Stella winced as Gage started to rub the ointment onto her bruises. She giggled, getting some on her finger tips and rubbing it gently in the bruising on his cheek. She smiled brightly, it quickly faded as his hands worked over on the bruises, causing her to cringe in pain. "You never told me you played football... Now that's hardly fair." She smiled and looked at him, feeling a little bit of relief from her bruises.

Gage chuckled and winced when her fingers worked on his jaw "Yeah, I played in high school, and some during summer... he trailed his hands down her sides, a more normal look of faint lust crossing his face for a moment

"These bruises better not stop you from touching me." She pulled him close and pressed her lips softly to his. She pulled back after a moment and looked him the in eyes. "I love you.. And from what you did back there.. I owe you big time...Name your price." She winked at him and giggled.

Gage laughed as she spoke and pressed her lips to his "No worries there Stell, I'm just being careful... And you don't owe me... I love you, and he tried to hurt you, and take that love away from me... He got what he deserved." he shrugged one shoulder as he looked down at her

Stella yawned and pulled Gage into bed with her. She snuggled against his chest, not bothering to pull the blankets up. Gage could supply all the warmth she would need. Slowly her eyes closed and her heart beat slowed and she was on the brink of falling asleep. "Thank you.." The words faded and the only sound coming from her was her soft breathing. Her breath hit Gage's collar bone lightly, like a warm breeze.

Gage used his feet to pull the blankets up over them, adjusting the beside controls for the AC in the house... He shifted softly and sighed in comfort... Soon enough he was passed out cold...
Morning came far too soon, and Gage was up and showered by 7, he had to work today, and wasn't looking forward to it. He pulled on his work clothes and sighed as he kissed Stella softly on the cheek

Stella woke up when she felt Gage get out of bed and go shower. She sat up and stared into space until he came and kissed her on the cheek, finally snapping her out of her daze. She brought her eyes to Gage's, they looked scared as if she thought something was there to get her. "If something happens.. I'm gonna call you.." Her mind instantly thought Bryan, but she wasn't sure if Gage would get the connection. Even at his apartment she didn't feel safe.. He could of followed them home and been searching for a way in all night.

Gage grabbed a piece of paper after she spoke, and wrote a code on it "This is the code for the alarm system on the apartment, you can't even touch a window if it's engaged, so no worries... Just know that you'll be safe here honey..." he kissed her cheek and pressed the note into her hand "I'll only be gone about four hours honey... So no worries."

Stella grabbed the code slowly and crumbled it up in her hand, refusing to let it go. "I'll probably sleep the whole time.. I don't feel good.." She pulled the blankets up to her chin and rolled onto her side, hugging Gage's pillow to her so she could pretend he was there from his smell. "I'll see you when you get back.." She closed her eyes and quickly fell back asleep, leaving Gage the opportunity to head off to work.

Gage set the alarm as he left and got into the truck, heading to work....
Things were un-eventful as he went about the motions, constantly checking his phone for updates from Stella. He couldn't seem to concentrate on the baby blue classic Cougar they were restoring as he watched his phone. Finally he could go home, and did so... He had Horatio drop him off outside so he could keep the truck and jogged up the stairs, turning off the alarm before he entered.

Stella was still asleep when he got home but her skin had turned a ghostly white and her eyes flickered behind her eye lids. She sat straight up in bed, her chest rising and falling with sporadic breaths. "Gage?" Her voice was shaking and her stomach lurched. She felt terrible, almost like she was having a nasty allergic reaction to Bryan. Oh crap... Did any paint get on my skin yesterday... She jumped out of bed and frantically looked to see if there was paint anywhere on her body.

"No I know. But did I get any paint on me yesterday?" Her voice was panicked and she continued to try and scan her body to find any paint that may have splattered on her. She was allergic to paint ball paint but she hadn't gone paint balling in awhile so she had completely forgot.

Gage stopped her hands and looked her over, finding that indeed, she had gotten one splatter across her ribs, his color faded into the bruising, so it hadn't been noticeable "Are you allergic to the paint? If so, do you have a way to combat it?"

Stella tapped her lip, trying to remember where she put her EpiPen. She walked over to one of her bags, and knelt next to it, trying to calm herself as she dug through the bag. Finally she pulled out the pen and pulled off the cap, shoving the needle into her leg to inject the medicine. She held it there for about 10 seconds before pulling it out and shuddering. "I can't believe I forgot.."
