Kaiu Hana would smile gleefully, though she would be a tad distracted by the urgent sounding request from Miyako. "Yes, we can speak in private. If the rest of you will excuse us ladies, of course," Hana would say, bowing to the lot of you. "I'm eager to hear about what all of you have accomplished so far!"
Excusing herself and Miyako, she would lead her guest away to speak.

After a good deal of walking, Miyako would be lead to the estate's Den. Sliding the door shut behind herself after allowing Miyako to enter the chamber, Miyako would gesture towards the sitting pillows. "Please, sit. Feel free to speak your mind, Shosuro-san."

@ Kuda Mura Hijinks:
Bayushi Kojiro would retrieve his stuff from the Husk and Shell Inn, but decided to take a scenic route back to the estate. He would try to see if he can find any evidence of the two ashigaru's passing on his exploration. However, looking for set footprints he wouldn't recognize at night in an unfamiliar area was a lot more tricky than they made it sound in the movies kabuki plays.
He turns up nothing in his search.

@ Kaiu Estate, reception area:
With both Scorpion out of the picture, that would leave Ujina Denbe, Yoritomo Hisashi, and Kakita Zanzen alone. But not for too terribly long, it would seem. The door to the reception area would slide open, and a large, thick, bearded, burly, surly looking Crab would gaze upon all of you, taking a moment to process the site.
"Who are you, and why in jigoku are you in my home??" Kaiu Ieyasu would address the three of you, a low growl of displeasure in his voice. His attire apparently was already dirtied and distressed, and his posture slowly changed to an aggressive one, though he made no motion to draw his blade yet.

@ The Husk and Shell
The Scorpion cursed to himself as he could find no foot tracks to follow. Since he could not find anything, Kojiro would take the most pleasant way back to the Kaiu estates and kind of meandered along to the Crab family's home. The Bayushi thought he might be pushing himself and figured that it may be time to rest. If they were taking an extended stay here, perhaps he could talk to the ashigaru in the morning. If not than it would be something he could pass on to another clansman to look into...when he had the chance.

Denbe might have lept out of his skin, were he an individual prone to jumpiness. Fortunately he, like his clan's namesake, was the very epitome of calm composure.
He opened his mouth to give an explanation and manners that would have been much alike Hisashi's, until he realized how redundant he would have sounded, and just as quickly closed it.
He really should have said something. That would have been good- almost expected. Was it expected? Maybe. But they were Crabs. And better if he didn't open his mouth. He'd just eaten. What if they really did cook the cumin in gently? He didn't smell or taste it, that was unheard of, but he'd never been to Crab lands before. What if his tongue started swelling? What then if it bulged up mid sentence!? He couldn't start talking like that. He could just be quiet. But then what if it swelled anyway? It hadn't yet.
Maybe he was okay?
No, that kind of thought always tempted the Kami to mischief! It could swell any moment now, what would he do, what would he do? If the cumin was silent there could have been any amount, heavily laced, and he'd never know until it was too late! Maybe he should go wash his mouth out to be safe?

Letting herself recline upon the pillows, Miyako fidgeted with the pillows as if feeling a bit awkward about speaking to Lady Kaiu in this regard. After a few moments, she looked up and smiled shyly at the Lady. "This is going to seem quite childish, my lady. My father and I play this ...game of sorts. Each clan I visit, I need to learn one skill from that clan. Obviously, sometimes I learn multiple skills on multiple trips. He, however, chooses the skill to learn." She paused to let this sink in.
"He believes that every clan has a skill that others could be better served by learning. For this trip to the Crab lands, even though I have important work, I was told to, if possible, to learn how to ....well...drink like a Crab." She hurriedly corrected herself. "Stamina, if you will." She lifted the 'other' small container she carried. "He even supplied me with a bottle of Shochu."

Kaiu Hana would let out a sincere chuckle at the type of request that Miyako had asked of her. "You had me worried, Shosuro-san! I thought the matter much more dire than that!" With a hand on her chest as she breathed a sigh of relief, her eyes would flutter open and she would ask with a coy smile, "Why the need to ask me this in private, Shosuro-san? I think it would be rather rude to participate in such an activity while excluding your companions, don't you think?"

"Well, I've been warned that Shochu is a rather strong drink, and I've only just met most of my companions. With being unattached, it seemed less unseemly to ask in private, Lady Kaiu. I have several Crane relatives who would be quite put out if they found out I had been anything less than ladylike in what they would deem public." She smiled. "Besides, most everyone thinks every single scorpion is out to get them, they'd probably be worried that I wouldn't be able to hold back if I lost my inhibitions." A small chuckle to allay the woman's fears.
"Plus I only have the one bottle."

"Is everyone alright? I apologize, I shouldn't have left you here alone when my husband returned home!" she would immediately start up, bowing her head very deeply towards the lot of you.
Around this time, Kojiro returns, having missed all the fun but catching the apology.

"Welcoming" or "hospitable" certainly wouldn't have been the words for him, after all.
Oh god, was his face swelling? He'd just spoken, he didn't hear a lisp. He must not have been bloating or turning red, or the Crab might have slain him for an oni. And no one seemed to be staring at him, they would stare, right? Not ignore it to be polite? Kami, wasn't this room growing too hot though? Was that only him? Ancestors help him-
