well our showing is basically about clubbing, its theme is a friday and in the show it goes from traffic - to daydreaming at school- to night on the town. and we have desks on the field and they make a stage that our color gaurd dances on. they're uniform is like a slutty buisness suit.

what makes our show unique?
it's written by one of our band directiors.
no one has ever done it the drill is written by our drill instructor
we have all these show movements :]
this is my first year of marching by the way :]]

We happen to have some pretty swell props to make it look like a park.
And there is this one section in our show where... we don't march really... it highlights all of the sections and we do a lot of visuals. Oh, and after that, we have to "rock out/get down with it". It's fun.
Plus, the trombones bring their horns up in a pretty cool manner... it's a visual more of/

`Chris` we have a hugeee dancefloor tarp from 30 to 30 on the field, 4 stages on the corners of the dancefloor, and 7 towers in the back with tango art on them . . Copy-cats!!! D< We did the dance mat thing about four or five years back. xD The colorguard was breakdancing.
Ours is unique since our band directors commission people to write the music for us, and they've got all these connections going around all marching season every year that makes it so difficult to coordinate stuff. D8 But it makes our show beautiful. *0*
And this year, we're marching while playing sixteenth notes at 160~ Dx We usually stand, stationary, but this year, they decided we needed to get us moving around and playing virtuostic parts at the same time. Eek. I sense disaster ahead. s n o w

in the beginning of our show everyone except the pit puts their flags and instruments down and for about 16 measures of our show we do tii-chi while the pit plays this kool medley thing

we have a bunch of cool visuals like our own special flute dance (which we made up), and a cool contra flip!
also at another part of the show, the bases put their drums down and do a dance with the guard.

Let's see...my freshman year the entire band did a company front on the front sideline, put their instruments down, picked up guard poles, and did a fight scene while the guard played drums for the drumbreak.
Sophmore year we had boxes which we moved out onto the field and then danced on, and we turned back field, pulled vests OUT OF OUR PANTS, did a chair step, turned around again, and stuffed them back into our pants.
Last year our show was DOWN ON THE FARM and we had a giant barn which I HATED, we wore overalls, and we had flags which, again, we pulled out of pants.
This year we have what is fondly known as the death spiral of doom, where the band spirals and each ring of the spiral moves in a different direction. And of course we have crazy body moves that our director adds to torment us.

Well as always all of our music is rearranged for us and we don't ever use a "set" show, we make our own, but this year we marched approximately 100 pages of drill including about 6 subsets and had one of the hardest shows in Tournament of Bands

Every year, we have a form called the criss-cross block. About 9 or 10 lines of 20-25 people move forward in opposing left/right directions, diagonal in 16 counts for two yard lines, and then the other left/right direction to make it a block again in the same manner as the first 16: diagonally and to the front. I have a video of it here.This year, we did it in 5/4 time signature, so it was 10 and 10, and a yard line and a half as opposed to two. x.x;

Um...funky wire type things instead of feathery plumes, our entire show has been written by our director, our lead drum major has wires and a sound board on her platform and the best of all...
We do the electric slide.

My band is pretty interesting...
My band is a swing band. We have high knees and major horn swing. We have mostly fast tempos and include danceing and a whole bunch of fun things that a core band wouldnt have
