Yeah, a river. Lol. I can walk to it in about 15 minutes.
Anyway, Alys is the daughter of an English peasant and a Spanish immigrant. And she likes horses.

Seamus 'The Shameless' McGrail. I haven't settled on an exact year, but he's a Scot who came across the sea to find his fortune, after learning a bit about music, singing, and duelling on a couple of...independantly owned and operated ships. (Cough- pirate -cough) Still interested in picking up more knowledge about fencing, but he also enjoys just sitting around with other bards, singing, trading tales, and naturally, drinking the lightweights under the table. mrgreen

I decided to try going lae-period German, but my SCA parents are Spanish and Italian and the majority of my household is extremely early-period Celt.

14th Century London. Lady Amata Cromwell is the name. Born in Northumbria, England, and has family that yet resides upon her father's lands there. Went to London, with a family retainer, to wed her husband. Husband owned a book binding shop and was literate. Taught her the basics of reading and accounting so she could tend the business with him until they had a family. He was killed in religious strife though before she bore him any children. She now runs the shop alone, with the retainer to help keep the house.
I can go into more details on the religious strife, but it's 3am where I am and now is not a good time. I also 'got rid of' the husband for simplicity and lack of real life partner. Now that I have a boyfriend I might consider revising it, but that depends in large part on the time he chooses for his persona. He is an Englishman, but hasn't chosen an era yet.
I've yet to pin down exact years, which I'll need to do in order to pin down who my King and pope are, along with other events, such as the plague. I was inspired to choose the 14th century due to the luttrell saltire.

I am Nasıra al-Saboor bint Khalîl (Nasıra the Patient, daughter of Khalîl) eldest of the three daughters born of our father and his first wife, our mother, Sayide. I was born in Hamadan before Shāh Ismāil I, the still current Shāh, expanded his territory to include it in 1503. It is currently the year 1521 in Hamadan, Persia and the sun is soon setting on my 20th birthday.

(*Islam is the current religion of the time, and Nasıra is a devout follower.)

I joined when I was 5, so I still use what my mother created. Emer ni Maebdh, 7th or 8th century Irish. The result of a Viking raping my mother before their leader found out that she was a bard and ordered her to be released.
I honestly think I'd prefer a later period Scottish persona, but after over 14 years as Emer and getting my AoA and such under this name, it'd be a pain to change it...
