Edward, or Ted Forrester, as he preferred to be called by anything within the legal system, had just gotten off his latest job. He was a hitman, sent to knock off a lycan who had killed several members of the buyer's family. As the buyer's last act of revenge, he hired Edward to be the angel of death for the lycan.

The days after had been not much more than the usual protection of self that Edward was used to. The thought that the lycan may have had friends, or in fact, his master, would come after Edward was always in his mind. But Edward was more than welcoming of the challenge. And little did he know what sort of a challenge it would be.

Edward had gone to the store to pick up some necesities, and of course he hadn't gone unarmed. Had any of the civilians had X-Ray vision, they would have run from Edward, screaming at the top of their lungs.

Edward gathered the few items he needed, purchased them, and was on his way out of the store when three men decided to block Edward's escape route. Edward met them with his trademarked cold smile.

"Can I help you?" Edward asked, an edge of Ted Forrester showing in his tone.

"Yes... You can..." The center man answered. He was very tall, his head just inches from the ceiling. And he was big enough to intimidate most of the lycans Edward had ever met. In fact, this man somewhat reminded him of a beefier version of Richard.

The man walked towards Edward and circled him. The slight sound of sniffing was accompanied by the sound of flesh moving. Yes, Edward could hear the muscles moving under the man's skin. He was definately an lycanthrope. And his guess was that the other two were lycans as well.

"You're Edward... The bounty hunter..."

"I'm sorry, you must have mistaken me for someone else..." Edward said, suddenly flickering to Ted Forrester mode.

The lycan moved so fast, Edward felt the air move before he could see what the lycan had done. "I make no mistake. You are the one who killed my brother, Rufus." The lycan said. Edward suddenly found himself being held by the neck, over three feet in the air.

Edward didn't panic. Panic wasn't even a word Edward knew the definition of. He dropped his back of groceries and reached for a concealed weapon. He pulled a sawed off shotgun out of a holster inside his long jacket. He moved the barrels to meet the lycan's chest, then blew a nice big circle in the lycan's chest. Edward touched the ground again. It wasn't long before the other two lycans were on Edward.

With expert dexterity, Edward dodged and aimed the shotgun once more, removing the second lycan's head from it's shoulders. The third lycan actually changed form. Risky it was, but the lycan had just seen it's two companions killed in less than a minute. What surprised Edward was what the lycan turned into. It wasn't any form he had ever seen before. The lycan had gotten smaller in stature, but was deadlier looking than before. It had long tendrils flowing from it's head like some form of hair, and was rippling with muscles in places it shouldn't. It had a hard armor made of something that looked like dark sheet metal, and it's long tail had barbs all the way down. How it changed into something like that so fast was a mystery to Edward. But the only thing he was worrying about was how to kill it.

Anita dark eyes carefully scanned the graveyard. Something was not right. She glanced back at the customers who had paud Bert a pretty penny for her to raise their grandmother to figure out who the multimillion dollar estate belonged to. Note to self, think about quitting.

The Executioner could feel someone watching her just beyond the tree line, but she just couldn't put her finger on it.

"Miss Blake?" A lawyer inquired, but was hushed by Anita's swift glare. She returned her gaze back to the forest before responding.

"Stay here." The family complied, think that perhaps this was part of the ritual. After all, how many people had seen a preson raise the dead? Well...if they hadn't been to the Circus of the Damned?

Browning out and at the ready, Anita stalked up to the trees, letting her metaphysical fingers seach for the presence. She gasped when she felt the power. She knew him. Quickly holstering her gun, she grabbed the blonde haired lycan and pulled him out into to the open.

"Jason, what are you doing here?" She demanded, shaking his shoulders for emphasis. When he would not answer, she asked again.

"Are you here for Jean-Claude?" The werewolf shook his head. His blue eyes were fearful, as if afraid to tell her. She tightened her grip on his shoulders.

"Jason?"

"It's Edward..." Anita witheld the gasp that threatened to escape and urged him to continue.

"He's killed someone that belonged to you..." Anita's eyes widened.

"Was it a leopard?"

"No, no one knows. But he has a bounty on one of yours and he's going to collect it."
