He nodded, ignoring her anger.
"Have you any old records then of the past? Did anyone keep any census reports, town hall meetings, anything you can think of?" he thought for a moment
"You told me of a story of the creature in the forest that eats people. If that is a word-of-mouth story then surely there must be others."

Sayomi clicked her tounge in thought. "Yes, old records..." she agreed, nodding slowly. "How long has Blackthorn been established for? Was there perhaps a town here before?" Sayomi tilted her head curiously, thinking.

Willow leaned back, thinking. After a moment, she breathed a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry but all of this is very hard to remember. I might think of something later, but right now I can't seem to think of anything." she folded her arms across her chest and looked back at her picture. "...Kind of makes you wonder, though, what the scanger did to deserve something like that?"

Bartheyamus sighed as he stood up. He rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck. He decided to go upstairs to his room. Perhaps he needed to lighten up a little but he just couldn't fathom how someone could live here, where danger was always present and know so little. Perhaps in time he could teach everyone how to use magic and perhaps train himself how to use his swords better. He jingled the keys in his hand, this time having difficulty finding the right one to open the door. He lit some candles and incense and went to his bag. He pulled out a throw rug, a special one he always used to meditate. If he didn't have the will to control his emotions, he figured he needed to focus his chakra energy. He didn't mind if anyone was to visit hid room but for now, he was going to meditate.

Willow shrugged as bartheyamus left the lobby. She stood up and began walking toward the kitchen. "all this talk has gotten me hungry. Anyone care for a bap?"

"I'm in the mood for something with meat" Suika shouted from across the room

Willow nodded her head, pleased by their requests. "Okay, I'll go stir something up." after a few moments, sounds of clattering pots and pans could be heard from inside the kitchen, where Willow was working.

Suwako wondered how Barth was doing " hope he's not too steamed" she thought wondering if she should check on him

Willow shook her head; she was already done. "I just warmed up some leftovers." she explained. She came out again and handed the orders off to Suwako and Seika. Then she returned to her desk, opened the drawers, and began pulling out papers. She brushed the hair out of her face and began reading over them, searching for something. Looking up for a moment, she breathed, "My ma liked to collect newspapers; there might be something in one of these."

"mmm not sure what this is but it hits the spot" suika complimented as she continued to eat

Willow smiled faintly at the compliment, but continued to read through the articles. She sighed; reading had never been her best subject. "Hmmmm," Willow mumbled, "I can't seem to find anything useful. But then again, whatever we're looking for might have happened before I was even born..."

"Yeah, I suppose so," Willow shuffled through another newpaper, growing obviously more frustrated as she read. Finally, she flung up her arms in dismay, "This is a bunch of--" by chance, she looked down at the papers again and saw something that caught her interest; she leaned over and lifted the paper up, smiling slyly. "I think I found somethin'."
