WebenBanu My impression is that Stkh does what has to be done to get the job done, even if the task is unpleasant or reflects on him badly- in fact, especially if the task is unpleasant and reflects on him badly, because in that case he's frequently the only one willing or able to do it, heh. I'd never really thought of it like that... *waves her sorries and ducks under a table*

DaughterofIsis Big fan of Isis. Mother goddess and all. Then there is Anubis. He just calls to my darker side. How can Yinepu call to your darker side? He's an incarnation of all things pure and innocent, the Gentle Guide of the Dead, protector of children and animals. perhaps you had an encounter with His other Aspect, Wepwawet.

Ubat Set has always held a special place in my heart heart Do you mean the same Set or Seth that killed his brother Asar or Orisis and is the god of destruction, violence and storms? If so then...well...everyone has their own opinion. I personally love Bast or Bastet, Anubis, Hathor, Ra or Re, Asar or Orisis, and many others.

Altho friendly and lovable he still is a god of death. I've always seen him as the friendly next door neighbor that all the kids think is creepy cause he has weird hobbies ...or a cute lil goth puppy.. ish? lol sweatdrop thats just me tho. Wepwawet has always seemed more... focused? (not to say Yinepu isn't.. just... i cant think of a better word) ninja CSA Rebel Angel Ubat Set has always held a special place in my heart heart Do you mean the same Set or Seth that killed his brother Asar or Orisis and is the god of destruction, violence and storms? He does have a lot of negitivity connected to his name tho' since he's the one who does things that are needed, but not liked. I guess I have high respect for him because of that alone... plus he's just always been there for me heart

Aset (or Isis), I definately feel like she's been there to "slap me across the face" when I do something wrong. She may be a mother figure, but it's definately a fierce mother.

One thing about Set is He's not really an evil God as most envision him. It's like with preditors and prey. Set is a balancing factor, and the Gods see our souls as more important than our physical bodies. We can be reincarnated, but Set is there to destroy the temporal. We don't like what He does, but there is an important reason for what He does.

My favorite would have to be Horus, God of the sky. I just love the whole quest for revenge against Set.

*smiles at this idea of Anubis being a "lil goth puppy" * That's cute!! Just, without the trench coat... or the pointy collar things that these people are wearing nowadays. I'm not so sure he'd appreciate that. sweatdrop
Yay for people keeping it real and straight-up here... I've missed you all.

I am very fond of Wolves and that being so most would think that the obvious choice for my favorite god would either be Anubis or Wepwawet. But... Thoth and Ma'at have always (by always I mean since I've become interested in Kemeticism) called out to me.

Anubis is tops, with Thoth next. Anubis, because he is so delicously involved with the dead and mummies... Thoth, because he is smart as me.

I don't believe in Gods, but from what i've read, Isis seems fairly amazing. She married her borther apparently, then when he died the empty throne on her headress symbolises his absense.(Wikipediaed it lol xd )
P.S I've started drawing hieroglyphs on my books since i joined this guild. xd

Ever since I first became interested in ancient Egypt I've always loved Horus and Anubis. They're the coolest looking deities wink I especially love the story of Horus and his family, it's heroic and sentimental, and I always love seeing amulets in the shape of his eye. I love Anubis just..well..because he's cool xp I think the whole process of mummification is interesting, and the Book of the Dead and the underworld appeals to me (as you can see from the scales on my avatar)..so that's why I love Anubis.
