IY_and_MCR Rellik San HOLY CRAPOLA! I thought I was the only one who had heard of, let alone liked Poe. blaugh Jefferson Starship, Hawkwind, Warrant, Peter Gabriel and Lit are also some other reccomendations of mine. smile I was starting to get the same impression myself XD Always nice to meet fellow fans of something :3 I won't say I'm a huge fan, as I've only heard the Haunted album, but I loved every minute of it, if I recall isn't she meant to be the daughter of the guy who wrote House of Leaves? because thats the book the albums based off. smile

Because the idea of fifty suggestion threads makes my blood run cold, lets all try to use this as a sort of official suggestion thread.

LAST LIST UPDATE: April 25, 2008
Oooohhhh.... a chance to create a loverly list of awesome artists... *rummages through all of her music files*
Mind you, not all of these bands are gothic, but most are either gothic, ethereal, or darkwave, though oher genres, such as pop, rock, and classical are thrown into the mix as well...
For those of you who don't feel like wading through a swamp of techno, j-pop, and other such things, I color-coded the goth rock, darkwave, Industrial, and ethereal bands on the list (seing as how those are the genres which seem to have the strongest ties to the gothic subculture). Such bands are purple. I may do more color coding later...

XWraith_LordX I thought that pretty much no one else in the world knew of their existance...until now.... You've got some lovely bands in that list my (wo)man..... Hehe... I wouldn't have come across them had I not found a couple compilation CD's at my local used CD shop. I first heard thier song 'Conjuration to Lillith' on the compilation 'What is Eternal' from Middle Pillar (I highly reccomend that CD, if you ever manage to come across a copy!), and I heard them again on the compilation 'Projekt: Gothic'. That is when I absolutely fell in love with them. Thier cover of 'Don't Fear the Reaper' is simply amazing. It's my lullabye, I love listening to it as I drift off to sleep. I own a copy of the album 'Empty Into White', and I'm hoping to eventually buy more of thier music. They're truly a hidden gem of the gothic genre.
