging his mother as she came back to him and then looking towards the group. "We came here for the festival, Mom! I was hoping maybe we could celebrate with your and Dad."

Reiko's mother nodded "fight the darkness my precious Reiko" she said and left. The other arm went thru his chest, however missing his beating heart. He grabbed the other arm sending light into it as well. "Within every darkness, there is light as well." he said "and...." he grit his teeth. "I will set it free" he said, letting go of her twisted arm still spreading with light, he grabbed Shadow Reiko close to him, in a sort of hugging embrace, although he knew the problems about this. He was vunerable to any short range attacks. He continued to spread his light to the Shadow Reiko. Alex's mom smiled "of course! Please, everyone, have fun! Everything tonight is free as well. Just keep that beast under control." she said pointing at X. X looked down
"yes ma'am. I will stay under control." she said in a rather monotone voice."as I said, please, don't worry about X, shes completely under control. I promise. Besides, your frightening her!"Alex's mom sighed and nodded "i still do not trust her, however if Alex does, then what am I to say?"

Dark Reiko became infected with the light, screaming as it burst her shadow, though in a last ditch effort, she tried to pierce deeper into Eric, but eventually fell onto the ground, her dark form defeated. She then began to be bathed in light, standing up weakly, though a bit battered. "Th-Thank you, Eric." She said, smiling somewhat, though limping. "I fought my hardest, but I was overcome by the heartless. Thanks to you, the world, the keyhole, and even Reiko, is safe." Light Reiko motioned towards the keyhole as it now appeared to be repair of all the damage it had taken. "With the mastermind gone, the remaining heartless shall quickly flee or be engulfed in light." Reiko won over herself, though now passed out, her body currently resting. In her hand was the rose that Eric laid in her hair, clenched tight in her fist. Alex smiled widely and hugged his birth mother. "Thank you, Mom! I promise X will be all right. How's Dad and Big Bro doing?"

The attack was successful, as that final attack went right thru his chest, however slightly near his vital organs. As the Dark Reiko became that of Light, he created a huge leaf for her to fall on and to help her back up. Eric nodded to the Light Reiko. "unfortunately, there will be more heartless trying to come, I can feel the presence....of my friends from the academy.....one of them is said to have brought destruction to this world, although she was forced to. The people of this world will have a negative reaction to her being here, and so the shadows...the darkness....will start to spread again to search for this place. This world, heart and all....needs a guardian.....to watch over this place....and to fight to keep it safe." He slowely walked towards the keyhole. "and I will do anything to keep Reiko safe, even if it means....to leave a part of myself behind, since her heart and the world's heart are one now." He gently touches the keyhole. "My grandmother is the being of light that descended from Kingdom Hearts many, many years ago. With that....I have part of her power, at least....enough....to do this." he was getting weaker and weaker by the second by the mortal wounds he suffered, his white and orange robes were now blood stained. He concentrated, his body started to take a ethereal glow. He released parts of his heart within the keyhole. He then slid down from the keyhole into a sitting position. "now....if the shadows or nobodies or anyone threatens this world or its heart again.....I will be here to stop it.....no matter what." He started to close his eyes from exhaustion, however he was still very much alive. His magic started to cover himself up in leaves to stop the bleeding. "I can taste the light of this world.....its getting stronger."Alex's mom looked at X and growled, "if you go after the heart of this world, I can promise you'll see the next day!" she threatened. Rose felt it as well.
"no, hold on.....was....something happening with the heart of this world lately?"Alex's mom looked confused "no, only Princess Reiko knows that. Shes connected to this world....you....wanna meet her?" Rose looked at Alex.
"Alex, maybe you and the others should have some fun. Something tells me I need to talk to Reiko....although I can't translate.....maybe I can fake it thru...."

"You are a kind soul. Even for one without a full heart." Light Reiko said, smiling as she closed her eyes. "Your Reiko...I can feel her love towards you. It is truly strong....But she seems to be resting, though not well." Opening her eyes, Light Reiko walked to the keyhole and traced her finger alongside the edges. She then watched as Eric mended his wounds, quite amazed. "You may rest here as long as needed. Though your Reiko seems to be longing for you. It's nice to see such a bond exist." Reiko laid on the floor, out cold. After a short time, she forced herself up, retsting on the seat before smiling to herself. "Eric..." She said before then fixing herself up to seem okay. Alex nodded to Roe. "Yeah. If you need help, come find me. Or yell. Or something." He said while holding X's hand and looked to his mother. "Hey Mom! After you two go see Reiko, wanna spend a day with me and X? We can tell you all about what happened when we were away!"

Eric smiled. "I'll probably rest topside then." he said making a wooden staff appear to help him walk. "take care." he said before limping out, the leaves not leaving his wounded area, however exposing his bloodied robes. Alex's mom nodded and smiled "yeah, we can do that! And I got some stew cooking at home, probably enough for all your friends if a make rice too. Come now Rose" Rose left with Alex's mom to see Reiko.X smiled to Alex then smelled the air
"I smell...good food! Its hard to describe....and...whats 'rice' and 'stew'?" she asked, her curiosity was definatly peeking.Rose slowely walked thru the crowd headed towards where Reiko was.Alex's mother made her way to get ahead of Rose, she told the ones protecting where Reiko was of their purpose, and they allowed them thru. "Princess Reiko, you have a visitor."

Light Reiko waved Eric off. Reiko smiled at Rose, though weakly. "Ah. Welcome to the festival. You do look somewhat familiar." She said, squinting her eyes. "Rice is a dish were you eat cooked grain. It's a side though. Stew is...Well, it's kinda a bunch of veggies mixed with spices and stuff to make soup." Alex answeredd.

"im from the Academy, Reiko" Rose smiled softly.
"Im Rose. Im not sure if you and I met, but Eric talks non stop about you, he was right, you are beautiful." she smiles
"I can feel the heart of this world. I was wondering if I could have your permission to seek it out. I felt the heart of this world become healed however something was off. Also I brought Alex, Amu, Yama, and X with me.....please don't worry about X though, shes under control when shes with Alex."Eric slowely walked up towards where Alex and everyone else was. X sniffs the air.
"I smell.....blood...." she then looked and saw Eric slowely coming towards them
"Oh my god, is that Eric!"Eric fell onto the ground still a small distance from where they were, the last attacks he suffered from Dark Reiko had deprived him of much of his blood and energy. The leaves around him were starting to wither.

"Ah, the academy." Reiko repeated, still smiling at Rose as she then frowned, worried about X. "If you keep her under control, she is welcome here. But I don't think she will be met with friendly stares all around. As for travelling towards the heart, you may. I only ask of you to be careful. Eric may have cleared out the remaining heartless, but some may still lurk there." Alex rushed to Eric's side and pushed him, worried. "Eric! Dude! Are you alright?" He said, noticing the holes. "Crap..." Alex said, looking to X. "I think if we both heal him, we could save him."

"of course I will. Knowing Eric....he probably is removing all the heartless from the world to keep you safe."Eric looks at Alex and groans X nodded and gently took his hand, she emitted a healing magic and smiled blushing.

"He has. I can feel part of him still within the gate." Reiko replied, smiling ath the feeling of being protected by him. Alex focused and then cast a healing spell at the same time as X, a small blush on his face because of holding X's hand.

"I really appreciate you speaking my language instead of your own, its amazing." she smiles then holds her head
"oh no....Eric!" She dashes out Eric's wounds healed partially "These wounds are deep, really really deep" X said.Rose ran up
"I got the mental message X and came as soon as I could..." she then saw Eric
"dammit! I was hoping you were joking." she said kneeling down pulling Eric into her lap.
"Curaga can only heal so much. He needs rest too."
