my first ever tournament was at the local library, i placed 2nd out of like 65 ppl biggrin .........although only like 7 ppl know advanced techs lol xd
anyways i played jiggly the whole way and lost to a marth player we both were high percentages one stock but marths hitbox made him win sweatdrop .......ppl at the library were actually surprised how good jiggly can get........which shows just how much noobs they are lol

wait, where was this? sounds like you had a lot of fun. the biggest tournament i've ever been to had 50 people.
maybe they'll get bigger once brawl hits

I have never been to a tounament soooooo, where are they usually held and what is the average entry fee? Oh and if anyone knows the tier list could i please see it?

wow, thanks for answering. usually no one answers my questions around here mrgreen mrgreen theres a tourney at a local place tomorrow. usually anywhere from 15-25 people show up. hopefully more than less. wish me luck! i play ness, and jigglypuff.... and ive been trying to learn link mrgreen

ok, so i just got back from a tourney here. it was pathetic xp xp only 8 people showed up. they probably shouldn't've had it on a sunday.
lost my first match to my friend Vash - he's an awesome guy, always upbeat, fun to be around, though he talks trash too much. best 2 out of 3, double elimination
round one - young link ( vash ) VS Ness ( me ) - vash wins
round two - young link ( vash ) VS Link ( me ) - gus wins... he accidentally suicided twice XD
round three - Link VS Link - its a standoff! but in the end, he won.
i move to losers bracket
next i played this guy James... i only knew his name... not much else.
beat his ganon, and his marth, with my jigglypuff. ganon was easy, marth, not so much.
then i played Rey - an out of town guy... he mopped the floor with me.
round 1 - his shiek vs my Ness, i lost
round 2 - his shiek vs my jigglypuff... i lost again..
THATS IT!

yeah, i know, theres normally anywhere from 15-23 or so... im blaming it on the fact that it was on sunday.
all the guys there ( cept the one i beat i guess xp ) are millions of times better than me. name a technical term ( i dont know them all ) and they can do it. i never would have thought id get to play dudes as good as them in my own hometown, and these guys havent even been playing that long...i would say that like a year ago, i had a chance at kicking their a**, but theres no way in hell, now.
vash ended up winning the tournament. i bet the out of town dudes really enjoyed that xp

70$ for coming first out of 8 people...? WTH, the best I've won is my Terry Hat (Fatal Fury FTW!) and that was when there was about 30 people. >.>
