not to mention I'm only allowed to wear heavy outfits or black lipstick to big parties with my outcasts (which btw are my old school friends who, along with me, were social outcasts).
Too bad about the outfits, but again, the "no-no" in this case is black lipstick. Black lipstick draws attention to flaws in your teeth, and generally looks unclean. Not cool Giger unclean, but "I wonder if she has herpes of the mouth" unclean. Go for very dark tones, not stark black.
Very few people can pull off black lipstick.
If your teeth are even slightly off-white, wearing black lipstick will make your teeth appear yellow. Many other dark coloured lipsticks produce a similar effect. Also, as GilAskan mentioned, it does really bring the flaws in your teeth to light. Unless you have perfectly straight and diamond-white teeth, black lipstick won't work.
However, if you really feel compelled to wear black lipstick, for the love of all things good, invest in decent-quality stuff! I've seen quite a few people in the past wearing cheap and greasy black lipstick. Just thinking about it makes me cringe...
