WinglessEagle Well the best way you can really keep up in here is if you actually post. That might, you know, kind of help keep up with things. Just maybe.
And another thing... about the "unimportant crap". I'm assuming that you're talking about how we're goofing around. Well isn't the point of a role play that people get to do what they love [write] and improve their skills, whilest having fun? Yeah, that would be the last part there, "having fun". I'm not going to be all serious and boring in a role play just so what I say doesn't seem "unimportant". You know what? I had to read through five pages and my post was a page and a half long in Word. I like having long posts, but when it takes two hours and the need to read crap that wasn't even helping the story along just to get one in it sort of ruins my fun. So I deleted my post and left the OOC message before I put my character further into the game. Second, do you really think that if you'd been sucked into a game with no idea if you would die for real if you got killed in it, and no way of knowing how to get out that you would be all happy and flirty and excited about it? I sure don't. The actions of the characters were completely unbelievable and pointless. That's why I said it was unimportant crap. Because it was unimportant and it was crap. I'm not saying you can't have fun. I'm only saying that the RP is worthless if you can't make it seem believable. That's the part where the fun is ruined. You get my point?

Different people have ways of coping with situations, dearie. Is it wrong to get excited to get sucked into your favorite video game, and be excited that one of your best friends from the game is there? That, and not everyone freaks out and goes "OMGEE WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!" Adrian's personality is that he hides behind this facade of happy-go-lucky, cheery goodness. As for the others, their way of dealing is their own and I have no control over it.
Seriously, it's not like they got teleported to another planet full of deadly aliens, it's a video game. I mean, when you go somewhere, you don't automatically wonder if you can die there? Like I said, they were kind of stuck at that point where "my favorite video game" was their first thought, not "I'm going to die in my favorite video game".
I mean, think about the kind of people that generally play video games. They're not serious old geezers, they're kids. So kinds aren't allowed to play around in a video game? As for me, I would think that if I got sucked into a video game, I'd think it was virtual reality and think it was totally awesome! I'd be eager to run around and play in it and meet other people.
If you really think about it, I doubt you'd be freaking out upon the second you enter "WTFBBQSAUCE I'M DOOMED" if you got sucked into a video game where you fought /slime bubbles/. As soon as the acid rain came, yeah, everyone became serious because they realized that this was some serious s**t.
You get my point?

That's total bullshit and you know it.
If I got sucked into a video game, regardless of what friends were there, I'd freak out. I'd be calm, but completely terrified and yeah. I would think things through. I wouldn't run around all holly-jolly laughing and flirting. I'd be talking with everyone, trying to figure out what should/could be done.
I know not everyone reacts the same way, but be serious for a minute and use your brain. I highly doubt you would be happy about the concept of being stuck in a game, whether it be your favorite or not, where you would have to fight to survive and if you died you didn't know if it was the end or if you'd be regenerated like you normally would.

Seems that you and I are completely different people here, hun, and maybe that's where you lack the ability to understand.
I am a gamer. I will spend whole days and nights playing video games.
I love them.
So that's why, if I was sucked into a video game then s**t yeah! I'd be thrilled! Now you're probably different than me in that aspect, and I won't deny that I'd still question what was going on, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be excited.
And, depending on circumstances and video game, I could be quite fine with being stuck in a video game. I mean, I wouldn't like to be in something like Gears of War, mind you, but a friendly MMO I would be fine with.
And, once again, I will say that these people are /kids/, not adults. They're more likely to think first about the gaming aspect than the danger. And it's not like when you enter a game, you're automatically going to think about whether or not you'll have to fight.
I don't know about you, but battle systems of games is one of the last things I look for when I am looking for a good game. First I check out storyline and plot and the general basis behind the game, and THEN the battle system.
I could be one of those people who doesn't automatically wonder about whether or not they were going to die the second they enter a video game, but maybe it's just that I figure Adrian is an optimist. Sure, he thought about it, but he was curious to see what all else was going on in the game beforehand.

So dear I love him that with him, All deaths I could endure. Without him, live no life.
Basically you guys just think differently.
I can agree with...what do I call you? Eagle? whee I can agree there are certain games I wouldn't want to be in while others I would be excited first then worried later.
Gears of War - No Tekken - Hell yea Oooh I even took Capoeira for two years!! Me and My Katamari - Hell Yea!!! Perfect Dark - Not so much.
Lurid I can understand also. I admit when I got back from work the RP had gone from two pages to seven and there was nothing there to move the storyline along after I'd spent the time to read everything.
Calling it crap and cursing was a bit much. The RP is cluttered and so forth but all that had to be done was pull out and state your reason behind it, sans curse words.
The purpose, I believe, was simply to be fun. Maybe Lurid is the more logical serious type and Eagle more...whimsical (for lack of a better word). Two people with differing personalities and game preferences 3nodding

Capricorn, I couldn't have said it better myself.
I mean, people have to understand that I'm basing this roleplay's game off of Maplestory.
It looks like this, if you want to check it out :
www.nexon.net
For cripes sake, the first monster you seriously have to fight that actually pose a threat in the game is a small /snail/. Which does 3 damage. Now, sure, I made the roleplay version a bit more dark and sinister, but I still think of it like we're all chibi characters killing mushrooms. Unless you're, you know, afraid of little white puffy floating fuzz balls that you have to kill within the first few minutes of the game, which do completely no damage to you. Ohh, those horrifying floating balls of puffy white.
And like I said, being a gamer, I find the idea of being in a video game fan-freaking-tastic. Perhaps I'll make a Silent Hill game roleplay later that everyone can s**t themselves in upon entering, if it would make you feel better. For now we've started making our way into the quests, so I'd appreciate not hearing any more "not progressing with the story" sort of thing. 'kay, thanks, discussion ended.

xD You have to download it and stuff, but the graphics are AWESOME. I was so addicted to that game >o< I have a level 121 Dragon Knight, a level 104 Chief Bandit, a level 75 Hermit, and a level 54 Ice/Lightning Wizard.
Oh, the times the times.
If you play, start playing on Broa so I can introduce you to people and help you out. o-O I hab 60 million meso in that game on my main character. Roar! [/rant and or bragging]
You get to kill tiny kittens! >:]
But I mean, now you see why it's so hard to be necessarily scared for your life for entering such a game, ne?

Ooo, I might download MapleStory. I tried before but my computer was a devil's spawn back then so it didn't work out Dx Though now my computer is running very nicely so when I get the chance I shall download it. I've played Audition from Nexon and that is pretty addicting so i'm sure i'll get addicted to MapleStory.

If you'd stated that it was like Maple Story then we probably wouldn't have had this problem with the realisticness of it or whatever... :: sigh :: I was thinking crazy frightening monsters like Diablo and such. Not cute little fuzzy round things I'd rather hug that destroy... :: sigh ::

::Blinku:: Well if you poofed in there, you'd see that all the party is really fighting right now is blue slime bubbles, enlargened rodents, and owls.
::Giggle:: Oh, no, we weren't about to rush into a battlefield covered in /demons/ or anything! x3 I wish you'd stuck around, dearie, because there's not going to be anything /terribly/ dangerous, except a balrog. O: But I'm not telling where.
And I heard Audition is fun, my friend/wifey Esti plays. She slowly got abducted by it, ::Sigh::.
