angst :3 I like when couples have to struggle, either with each other (rivals~) or something outside.

hm.... love, and lust i think...... they need each other mentally and phisically... it has to have both even if the physical is snuggling they must need each other and touch

I think that they have to look good and mesh well together. Otherwise all you get is alot of mindless sex...not that that's a bad thing.

They have to love each other, of course, but there is another important part to that. They have to be able to flow together. Like, see past each other's faults and trust each other :]
...or at least that's what important to me in any relationaship redface

First of all let me just say that I don't approve of many slashings such as the ones listed in the first post.
Alot of people have said that love is important when it comes to good pairs. For a couple to last long after the book has ended yes that is important. However there's nothing wrong with a seme getting his way with an unwilling or cautious uke who got into the situation before he knew it.

Eh... I don't hate pairings with uber-ukes, but... Well, I really, really dislike them. So, that's off.
Any 'favorite' pairing for me MUST 1) Have a good history- if they met one day, and were in "true" love the next, that's a nono. 2) Must (eventually) like each other (at least). 3) Be original...
And, things along those lines? Of course, artwork matters, too, but if the plot's good enough to 'cover' it, then I'm fine... biggrin
Ah. A plus would be... IF they liked rough play. heart

I like my pairs to be at least moderately balanced. It's not so much fun if you can tell at the outset that THAT one's the uke and will act this way, and THAT one's the seme and will act this other way, because it's like. Why not just make it het if that's all you're going to do. Equal relationships are a lot more interesting in some ways.
Also it's nice if they're not giant muscly manly men, but just because giant muscly manly men scare me in any situation. And actually caring about each other is a nice plus, but not required (because god knows I love me some one-sided Legato twinlust).

ever since you leftThe one matter most in the yaoi pairing is how others feel when this couple stands together - is it compatible? or do they loved each other that you can feel their loved too.
And to me, i will op for the 2nd. I could never smile again

I just like my yaoi pairings to be realistic. As in, they don't fall in love within the first five minutes of knowing each other. *cough*GRAVITATION*cough*
And as long as therre is reasoning behind it so that the pairing is based on more than hotness. (Though hotness is quite agreeable when coupled with reasoning. ^_^)
