my favs are Yoshi and Wario. though that's not to say my best is Yoshi. ((those are Peach, Cap. F., and Mario in Wario costume))

I love to own everyone with Zelda, Samus, Link, and Peach!! they are the best in the entire game. Zelda can change clothes, Samus shoots huge ballas, Peach cooks, floats,, plays golf, and tennis all the while throwing vegetables with different faces at you. Link just kicks a**

Super Smash Bros: Kirby, hands down.

Melee:
When I started playing it, my favorite was Link. He's got easy moves to pull off, he's mildly powerful, doesn't lack range, and he's freaking Link. Thing is, after playing with him for a while you realize how EVERY ONE OF HIS MOVES has some sort of delay attached to the end of them.
From there, I moved onto Luigi. His Misfire is deadly when your luck it right, his dash-A move is nice, and he flows better than Link since his moves, minus his Up-B, don't leave him open as long.
As I get even better, my current favorite is, or should I say are, the Ice Climbers. They are powerful, allow for a decent set of mind games, and, with enough practice, I'll be able to desynch them and play with two characters at once. What's not to like?
Eventually, though, I'll probably move onto Peach as my final favorite... Sio has already explained why.
(Speaking of Peach, it's funny, I remember arguing with my friend about priority in the game without ever knowing it was real and then I finally found proof online of it and got to those four words to him, "I told you so.")
