My drumline is very cocky. But they're really good, so it's like... whatever.
My pit, while slightly less good (there's too many... 11 pit people on 4 instruments?), are very humble. Almost none of them talk, they mumble. They're all really shy.

Almost no one on the line here is cocky. Which is good, because, we are (Not to be cocky now) pretty good. We all understand that we have to help eachother because "we're as strong as our weakest player." <- drumline Slogan. There's a few cocky feshman. But, we showed them their place when all of them failed tryouts. But, we all work with them and try to get what we need done. We're also all friends... So, we go to eachothers houses weekly and practice. We all could play the best show of our life and still feel like we need to fix it. Yay for the neverending circle. xD

Yes, the drumline and trumpets tend to be like that in my band. I marched trumpet one year, so I've witnessed this first-hand. I'm in the pit right now.

My whole drum line is cocky,, especially this one stupid n00b.
He thinks he's the greatest.
So..
I "accedentialy" tossed my flag his way, and didn't catch it...

rofl

He shut up after that.

Cocky? That's an understatement.
I can't even begin to describe their idiocy.

ok in DL you kinda have to be cocky because most of the time if you're not that means you doubt yourself and the line may not be as clean as if you really believed in your abilities as a percussionist... pitt is another story all together

Drumline kids think they are the best, and to tell you the truth, it's quite annoying. They arent even the best section in the band! It's ridiculous.

We were pretty cocky (I was in the Drumline/pit but I have since graduated; I still see them from time to time). At one point though there was a large fight with another band, I'm not sure what started it, we ended up stepping in and I "accidentally" layed someone out with a Glockenspiel i was playing...^_^' heh heh...ever since then everyone in the band started getting along a lot better. we were all stuck in detention for the rest of the school year since we couldn't get removed from the band. Good times, good times. At one point during homecoming someone got the bright idea that after the band left the field we should play the "Super Mario Bros. Theme", so we did, in front of homecoming crowd, and got a bigger applause; we got a standing ovation and we got it on tape and we got in soooooooooo much trouble!

Idia
Is there a drumline that isn't cocky?

Although, most of us actually have a reason to be. >.>

My school's drumline isn't.
I'm good friends with a lot of them. They're actually some of the sweetest guys ever. They're also semi-retarded and like pulling "no homo" moments. xD

(One more year and I'll be in a high school band (hopefully marching or concert))

Anyway we had this drumline thing for a parade.
(got stuck with cymbals because everyone thought that they were too heavy and lame.)
And yes they were cocky as hell. -__-
Most of them are even if they suck really bad (which they did, execpt for the "drum major" who was really good, and quite nice.)

It was mostly the younger guys.
Those in concert though make jokes about it.
XD

There's really only two who think they're all that...One bass drummer who's kind of rude and one snare who everyone pretty much dislikes with fury and passion. XD We just avoid them and the rest of us have a good time...Our drum line's really small...Four bass, two snares, one tenor. crying
