I have done a few things.
I have not really made anything for a few years.
It was the first thing I learned how to do in the SCA. At my first event actually.

I've started a new necklace11 biggrin It's god a leaf pendant that looks metal (though unfortunatly it's actually plastic) But I'm going to go in search of green amber for it!! biggrin

I've dome some mail but I'm not very good at it. I'd like to make a mail bracer, steel with brass rings forming a scorpion on it. Currently I usually a leather bracer to cover my scars but I'd like to make a mail one just for something different.

I have a set of leather ones I bought a couple years ago. Archers sometimes use them if they don't have the shirts with the 4-6" cuffs because it keeps your sleeves out of the way.

Bracer is a common diminutive or shortened form of the term "vambrace".
Vambraces were/are armour used to protect the forearm from damage.
Archers often wear them to keep from getting cuts, scrapes or bruises caused by shooting a bow and having the string hit the inner arm if they are not set correctly.
Vambraces generally cover half to all of your forearm. Shortened versions will cover around half your forearm. These are generally the ones used for archery. Full length vambraces cover from the wrist to around 1 inch below the elbow. These are ones used in armoured combat.

Chainmail is one of those projects that I enjoy watching others work on (some call it their "knitting"), but it's something that I just don't have the time to devote to. So for those of you that so such fine work, way to go! biggrin
