J-PiPe Sio J-PiPe Sio J-PiPe no one character is truly better then another. Yes, there are. It's the reason tiers exist at all, buddy. However, the game is balanced enough so that characters can still compete against each other, just that one character will have an easier time than the other. that's what i pretty much just said... No, it isn't. You said that no character is better than another, but I'm arguing otherwise. ...did you even read past 'no one character is truly better then another'? here, i'll post it again. the tiers just mean whos been the most useful to people in tornament play on an AVERAGE of the players. alot of lower tier characters can still school higher tier players, it's just alittle harder sometimes. that's what we pretty much just said. Yes, I did read it. But you contradicted yourself, so I merely posted under the assumption that you stood by the fact that "no one character is truly better than another".

Yeah, your the one that's right. The reason people say Roy is stronger is because his sweetspot is the body of his sword and Marth's is the tip. At their better parts, Marth is in fact stronger.

Owaera i told my friend about how roy is basically a noob character cuz he's so slow and because he has power that only noobs really need and he said that marth should be the noob character cuz he's fast and doesnt have a lot of power, i even told him about how the tier system even shows that roy is basically a noob character, he called me a liar and said how since he a lot of access with nintendo he can see the REAL tier thing and stuff, will someone please try to set him straight? even if it means PMing him, his gaia name is YOAD. I stopped reading that post after the third "noob."

I have no opinion on who exactly should or would be a noob character.
Simply put, I say that both Marth and Roy can be noob characters and if one works with them they can be advanced characters. Every character has a high potential to become hard to beat if you can play often enough with them to develope their skills. Then you'll know how high and far they can jump, their attack range, and their speed. So my answer is both and neither.
The only character I don't suggest to be a noob character is Fox; he slides around if you stop too fast and it's very annoying if you stop by an edge. You slide right off.

♫ Must have been Fate when our eyes met that day, kindred souls bonded by darkness and hate. Someone above must be laughing up there,
------------------------------------------------
Roy's sweet spot is stronger than Marth's, but Marth maximizes his range with his unlike Roy's. >_>
Marth is theoretically better than Roy, but most games are usually done by skill not character. Only when one becomes good such as Isai and Ken-good does character picks truly matter. >_>
------------------------------------------------
for this crimson thread can only lead to our demise. A bond woven by destiny which should never have been must be cut, broken within...♫

Well since marth is my main, when i switch to toy for a match[that i lost *sob] i noticed a couple things: -Roy is slower than Marth. Therefore, it lower the speed of combos. -Roy is stronger than marth. This makes him powerful without combos. -roy has a larger hit area than marth, making it easier to intcpt, and air atking. -roy has a fire effect, which allows him to rack up damage fast.us -roy is harder to time correctly than marth -roys wd, l-canceling and di-ing arent as fast as marths basicly, roy is stronger, marth is faster

Not to mention Roy is arguably faster than Marth since Roy can SHFFL faster due to his faster falling speed.

Here's my response to the use of the word "noob".
There is no such thing as a "NooB" character.
N.I.B.C.= Noob Is Behind Controller
