Viktor looked at Alaci as she followed the group. Times like this made him remember that Midna was with a rather large group of animals.

((Doesn't matter that much. He isn't seen much until near the end of the game anyway.))
"Caught by who, exactly?" Rayne asked out loud, forgetting the fact the animals couldn't communicate with anyone but other animals all that easily. He doubted the other animals even knew, now that he thought about it.

Midna floated off of Link's back and faced Zant in front of them. "This will be a battle you can't win," she said. "If you don't leave, I'll make you." A thin threat, she knew, but hopefully good enough to avoid a fight.
Zant did not move. "You know as well as I do you are weak as that... thing," he said in disgust.
Midna glanced down at the animals behind her. "Hero, Dog-boy, get everyone on the other side of the walls," she muttered. "I'll join you in a minute." At least, that's what she was saying out loud. In reality, she was thinking, We're screwed.

Coremean looked over at Midna and Zant worriedly, but Link was already leading them out. I hope she's going to be okay...
(Writers block sucks... I guess its my turn for it sweatdrop )

(( Wh...Where is the group right now? I find ourselves moving too fast and getting rather off game to the point of confusion. ))
One moment, they were in the heart of Hyrule Castle. The next they were all sprinting, or in Eidolon's case, slithering out of the city like Bats out of the very depths of Hell itself. Eidolon was left with considerably more questions than answers, as well as a minor concussion from when he smacked his head on the stairs after he fell out that window. Midna glared at him and said something as they moved along, but Eidolon was too focused on keeping up to catch it.
Then all at once they all came to a grinding halt in the wake of some figure clad in clothes he had never had the displeasure of seeing before and a mask that Eidolon acted repulsed by but secretly envied. Very nice craftsmanship on that thing, he thought. Did that part just lift up to reveal his mouth? Really, really, nice.
Midna did not seem as impressed and was glaring at the man. Midna threatened the man, but the fellow merely brushed it off telling her that she was as weak as "that thing." Whether he was gesturing to Fido or the Hero, Eidolon could not tell. He imagined it was Fido, since that dog did seem a bit on the weak side.
"Honestly, I cannot be the only person here confused beyond belief...Never-the-less, to the walls I go..."
Eidolon slithered off towards the walls, as directed.

Viktor looked at Midna with worry before he followed the Hero and the others towards the wall. Letting out a slight growl as he heard the word weak. He despised such a word and for once wished to be human so he could actually talk and defend himself other then let out various growls.

(At the moment we're in Hyrule Castle courtyard. Zant is blocking the way out (and he was referring to Midna when he said "that thing," by the way) and Midna just instructed Viktor and Link to dig some holes so everyone else can escape to outside. Midna is planning on fighting Zant.)
Zelda watched the animals as Midna gave instructions. Apparently the only one who was listening misheard and went alone to the wall. What an idiotic serpent, she thought. Trying to assure herself, she played her childhood lullaby on her ocarina. It didn't work. "Midna, please don't do something stupid," she whispered.
"Ya know, you're making a big mistake underestimating me," Midna called, hoping Zant would call her bluff. "I can do more stuff than you think like this." She began to focus, but earlier events had left her weaker than expected. Nevertheless, she tried focusing her energy into making one of those energy balls again. Slowly it grew, a loose sphere of red and black threads, crackling. She looked behind her. The animals still waited. "Go dig!" she snapped at the two wolves. "Get everyone out! Now!"
Zelda pressed two fingers to her eyes. "I knew she'd do something stupid..."

Viktor nodded and ran towards a wall, starting to dig. He was one to do things when told...if he heard correctly the first time. The wolf look a like was used to being bossed around due to his father's training.

Alaci turned and followed the others, trying to keep calm, she listened to Midna and the other things conversation. She looked over and saw both of the wolves digging, she shifted silently, her bright yellow eyes scanning the area quickly..

Eidolon promptly arrived at the wall and coiled up a couple feet away from the digging Viktor as to not get showered with dirt or prompt the dog to attack him for Eidolon's previous snarky comments. He considered offering words of encouragement, but that would just as well have Eidolon murdered anyway. Instead he noted that the dog and one of the cats were the only other people over here. He scowled, looking towards the rest of the animals. If they continued to stand dumbfounded behind Midna, they would all likely be captured or killed.
Captured...Or killed.
"Dig a bit faster, will you? Just because they're going to get themselves killed over there doesn't mean we have to."

Coremean ran up to where Viktor, Eidolon, and Alaci were waiting. He looked around nervously. He couldn't shake the feeling something was about to happen, good or not.

Viktor ignored Eidolon but dug a bit faster. Wasn't the Hero supposed to help?!

Rayne's ears flickered, then he trotted away from Midna's side and towards the snake. He would have growled, but he figured he could always do that later, after Viktor dug the hole. One animal was good enough, but if he decided to take his time, then Rayne decided he would take over.

Link growled at the newcomer, his hackles raised in a threat of defiance. Something about this stranger sent chills up and down his spine, making the hair along his backbone bristle with unease. He felt the growl rumble through his chest as he hesitated to abandon Midna as she stared down the one who must be called Zant. After a few silent moments, he scowled darkly and trotted away, abiding by Midna's request after the others had already left.

"Please work, please work, what am I saying, it won't work," Midna whispered. Earlier in the day, she had already resigned herself to either a life of being cast in the Light Realm or no life at all. Bracing herself, she released the energy ball. It skittered awkwardly a few feet before it fizzled out.
Zant cocked his head. "Is that the best you can do?" he asked as he conjured up a huge ball of black energy with no difficulty. He lobbed it at Midna. It sped towards her with the force of a bullet, and was even deadlier.
Midna's face dropped. "Ah, crap," she said as the ball rammed into her stomach. She flew backwards about thirty feet before colliding into the stone wall with a sickening crack and slumped to the ground.
Zelda leaned far over her window, so far she nearly fell over. "Midna!" she screamed. "That does it." Zelda pulled the rope from her closet (don't ask), tied it to her bedpost, and threw the other end out the window. She began rappelling down the side of the castle.
(So how many other people have realized the Eidolon/Ruto relation?)
